The industrial chic decor was remarkable. We felt like we were exploring and discovering as we'd take closer looks at vintage registers, a wood+leather ping pong table, or various London phonebooths. And the staff, whether at the desk, from housekeeping, or from the restaurant/bar Mundo were all kind and communicative. Our room, while not spacious, was comfortably setup/decorat ed. The quirky lamps allowed for subtle lighting. And the shower was large/luxurious. We would definitely go back. Small details that we wished would be different: the sheets could be softer, the bathroom trashcan could be quieter/silent (it's the pedal-lid kind), and the fragrance (like cologne) in the lobby is entirely too powerful. We also wished there was something approximating room service: where our order at Mundo could be brought up to our room instead of us having to pick it up. That would've probably made us feel quite pampered. :)
The place was great with a funky decor. Clean with comfy beds. Bar and restaurant in hotel a bonus! Easy enough on weekends to find off street parking. Not sure if it was as easy during week Construction on our side of building starting at 6am!! Cannot sleep with that noise!

Got a good long term discount on the room. Nice coffee downstairs. Restaurant closed for renovations much of the time I was there, which was disappointing. Room bright and clean and comfortable. Right on top of the subway, though lots of repairs and delays when I was in town. Housekeeping could have been a little more meticulous. Sometimes things weren't replaced.
The hotel and staff were very nice. The hotel scenery was awesome and it always smelled good. Our room was clean. It was really close to the subway station and a short ride to the city. Its also close to a cool town called Astoria with bars and little restaurants and its also super close to La Guardia airport. The area around it is not the nicest and I wouldn't walk by myself but it wasn't too bad. There's an awesome lil coffee shop next door called All American II Coffee Shop & Deli that serve up a mean grilled cheese with bacon and $1 hot coffees. But for the hotels.com price of $122/night it was really worth it. Everything was good except for our bed. It was the squeakiest, loudest bed I have ever slept on. And yes, the walls are very thin so when my neighbors phone rang it sounded like my phone rang next to my bed. Not a great place to stay if you are newlyweds, light sleepers, or enjoy privacy.
The staff was friendly and courteous, good live music at Mundo a restaurant they have downstairs. They have a communal kitchen on he 4th floor (convenient for some not for all) and a decent gym on the 2nd floor. They have good eco friendly toiletries The room was small and the air conditioner didn't work. It turned on but I didn't feel an change. The elevator is a little creaky and there's no mini fridge in the room.

Value is great if you're able to get a deal on Kayak. Wouldn't pay $200 a night. Location convenient access to subway rooms spacious staff friendly and helpful. Beds firm. Bedding clean and fresh. Wifi good. Lots of places to work around the lobby overall for the Kayak discounted price - it's great Should have more staff not a fan of the Turkish/Latin breakfast buffet. Nice to be different but sometimes you just want some eggs and a piece of bacon. Coffeed on Northern Blvd has great breakfast sandwiches. Shower curtain too high floods the shower room floor (they are apparently fixing that) room could use a comfortable chair band a lamp as the LED reading lights were both broken.
The decor was the highlight of the stay. I was only in for a night but that didn't stop the service from giving their best. I was on the first floor right on the street and I mean right on the street. The noise wasn't an issue as much as the people on the sidewalk looking right in my room. The tv didn't work. I found this out after coming home late and felt it eccentric to call to have it fixed at 2 am especially when you're only there for 1 night. Lastly, there were ants in my room. They got into some of my things and I had to throw away some toiletries. Refund for only a partial amount of what I payed. They handled the situation at check out even though I called around 9am and was told they would send someone right away.

The decor and cleanliness were lovely, and the location was great - quicker walk to subway and trip to Manhattan than I'd expected. Bed and sheets very comfortable, quality towels, and spacious room and bathroom. View was also terrific. The only reasons I'm not giving 5 stars are: not enough towels for a couple (despite asking for more). Breakfast/coffee service ridiculously slow and chaotic. (And really, should you charge a guest for a cup of regular coffee?) Bath products strange-very strong masculine scent to most; strong enough that I didn't feel I could use them. Shower charmingly minimal but not that practical-because it's open at one side, you end up getting water everywhere and it can get chilly for activities like leg shaving.

