The décoration, the room, the restaurant (dinner) the breakfast
Breakfast was ok-ish
Location was not nice, restaurant staff spoke hardly any English, the hotel and especially the rooms and hallways were outdated, old and a bit scruffy and dirty.
Fabulous staff, attention to detail of service. Went over and above to assist. Super friendly.
The building needs a new lick of paint, and perhaps a second lift.
The spacious room and huge comfortable bed
The hotel is looking a little tired, our room had marks on the carpet and stains on the curtains, in need of a makeover.
Clean small boutique hotel with a personal touch. The staff made a big difference to my stay. They were very helpful with information about what to do where to eat and booked anything I requested. Next door is a coffee shop that has their roasting facilities within it. It was the best coffee I’d had in Tokyo perhaps anywhere! Also great little sandwiches and pastries. It was a little further out from the hustle and bustle but only a short walk to the train station and as it was a local neighbourhood you got to walk through the little artisan clothing and jewellery shops on the way, as well as many small local food shops. All very interesting.
