The hotel was stylish yet comfortable. The staff were excellent the hotel restaurant was expensive ( 6 EUR for a coffee)
Lovely architecture and excellent service The rooms were a little small for a 5star hotel and did not have dvd players or bathroom scales and the menu in the restaurant was very limited and did not change during the 7 nights we stayed there.
A beautiful building built in a cream coloured stone, the interior is all cream, white or oatmeal. Soft lighting everywhere. Really comfortable bedrooms. The hotel is not yet finished - apparently it is due to be completed for next season, i.e. spring 2011. It has only one restaurant and it is the same menu for lunch and dinner which is expensive. Service is not yet at the 5 star level.
It was very kid friendly with an on staff helper to keep kids busy. Great pool...huge! And the kids loved it because of the slow slopping grade to the bottom like a beach, so even the ones that didn't swim had a huge area for water fun. Helpful staff, great food, bar near the pool...buffet lunch everyday...big spacious beautiful rooms all with huge verandas.
wonderful setting and swimming pool, beautiful rooms. Some staff members really got out of their way to please us. They have let us keep the room through the afternoon with no surcharge. they probably need more staff. Nobody there to help us with lugguage at arrival or attending the pool bar. No pool towels. Room service charged at 18 Euros even just for a coffee!
Extremely helpful staff and a stunning hotel. Excellent food.
beautiful swimming pool and pool area, quiet and relaxing atmosphere, not overcrowded with people (eventhough we were there during the month of August when all the Italy is overcrowded) beaches are closeby (10 min by hotel shuttle) but those are not very nice. Public ones are so crowded you can hardly move there and the only private one (with a very nice Greek taverna) unfortunatelly doesn´t have a proper entrance to the see, there are stones and you have to climb the stairs to swim in the sea.
Very relaxing, nice people, beautiful surroundings Really no complaints.
Relaxation, food and drink. Atmospheric.
We loved the landscaping with aromatic plants, the quiet, the charm, and the design of the rooms and the pool. Probably the most beautiful place we've ever stayed. Like a dream.
Relaxed atmosphere/pleasant staff/superb location Difficult to find on arrival/one of the restaurant staff was surly
The hotel is beautifully designed and presented. Even though we went with two small children it was wonderfully relaxing and we were made very welcome. Its charm is no doubt due to the fact that it is family run and owned hotel. One felt that personal touch throughout, Wonderful food, service and facilities. Although not situated on the most beautiful part of the Adriatic coast, this was, nevertheless, a highly recommendable experience which we hope to repeat
the views were awesome the breakfast was bad . not much selection
very close to ZooSafari and amusement park, the location is good even for the visit of the many attractions within 20kms. Relaxing atmosphere in the lovely garden with 3 pools. very friendly and helpfull staff! our 4 beds-room was smaller than a triple of our friends travelling with us, would be better to fit 4 beds in the larger rooms... breakfast too poor!
The hotel is very close to the park. This is a great advantage if you need to make it early to the park because, after the early hours of the morning the park gets really crowded. The personnel waiting the breakfast tables did not know any English. This caused a problem. Part of the breakfast served to the Italian customers was not served to us because we did not know how to ask for it in Italian. They had only one English TV channel. All the rest were Italian channels. We had booked a double room but, with the extra bed for the kids, the room got pretty small.
The view was beautiful, it is as close to the Zoosafari as it can get and parking was convenient. I personally didn't like the buffet at the hotel restaurant, but the pasta was delicious as well as the fruit.
the hotel itself is amazing. Really special without being the sightest bit stuffy. The food. It was too expensive. Great food in italy is not expensive. We were eating 5 and 6 euro pastas for dinner that were fabulous and then to arrive at the masseria where pasta was 30 euro seemed a masive jump. The food was very nice but also quite formal and fancy. After the amazing breakfast they serve and the great beach club lunch on offer you don;t need a big 3 course meal every night for dinner. I think they should have soem more casual options for dinner. Not just about price, sometimes I felt like a simple italian meal.. that is what italian food is about, simple ingredients in season. the food was a little complictaed and overpriced for every night.
The hotel move four times de room (1; 34; 33 and 24)
The hotel was luxurious in an extremely comfortable way. On all occasions the staff was absolutely fabulous.
Beautiful surroundings, good food and service
The beach and pool facilities are wonderful, and even at the height of the season we had no trouble getting a good location for umbrella and chairs. The outside restaurant was quite good for a la carte items. The price was quite high for the 2 days, but I would expect it's better priced for people who stay a whole week. The dining room food was just adequate. It's geared to families more than to gourmands.
italian ambiance / no too European strangers / Excellent cooking
Nothing The a/c had been switched off due to the season .................it was very hot and so therefore uncomfortable. We had no hot water so could not wash properly and we were given a room overlooking the carpark when clearly the hotel was not full. We were given a sea view after asking but by that time we had experienced the breakfast and decided to check out. Not a very good experience all round!!