It was very close to the airport and the staff were very nice. Although the hotel looks like it may have been renovated not long ago, there were many things about the room that looked shabby. Peeling and bubbling paint on the bathroom ceiling, frayed and and ripped carpet and the one and only hook in the bathroom to hang anything on was pulled out of the wall and just barely hanging on. It would have pulled completely out had we put anything on it.

Very close to JFK, shuttle convenient once you take the air train from JFK to Federal Circle. Need work on room service. The number of people, including employees, clustered by the front door smoking like chimneys and blocking door access because it was raining. A huge turnoff right at the outset. The bathroom shower tile floor was sketchy, broken and uneven, so dirty water collected by the door entry. Room service forgot my entree when they delivered it. For the prices they charge for the food, they should have comp'd it, but instead they called me to apologize. 3 separate times, and AFTER I had fallen asleep.
The price was right, and the shower was hot My family and I waited am hour for our room to get ready. We arrived @ 7:30pm. Why on earth would we need to wait an hour at that time? ? Bed was very uncomfortable and TV needed to be adjusted by an engineer to be used. We requested extras pillows, and they did not have any. This property is shady at best. It is in the ghetto,and I cannot believe it is a Crown Plaza! Fresh paint and new carpet cover up a very substandard operation.

Swanky lobby doesn't translate to the rooms, which are cramped and awkwardly layed out. This is bottom end, despite the trendy sounding name. How anyone would rate this a 4 star property is beyond me. For first night of two night stay my room was oversold. They sent me to the Hyatt Times Square; much nicer.
Great hotel in the middle of everything, next to subway line. Inside hotel is the City Kitchen where you have a "food court" with many renamed local restaurants. Included breakfast was so so, not the best but good. Very clean room, they cleaned our room every day. Eight elevators, but always very busy. Extremely small room, very noisy on 7th floor (at night all trucks and constructions work and you hear everything in the room). Thanks God we got the "Deluxe City view" because it was supposed to be a bit bigger. The view is not as good as other in the area but its ok for the price. One night we found a small worm in the ice from the ice machine. They should have better beds. But over all its the best option for the $$.
Concierge- very helpful and friendly Front desk staff - apart from one individual, staff were like zombies going through only the essentials. To be fair this may be a volume issue as the front desk is very busy and the staff have to manage languages from all over the world, which I will admit is no easy job. This creates delays in the check in process creating impatient (and rude customers). I will say they did handle the whining of people checking in with professionalism. Suggested solution - investigate peak period scheduling for front desk, specifically selecting staff with multiple languages

Friendly staff at check-in. Door man helpful and fast getting car checked and checked out for trip home. Clean room but a small. Ok for an overnight stay. Close to Times Square, theatres, and midtown sights. Music in elevators very loud.
The elevators speed very fast. Very comfortable beds. Very quite for most part except for outdoor noise which is unavoidable but not bad at all. Clean rooms. Great staff. The security is well above the norm, made us feel very safe. Locating is very convenient to all parts of the city. Loved the location. Rooms are small but we didn't come to sit in the room. There were two of us and we were comfortable wouldn't have wanted anymore than two in the room that we stayed in. For our first visit to NYC we had a fabulous time and enjoyed the hotel very much.. Lobby gets very crowded at times. Travelers using elevators for first time doesn't even consider that someone might be getting off the elevator and they crowd the door to the point you can't get off. No reflection on the Row but just be warned you can get run over before you get off the elevator.
Mattresses need to be replaced. Very noisy after midnite. Security was called. I don't know if they ever came as noise stayed loud for a long time. Also noisy early in the morning.
There isn't anything that I didn't like. The shuttle service back and forth to the airport was quick and comfortable. The room was extremely neat and clean, and the bed was very comfortable. The food was great, all of the staff, and especially Jasmine who helped me put together a special event, went above and beyond attending to all my needs and the needs of the guests that met me for dinner. The Sunday brunch was a wonderful change, and everyone there was very attentive. There aren't enough stars in the rating for this! Absolutely nothing.
Clean and spacious Had a big issue getting the shuttle from the airport. They left us there for 1.5 hours eventually took a 4 minute Uber. Management was totally unresponsive to the problem.

Shuttle service and breakfast. Other than that the rooms and facilities were pretty ordinary. There was no bottled water available in the room nor was it available in any of the vending machines parked at each floor. The hotel shop what presumably carried closed two hours before published time outside the shop. Finally I had to purchase expensive water from the hotel bar.

