Very clean and quiet Nice location Paying $14 to self park in a free garage
Had to cancel due to hurricane. They charged us for one night and wouldn't budge on the policy! Unwilling to negotiate or work with us on policy due to hurricane.
New facility, nice rooms, cafes, views Need a more professional greeting staff at front desk. Was nice but different.
The room was well-appointed and bed was very comfortable. It took me getting angry with hotel management to get basic necessities replenished including soap, shampoo, tea, and towels. My husband actually had to dry off with a hand towel at one point. And in an attempt to rectify the situation managemebt delivered a martini tray, including a full-sized bottle of vodka, at 9:30pm on the Sunday night before our checkout. As I'm not a raging alcoholic and was originally requesting things like camomile tea, this gesture struck me as odd and misplaced. There were other little things which occurred throughout our stay, and individually these things would have been negligible. It was the combination, however, which made for an overall negative & frankly unpleasant experience. At a $300 price point, providing the basics is an absolute necessity, but going above and beyond the basics is an expectation. I very rightfully held this hotel to a standard higher than the average budget motel and not only did they not deliver, they fell far below.
Pool area Gym was small for such a lux hotel
Beautiful clean and great location overall it was a great stay but there was one minor thing that left a negative impact The airconditioner had some issue it was very loud all night. It was very hard to sleep as the air would roar every 30 seconds there was obviously some mechanical issue as an interior architect I know this is not normal. We woke up every hour thoughtout the night making our stay a horrible experience. Beside this it was a great stay.
BEACH AND OCEAN ACCESS.
Location is fantastic, beach is fabulous. Property looks "tired". An upgrade would make it 5 star.
Nice view, clean rooms Staff was a little difficult and bathrooms doors do not provide much privacy.
The view was spectacular. I will recommend this Resort!! Everything was lovely!! Nice people, service was great.
The room was acceptable as were the amenities offered. And staff was generally very friendly and helpful. However, I was not made aware that a mandatory resort fee was also going to be tacked on to the hotel charges. This added up to another $100.00...not insignificant when considering hotel options based in part on price. Add to this the fact that no mention was made in the offering on Kayak, or by the hotel upon our arrival that the entire beach in front of the hotel was a construction zone. The fact that this construction was being done on the Martin Luther King holiday weekend, was offensive enough, but then to be told that we would have to drive or walk to get onto the beach was too much. We paid a premium for a facility on the beach, yet could have settled for less expensive options at hotels "not on the beach".
Liked the location. Decor. Pool area. Drinks at the bar were not very good. Bedding was not comfortable.
Came for business. Had breakfast. took time to rest at beach no. perfect experience.
The atmosphere was very good and the breakfast and poolside dining was good. Yes that there is no way to get into the ocean due to the errosion and the large amount of rocks inbetween the small beach and the ocaen.
Great staff! Mattress and hypoallergenic pillows very hard. By the third night my hips were bruised and sore. Will not stay at this hotel again because of the bed.
Totally enjoyed our overnight stay. Beautiful clean room and nice pool. Only downside was suffering through Fox News channel while eating a lovely breakfast :) Breakfast was mostly carbs. Need some more fruit selections.
Good location Internet did not work loacstipn
Hotel was nice. Staff was friendly after we checked in... We came in for a engagement party. My sister, the mother of the groom to be, booked and paid for the room. When we went to check in they said they needed her credit card and ID in person. First off why didn't anyone or the website say that the card holder needed to be there. Second off if this was a business trip and I didn't have the company credit card, would I not be allowed to stay? My sister had to leave her sons engagement party and drive to the hotel. 30mins each way. While we could not check in and get ready till she arrived.... This was super inconveniencing, and very unaccommodating. I would have used my own bank debt or credit cards if I didn't just have a security breach with my accounts. I felt really bad for my sister and the hotel was super unreasonable to work with any solution I tried to come up with.
Everything was easy. From booking at the last minute to the easy of checking in late to late check out. Room was clean and ready. Caffee was on late.would use them and Kayak again.
The breakfast was quite good, a nice start to the day, I would stay here again in spite of the maintenance difficulties, Our taps were leaking and we had to have maintenance come in twice but eventually the problem was solved. The carpet was soaked for days and at one point we had to bail 5 baskets of water out of the sink before it drained,
Staff was great. I booked a double double room on kayak and the photos showed a suite of the room I though I was booking.....very misleading! When we got here we were given a single double for two men. Then I was over charged for the first night. You need to be honest.
The beds were so hard my wife and I couldn't get any rest. With what sleep wedid get, we woke up with neck and back pain. We loved the spa, it sure helped with our pains. I would stay there again IF they change the mattresses; and there were no refrigerators; terrible when you wish to cool your drinks. I am 55 years old and my wife is 44.
