I read a lot of review here that say don't stay there, not good service etc etc. For all the European/Western travelers: If you are used to paying almost nothing for accommodation and still be treated like king or queen like in many other Asian countries, you will be disappointed. Here you get what you pay and it is really cool. No forced conversation with an overly tired hostel manager or shallow talk with other travellers. Please know that Japan is not like other countries that you can take advantage of and understand that not everyone is here for your entertainment. The hostel itself feels more like a friend's flat, it is small but it never felt packed or too crowded. Cleanliness depends on how clean the guests are and that was really refreshing concept for a change; when I was there it was good. The hostel is located above a karaoke bar but that did not disturb me too much. The hostel also provides ear plugs. I really liked the neighbourhood of Komagome, lots of nice restaurants and a coin laundry, very helpful. The hostel is located 5 minutes from the Komagome JR station and 10 mins tops from the metro station. It made moving around very easy. I would recommend this hostel for everyone who likes independent touristing.
I like the location
I didn’t like the toilet because smelled bad, but only the toilet
2nd time staying here.. Accommodating staff during check in. Near grocery, restaurants and kombini. A few minutes walk away from station. Bldg has an elevator.
Originally i was supposed to stay here until 16th of july but due to a problem with my bank the fee wasn't charged and the property automatically cancelled the booking without notice. I hope i get notified before it happens again.
Fairly Close to metro
Self check in was comvenient
Overall the place is not kept very clean. Also in the listing it clearly states there are lockers where in fact there aren't any. They give you a bike style lock so you can lock your bag to the bed but thats not really securing your contents- pretty inconvenient when you don't want to carry all your valuables with you at all times!