I liked that checkin was quick and painless and the room was spacious and clean. The room was pitch black and turning on the hall switch was dim. Had to use my phone to find the lamp switch.
Nothing I cancelled my hotel more than 48 hours in advance. After I cancelled it, I saw that they had a no cancellation policy. Since they would not refund my money, I asked them to reinstate my room. They refused to reinstate it and so I had to book accommodations at a different hotel. So basically they took my money and refused to give me a room.
The room is big and clean. Very confortay You can hear other peoples conversation. Unfortunately, we had to hear another couple in their intimacy whoch was very awful.
Our bar tender Front desk and management were rude and not helpful. Our room was not ready by our 630 pm arrival and we were told to wait. After no room by 7 pm an argument ensued with no kindness. After several requested to speak to management....no one came to speak with us to learn of our concerns. Aside from a very kind and competent bartender the stay was not pleasant.

My wife has a convention here once a year in January so I tag along. We had a stunning view of Broadway and Times Square from our corner room on the 45th floor (out of 46). Room was clean. Service is friendly and courteous. Bell Captain kept our bags for us after checkout so we could do a bit of sight-seeing until we had to go to the airport. When it was time to get our bags, he walked them down to the taxi stand for us and made sure we had a cab. Wi-fi seemed a bit slow.
Location Paid $275 for after show party in the restaurant All they had was 4-5 items of Chinese food and open bar. No menus for food nor drinks. Grumpy wait staff.
It was in a perfect location in Times Square. A few blocks from the subway. Lots of restaurants and shops nearby. Needs some updating/maintenance. For the price you pay for location, seems they could upkeep better. All 3 drawers in our dresser didn't close properly, off track or something. Bathrooms could use some new caulk, gappy and dirty looking.
Great hotel if you're a tourist and want to be in Times Square - easy walking distance to many attractions and not too far can / uber ride to others. The rooms were nice and clean, the maids always bought us new soaps, razors, toothpaste, towels etc. some of the staff are seriously awful. My partner has a severe allergy to nuts, and we had issues with two waiters there who seemed preoccupied and had to ask a manager to go and confirm if there was nuts in a dish she wanted for dinner or not. The waiter made us feel awful and then progressively got ruder (getting in our faces, yelling, etc) after the manager had been involved. We did get given a few free drinks and a box of chocolates from management (although she couldn't have the chocolates due to nuts) But otherwise we had a lovely stay, only ruined by a few staff members who need to learn if you work in a service job it's part of your job to at least TRY and be polite and understanding!
Great accommodating staff. Helpful concierge. So close to Times Square & all the theaters, so perfect for the 1st time visitor. Clean & comfortable. Beds are nice & cozy. Pool is part of the gym inside the building, so it's only a lap pool. Not for lounging & definitely not for kids. There is a sauna which would be nice in the winter. Very busy hotel! Not a relaxing lobby or even many places to sit (only 4 chairs & some makeshift areas around the plants)! No mini fridge in room.
Location of the Crowne Plaza Times Square was perfect and centrally located. The Concierge, Corinne, was amazing. She gave great tips, directions, and was so personable and friendly. Our room was awesome, with a great view. The exercise facility was great, many areas to work out in and a large variety of equipment. All staff was very friendly and helpful. We had a great time.

The room was very clean, the bed very comfortable and the pillows are the best. We laid in bed and were sleeping within minutes. One of the 3 shuttle drivers, Darren. He was extremely rude, not only to us, but to a foreign student and others as well. He went as far as not opening the shuttle door for a kid until he, the driver, was ready. We sat in the shuttle dumb founded by his actions. We were not able to report this because we were running late. I hope he does not work there for long, he will cost this wonderful hotel many customers. He should NOT be in a customer service position.

