The hostel is well located with the Ginza line (Tawaramachi Station) and Tsukuba Express lines only a short walk away, and is also situated near many amazing restaurants and sweets stores. Direct trains can be taken from Haneda or Narita Airport to (Toei) Asakusa Station, which is a 15 minute walk from the hostel. Senso-ji Temple is a short jaunt away. Shopping is convenient with multiple conbini, a shopping mall, local supermarkets and 24 hour Don Quijote all a few minutes walk away for whatever you may need: be it clothes, plug adapters, food, souvenirs, etc. Free amenities are also provided including toothbrushes, razors, earplugs and - very important for the time I stayed here - face masks and hand sanitiser. There is a cosy common area with attached kitchen if you wish to buy groceries and cook to save some money, with free tea and coffee provided. The capsules themselves are affordable, comfortable and functional with in-built lockers for valuables. Guests were all respectful of not being loud in the capsule area, and earplugs are provided which helps cut down any remaining noise. My luggage felt very safe the entire time, and the bathrooms were kept clean and well stocked at all times. The staff are all very friendly, caring and helpful regarding whatever issues you may have, and all speak good English. They are also very receptive to feedback provided by residents. The three staff members I saw the most were Kimi-san, Kei-san and Kaki-san, who were not only fun to chat and chill with, but also very understanding and willing to help and advise guests through whatever issues they were having in Japan: be it online ordering, directions, translations, providing recommendations, and also helping people trying to organise return flights home - again, something particularly relevant to the time I stayed.
With two showers on my floor, I sometimes had to wait a little bit to use a shower. Any other problems I had were quickly resolved after telling staff at reception. Something to note is that the Asakusa Station nearest to the hostel serves the Tsukuba Express line, while the other (more major) Asakusa Station is a 15 minute walk away.
it is very wholesome and comfortable and the staff were incredibly polite and helpful.
Such a lovely place to stay! Great pod beds, always clean bathroom. Really cosy common area with a good kitchen.
spacious capsule room and cloudy lounge area
The need mattress needs a bit more padding. i can feel the floor in the middle.
Awesome stay - the showers were beautiful, the communal space and kitchen was gorgeous, and I loved hanging out on the roof waiting for my laundry!
The only 1 negative I have is the mattress was super uncomfortable.