Location. Near the wedding I was attending The roach in my room!!!!!!!!
Paul and Shanicka were helpful and very friendly N/a
Staff was friendly and room was clean but the facilities are not well maintained The entrance, hallways and elevator wreaked of old stale cigarette smoke smell. It was so strong it made me physically nauseous. We also had to park next to a truck with people living out of it in the parking lot. Lastly, noticed when walking by one night that the pool was filled with teenagers at 10pm. It didn't disturb us in our room but thought it was odd.
Lovely room, very comfortable and clean. Staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful.
Clean, comfortable, Starbucks right outside the building. The ad was not clear that the room was only a single double bed. The hotel was kind enough (and had the space) to fix that problem at the same price, but the ad should be more clear.
Friendly staff Smelly bathroom
Friendly staff, pets welcome, large clean room, great breakfast included
When we arrived we had been upgraded. Very nice surprise. No
Nice and clean, but the bathtub and sink would not drain
I got a fantastic rate and enjoyed a clean beautiful room for my husband and son. Breakfast was delicious and there was always fresh fruit available in the gym and lobby. Computer and printer was fast and free and the hot tub was huge! My only complaints were that you should have been able to hook up hdmi to the back of the tv and that the beds were small.
no free wireless internet access in hotel rooms! I had less expensive hotels that had free access! and two internet computers in the business center were definitely not enough!
Room was very nice. Hotel staff was the best. Reasonable location for the area. Not really a resort kind of place but if you are visiting family in the area it's ideal. Room was very clean and nothing particularly worn that I saw. Right off the highway but we didn't hear any road noise. TV a bit dated. 2 beds + a sitting chair was kind of tight.
This was the worst Marriott propert for the money that I've ever stayed. This was absolutely the worst Value for the Miney
Beautiful room, great area
Room not as paid for, needed to change second night, staff very apologetic
We checked in on Friday for a 3 night stay for a visit with nearby family. Even though we were on the 7 th floor, the noise from a very busy night club on the ground floor of the building kept us up until 3 am every evening. The night club had valet parking set up near the entrance to the hotel which blocked parking for the guests and left no spaces to park. We will book in another hotel the next time we visit.
Close to family and dining
The staff was very accommodating, and the room was well equipped with comfortable beds and soft pillows. The grounds were well manicured with a very nice pool area. The buffet breakfast was excellent with a huge variety of choices including a chef to make omlelets to order. I would definitely come back again. My only complaint was that while the carpet in my room was spotless and looked clean, my grandson's knees turned brown after crawling on the floor for just a few minutes.
complimentary breakfast could be with more choice
restaurant staff in the morning..... dirty windows on the 6th floor - couldn't see the view or take picture
Did not offer continental breakfast not even a cup of coffee
Closeness to FAU campus.
I get very annoyed when people rate a business poorly based on services or products they plainly advertise that they DON'T have. Don't rate this a poor hotel because they don't have an indoor pool, or no free breakfast. They never said they did fool. To me this was an exceptional hotel. Clean, updated and the rooms very incredibly comfortable and well furnished. Their Wifi was excellent and the staff was very gracious. The lobby had terrific seating and amenities for the business person looking to relax and do a little work. I wish there were more options for food and drinks. A very nice bar that served light cafe style foods and beer, but the menu wasn't very extensive.
We were upgraded to a suite that was amazing. We had two toilets, a huge walk in shower and a separate tub. Thanks Hampton! Nothing
Efficient and clean
Ease to book
Free wireless internet available in guest rooms; coffee filter machine, with coffee available in guest room, free breakfast. Front door locked after midnight, room key did not work; had to return to front desk to have key card reprogrammed.
There is a sign prominently displayed at the front desk which states that if you're not satisfied with your stay, you don't pay. Well, I complained about the horrible mattress and other less than adequate features of our room. I received no discount or free stay. Nothing.
We especially liked the cleanness of the room and the whole property. Some of the staff - for example the breakfast-lady - were lovely and wonderful, others at the reception did not smile at all or even made us feel bad with the two little kids we have.
The personnel -- especially Courtney were exceptional at customer service and attentiveness. Courtney stood out because she remembered me by name and the reason for my stay, and went out of her way to make the stay pleasant. Plus, a really nice touch to have a varied choice for breakfast and late afternoon snacks and cookies. Just make things more pleasant. Not that I didn't like, but adding hot chocolate along with the coffee and teas and juices would be a nice "touch."