We used it for our last night in New York and wanted a location close to JFK airport, with a reasonable rate and with complimentary shuttle service. It certainly achieved a tick for all three. Breakfast (hot) was also included. The room was clean and because our daughter was not yet 18 years old, she stayed with us for free. For what we wanted, we have no complaints. However, one downside was that there did not seem to be any takeaway food establishments within walking distance. The hotel got around that problem by having copies of menus from nearby food outlets. I think all advertised free delivery.
The AC wasn't strong enough to cool down the room. The shower drain was flooded so when taking a shower it wound not drain down it would continue to get clogged
Nothing Beginning with the shuttle bus, the lobby and our room. All was in dire need of upgrading. Everything I mentioned smelled was old and needs to be refurbished. by far this was our worst experience with Hampton Inns and we've stayed at them all over the country. Management's attitude also needs an adjustment
A very comfortable and clean hotel close to JFK
It was a short distance from the airport. The fact that your hotel does not hav a restaurant is not in your favour. We had to wait one hour for the ordered food to arrive.
The Hampton Inn JFK was a great place to get some rest when you have to layover for a flight. The shuttle was a quick ride and the drivers where very friendly. Would definitely recommend this Hotel and I will stay here again next time I have a JFK layover!
I found the rooms clean with comfortable beds, and furniture attractive and in good condition. I found the rooms were quiet. I was concerned noise would be an issue since I was adjacent to the exit door and across from the breakfast room. I did hear the door close and open but the sound was fairly unintrusive. Some confusion re: the room cost. This might have been a KAYAK issue, but it was fairly easily remedied, and the person at the desk was apologetic and professional. Parking could have been difficult (I was VERY lucky to get a spot right outside the front door), but that is to be expected in NYC. If I hadn't gotten the spot, I would have been charged an extra $25 (per day? per stay?), a fee I was unprepared for.
The hotel is close to metro,only 2 mins walk and another 5min to Manhattan. 95% people lives around the Hotel are black, feel somehow unsafe.
Hotel was very nice in general. Staff very friendly, hotel room clean. Atmosphere was relaxing, it felt good going back after a busy full on day in the city. Breakfast was not so good. Limited options and service could have been better., i.e.making sure area tidy at all times.

Generally it was a comfortable at the hotel. It was very easy to reach to downtown, by kust walking a few minutes to metro station and withing a couple of stop we were at downtown. Bed was comfortable, room was clean. Breakfast was not so good but satisfactory. We left our luggages to hotel's storage for a couple of hours in the day we checked out since we can't use the room for that purpose but we had to pay 1 $ per luggage which is unusual in many hotels.

Free Shuttle Rides to local areas and substations. Extremely friendly staff. Very Accommodating. There was a little construction going on locally but hotel fully accomidated any and all needs. The club on the roof top during the weekend was a little unexpected went until 3/4 if you are trying to sleep at a decent time this place isn't recommended for the weekend.
The staff were great, the area was perfect, and the walk from the train, and to restaurants was not bad at all- there's a free hourly shuttle too but we preferred walking. The price was very reasonable. There was some construction going on, but it wasn't that noticeable and the club and traffic is audible- that may bother light sleepers...
The location to get to downtown Manhattan was great. You can take the tunnel or the bridge and get there relatively quickly. When I asked for the car service, the car was on time and the driver very courteous (I used them every day for a week). The Rooftop view of the Manhattan skyline is terrific. I felt the hotel was very secure and safe. Did not like my room. I stayed in 106 which is on first floor right outside the elevator and main hall (room 105 is also located there). They have recently added a second door inside the room to help keep down the outside noise but it did little good between 5am and 9am each morning. The hotel has obviously had complaints about the noise or they would not have added the interior door with a sign as to why the door was there (noise). The elevator doors were constantly opening/closing and the cleaning staff were busy getting their carts to each of the other floors to begin maid services. Not to mention the numerous people coming down to get to breakfast and the chatter. The room itself was dirty and was in desperate need of a paint job. I realize they saved the top renting units for the top buyers but for what I did pay (which was not cheap) I was greatly disappointed. As I stated in the pro's of the hotel, the rooftop view was incredible, but they have little to no seating to enjoy the skyline unless you want to sit in the covered restaurant, which greatly obscures the views. They had closed off the very top seating area on top of the restaurant the second night I was there. When I asked the hostess why, she had no reason to give and eventually allowed me to sneak up there to enjoy the night views and relax but made sure to close off the stairway access behind me so that no one else would go up there.
Good location The hotel was run down requiring millions in renovations. The rooms were unsanitary in every respect. The furniture was terribly stained with cigarette burns all over the couch and chair. The desk was badly damaged. Lamp shades were stained and walls scraped all over with black scuff marks all over the white walls. I had to check out. They wouldn't refund my money but I had no choice.
The best thing about the Ravel is it's proximity to mid town. A free shuttle or 10 minute walk to the nearest subway and you are two stops away from the heart of the city. For half the price of a comparable room in Manhattan you get almost the exact same convenience. Long Island City is still very much an industrial area. The walk to the subway is past many warehouses and the area is kind of trashed. Fortunately all the streets stay pretty lit up but there is litter all over and you have to switch street sides because of construction.
The only positive aspect of the hotel was that the wedding we were attending was at The Foundry. The other positive aspect was the girl that helped with my luggage. She was very courteous and helpful. The hotel was under construction and there were no clear signs indicating where to park or where to enter for the main lobby. I drove around the hotel 4 times until I finally called them to get information. You had to find your own parking on the street since there was no valet when I arrived at 4:30 PM. I actually had to call the hotel to inquire about the check in process and the location and called the front desk for the gentleman to come out and get some of my bags.When we went up to the room, there were flies and my husband actually killed about 10 of them. He called the front desk requesting a fly swatter and received no help. We also came back from the wedding and checked out that evening without staying overnight. The bar in the hotel became a nightclub and was very noisy and crowded. We also smelled marijuana in the stairwell of our floorl. It was a very disappointing stay and we will not be paying for our stay there and have requested a refund. Until they finish the construction, they should offer severely reduced rates. I definitely do not recommend this hotel. Stay in Manhattan over the bridge. Might be more reliable.

A hotel known for its view put me on the ground floor across from the elevator where I could hear everything. Bathroom had a roach and was filthy. Manager only offered to have someone in and clean. Overpriced for an experience I could have had at a Motel 6.
Spacious rooms compared to Manhattan hotels Some of the clientele were just trashy. There was a couple making out in the lobby right when you walked in at night granted the hotel does have a rooftop lounge that the locals treat as trashy Queens club, but it was a Sunday night, and the lounge was closed so you can't blame it on the alcohol. Room designer seemed to be obsessed with positioning fixtures in the upper right hand corner, which is ok I guess with certain things but not lighting fixtures. And last time I checked an electrical outlet should be by the sink, not above the toilet bowl, unless they consider there guests really hardcore multi-taskers that can shave and blow dry whilst...well you know
The rooms are spacious and beautiful, very clean and up to date. The feel of the hotel overall is very trendy and modern. I would come again any time hands down Because of the intense cold (and not so great insulation) the hall way and restaurant on the first floor were on the chilly side. I know it's petty stuff, but I just thought that being indoors would allow me to walk around without a jacket or sweater, and though I did, I regretted it right away because I was cold.
If you are on duty for business in Manhattan and it is the firm who pays for fancy but tiny hotel room for you downtown then after the meeting ends you realize that it's not worth the money if you want to extend your stay for a couple of days more on your own budget, this one is the perfect match! You'll get nice view of the city , easy access to public transportations , shuttle service oh..and the rooms are huge and classy with less pay! The rooms, NYC view from the rooftop restaurant, and the restaurant itself, staff are super nice, no-rip-off private car service to JFK.
I liked the view of Manhattan from my bedroom, the location, and free shuttle into the city. While the hotel clearly caters to tourists, there is room for a business traveller who is somewhat flexible with her or his time. The hallways outside of the rooms can be fairly noisy and loud.
We chose this hotel for the view, but actually the hotel offers many others advantages, shuttle bus super efficient, bikes, good breakfast, amazing rooftop with bar/club. In the room you can find everything you could Need. We couldn't control the heater, whichapparently didn't work, I was cold the whole night.

Ended up leaving the hotel at 2:30 am the first night since we were unable to sleep due to extremely loud music from a roof party which ended at 4:00 am. We'll never return and we'll never recommend it. First time in my life that I had to leave a hotel.
The view is about the best thing the hotel offered. View from room was great, roof top view great, roof top open all night for smokers, howevee it was closed cuz of the weather, bed good, pillows good, For 280 a night it beats the prices in Manhattan. Shuttle was always overbooked, even when booked in advance they would need to make 2 trips because not all would fit, cleaning never replaced all towels after following leave dirty towels on floor, cleaning didnt replace tissue box after it was empty, the AC did not work, lucky hurricane joaquin was in the area so it dropped temps to the 50's, we had AC set at 65 it was blowing hot air so we had the windows open, food for the price was horrible, we ate at the restaurant 1 night, dinner for 2 with 2 drinks was 140, better off earing cheaper food by the 21st and lexington subway station in long island or venturing out to manhattan where food may well be pricier but will be better.
The decor of the rooms was quite interesting. The bathroom shower did not really have a door and the door to the bathroom is a massive glass slab that moves backwards and forwards, very modern in design. Water was nice and hot, a/c worked wonderfully and I loved that they had a free shuttle to take you to Manhattan every hour! The complimentary breakfast each morning didn't have a large selection but it was still nice, brunch on the rooftop is a must! Great view of the city skyline as well. On our last night stay, house keeping never came although we requested housekeeping. Small mini fridge, you won't really be able to put anything in it, not only is it filled with mini bar items, it's about two inches deep before you hit the back of it so don't count on storing leftovers!
Great breakfast buffet for great cost. Exceptional bed and pillows . Outstanding view rooftop (when you can get past the loud obnoxious party at night) No pool, party on rooftop goes on too late (4 am) so others can't enjoy the view.

Obviously prettymuch the only reason to come here are the views of Manhattan, which are pretty spectacular, especially at night. I've heard the roof deck is pretty awesome when it's open. I don't know if it's possible for the staff to have cared less. Moody and weird and check in, didn't let us know about the included breakfast (had to go back down and ask and they never gave us th voucher we apparently needed). Like a bunch of teenage boys running the place. FYI this building basically doesn't have a back...like no real walls, so if that freaks you out... It also makes it incredibly cold and the thermostat in the room is just some kind of placebo effect trick as it does nothing. Everything, especially the bathroom, was a bit dingy. One of the worst values at a hotel for the money I paid.

Very clean, great location! I have stayed here a few times and always have a nice time there. The cleaning staff is so friendly. The food at the hotel is very expensive. I searched all over for an atm machine and couldn't find one. The lines for the elevator can be a bit long

Great location. Close to Times Square, Central Park, and Rockefeller Center. Large rooms for a New York hotel. Very professionally run and business like facility. High energy level with constant activity in the public areas. It isn't cheap but you can easily pay more for less value in NYC.
It was close to all the places we wanted to see. Walk to Times Square, subway nearby, etc.. Lots of restaurants all around. We had a corner room so view in 2 directions! Nothing
Clean room with a comfortable bed. The hotel is very centrally located with many attractions close by. Staff was very efficient and friendly. The walls are paper thin and we had very loud neighbors. We could hear everything going on in the room next door. Unfortunately the neighbors were very inconsiderate and we had to call down to security to ask them to be quiet.
Nice sized room for NY. Updated and modern. Heat was stuck on high and it was super hot. Luckily the windows work and we could get a cold breeze. Pillows were fluffy and flat at the same time.

Location was perfect . Check in and check out is very easy and staff was very friendly . We request for double bed and sofa we paid more to get room like that but sofa was too old to sleep on and they bring us roller bed but matteres was very uncomfortable that u can feel all the metal under the sheet.

People at front desk were nice The customer service at the view lounge was terrible. The lady that served us did not believe that we enter staying at the hotel and Saud very loud that the room number that we gave her did not exist and I showed her my key. She was very rude we felt embarrased.

The is the one of the best locations in the theater district. Most of the major theaters are located within three blocks of the hotel. The same day ticket office is located yards away from the hotel so you can get up early to get your ticket and then return to your room. The hotel entrance is right off times square. The hotel is clean large and and the staff is very friendly and efficient. Many family oriented dining establishments are nearby as well as easy access to the subway and various tour operators. The hotel is large and is used as a convention facility. So if you do not like large crowds and being in the location that is busy and very active during the evening hours, this is not the place for you.
Our stay was fine. The staff was friendly, the room was clean. As one would expect for $400/night. The ticket counter for local shows was very helpful/convenient. automated elevator system crammed too many people into each trip testing the fire alarm system each day that we stayed very uncomfortable sofa bed mattress (felt every spring)

Great location and some great views. They apperently give every person in the hotel access to the executive lounge. I'm used to a crowd at times but this was crazy. They need to either expand the lounge or enforce the entry policy.

My stay in your homely hotel was most enjoyable. The staff were extremely helpful with heavy luggage. As I was booked on a 3 day bus tour, and then returning to the hotel on the completion, the staff were happy to store my excess luggage until my return.Much appreciated. The customer service was excellent, the trainee lady at the desk when I arrived at the hotel on 21st Nov 2010 at 8pm welcomed me with a warm and professional manner very helpful towards all my needs. Especially being a foreigner to the country, Excellent service. The bathroom was too small and it was difficult to get in to the bath without shutting the door.

The bed was huge and everything appeared to be spotless. All the staff members were very professional. This isn't really the hotel's fault, but the shuttle was MIA. Make sure to call from the airport when looking for transport. This was a pretty bad time for the weather so it may not be a problem normally.

The pool and spa area was old, but served its purpose. Great breakfast dining area, but the buffet area was so packed in the morning, I couldn't squeeze in just to grab a scone. Super loud. They put our family of 3 (with a 3 yr old) directly across the hall from some sort of male adult gathering. Doors closing/slamming all night. Someone knocked on our door in the middle of the night and woke me up. Way too much activity - the staff never should have put us on the same floor and in the same vicinity as the group on our end of the hall.

the hotel is 7 min. walk from the subway, and about 40 min. from Manhattan. with a price of $150 per night it's not bad comparing to $300 for similar hotel in Midtown.for travelers who need a place to put their head at the end of the day, I would recommend it. it's not exactly the area you want to hang out by night. It seem not quite safe, but nothing to do except eating Pizza or Chinese food...

We came for the birth of my first grandchild.the hotel is very modern and sleek. Our room was large and well appointed with all of the modern technological conveniences. The mattress was very comfortable with high thread count linens. The bathroom was large and had more bath accessories than I have ever seen. I.e. Cuff links, tooth brush, paste, etc. I loved the large soaking tub. We never heard any outside noise even though this hotel is located in Times Square From the front desk to the doorman, the service was incredible. Leilani, one of the managers even gave us a gift for the new baby. I would highly recommend this hotel!
2 queen beds made this hotel perfect for our family of four. Located right on Times Square, the hotel held our bags after checkout while we went across the street to see a Broadway show.

The Knockerbocker was a very nice hotel with a great location. My only complaint was the day that we left, we stored our bags for a few hours. When we came back to pick them up, it took 20 minutes or so to get them. I had to catch a flight. The front desk was unapologetic about it. They just stood at the desk, while customers waited and were dissatisfied. They need to make sure they are staffed properly at a busy time, and if not, other staff should pitch in. It should be a group effort, because it makes the hotel better as a whole.
The renovation last year really upgraded this NYC classic. Now the interiors are just as lux as the classic facade. Great location in Times Square but quiet and tranquil retreat inside. Great service and really friendly staff. We enjoyed our girls weekend immensely. Avoid if you don't like fighting through crowds at Times Square.

Once you get past the unprepossessing lobby, the hotel is really excellent. We were upgraded to a junior suite, which was large, comfortable and well-appointed. It was bitterly cold so we ate in the hotel, choosing the bar's little plate menu over the Vlentine's Day special menu; each choice was delicious. Large, contemporary bar and restaurant (maybe showing a little wear on the cushions) and excellent service. Location, right on the corner of Times Square, can't be beat if you want to be in the middle of it all. Not cheap, but we weren't on a penny pinching trip. Worth every penny. Special mention to the concierge for fulfilling a couple special requests. As noted, the lobby is decidedly underwhelming although the staff was friendly and helpful. Otherwise, no complaints!

From the moment you walk in you are greeted with friendly staff, fresh scent, and beautiful decor. The complimentary breakfast each morning was delicious. A variety of food accommodated every type of eater. From the house keeping staff to the front desk personnel, to the location and service it was an overall amazing experience! Mena made the stay even more pleasant with his hospitality and care for the each guest; his attention to detail and attentiveness makes my hotel decision for my next visit to NY an easy one.
I liked the staff,Tiffany especially who was very kind and helpfull. I liked the shower which was very big and the cleaness. I did not like the noise from the rooms on my floor. People were having parties and it was hard to fall asleep. Also the elevator is very long to wait for. The neigbourhood is not really safe to hang out alone at night.
The facility was nice and what I expected for the brand. Ned was comfortable. By design, easy hotel to stay at. Updated as well. The staff was not prepared for me and did not entertain my suggested room that I put in for via email. When I asked them why it was not available or why the process didn't work they had not answers for me. They also seemed confused when I was sent a sms confirmation of my room preference and checkin time. Basically, he didn't know that existed for the customers. As a Rewards member, I knew more than him, unfortunately. In that respect I can not recommend this place to the frequent traveler.