There was plenty to do all day. The variety of venues meant we never had to leave the grounds. The $25.00 per day facility fee in addition to the room rate reminded me of the way airlines try to hide how much you're paying for your ticket. Just raise the room rate $25.00. Also, make sure guests know the tip is already included. We were not made aware of this until our second day there.
tennis courts cafe was great for a quick healthy breakfast or snack mineral pools at the spa Ana at the front desk:) She gave 5 star service friendly staff Antonetta the concierge was outstanding Beds were comfy Not having an adults only pool area coffee was the worst I've ever had in a hotel
Comfortable Beds and The pool, Gym, and bar area. Ironwood -restaurant on-site- food was awful. We both had fish and it was not good. Also, very expensive for bad food.
Looked nice outside. Sold out when arrived. Had to beg for a room. Room was a dump.
We had an awesome corner room with a balcony that normally costs $500.00 a night. We paid only $150.00! A Hotel employee knocked on the door @ 10AM asking what time we planned to leave.Checkout time was noon.
the property itself is great - nice pool, golf facilities etc - very friendly staff - very nice location and well kept If you go, check to make sure they haven't reserved the golf facilities for some private event. (Not talking Honda Classic here) They like to charge you a resort fee on top of the the room rate but you may not be able to use them, because some private even they scheduled - they close it to guests
Nice location, cookies, nice staff Ants all over room and laying on my side of the bed was difficult since it's concave in the middle of the bed
The private balcony. The bed was comfortable. I felt like it could've been cleaner.
The staff was helpful, breakfast was good, room was comfortable, our stay was rather short but we feel absolutely satisfied with what we got for our money. There was initially a problem with overcharging against the booking.com prices, but that was resolved before we came, and later some 2 amounts were pre-authorized on my card account within the first couple hours of our stay at the hotel without explanation.
Rooms were clean and great hospitality I didn't like my truck getting broke into. We had to find a differnt hotel to stay at. I wont ever stay at this location agian.
the suites were very nice and the pool area was well maintained. There was always a pool atendant about bringing u fresh towels.
Fabulous location for all our needs.
The mattress was awesome. I will look for tempupedic mattresses in the future! The lobby was pretty except the staff was using 2x4 wood risers for their keyboards painted black. They were worn so paint was missing in places. It was a huge contrast to the lobby. Made me wonder "what else is behind the scenes"? The shower ceiling was so low that none of the steam escaped. Had to shower with the shower door open! Sink was also low -mid thigh. Poorly done remodel. Very musty smell in room. Boring decor in room.
The bedding was dirty and the front desk charged me two extra nights in error
Very nice big room, well furbished and modern. Awful location, close to the highway and a major crossroad. Level of noise in the room was quite high even well isolated.
They did not have a room for our family when we checked in at 9pm. Finally found a room but not the suite I paid for. Room had 1 king bed for my family of four (4)! A/C didn't work. Had to call maintenance (now 11pm and we're exhausted). Ants on the carpet when we woke up next morning. Checked out next morning eventhough I prepaid for 4 nights stay. The hotel is run-down and nothing at all like the photos on web. I will never stay at a doubletree hotel.
Stay 2 nights on business. Very pleased with hotel, breakfast, rate. My business was in Palm Beach Gardens. This hotel was just off the highway, just 8 minutes away. Very nice hotel, way cheaper than Palm Beach Gardens hotels.
Very friendly and helpful staff both the manager and the front desk. Shower did not work properly. However the manager personally made a temporary fix until maintenance was able to repair it.
The space was nice, as an all suites property, the room was a decent size for more than an overnight stay, Numerous maintenance issues were obvious and inconvenient. AC ran continuously without changing the temperature, and intake vent condensed water and dripped constantly into the living space in front of the changing area and bathroom. Several electrical outlets did not function making plugging any accessories in a real chore.
Breakfast Bathroom was filthy. Still waiting for the manager to contact me about the bathroom being nasty. this happen 8 days ago.
Staff was great. Pool area. Location. No Transportation to the mall or nearby shops
Overall the stay was relaxing staff very friendly and helpful I had a late checkout due to late flight departure. Beds very comfortable. Nice view lakeside room. Had a late airline departure notified front desk went for lunch returned room key didn't work staff cleared it up TV remote didn't work properly probably just needed batteries...
Convenience to events I was attending. The ability to walk to The Gardens Mall and the Downtown area is perfect. Lovely property, My fourth stay here.
Brand new everything. I love the area. This Hotel smells fresh, everything neat and clean, They did a great job on this place.
Everything Liked it all
Excellent location near beaches and on river. Older facility with plans for renovation. Friendly helpful staff. Excellent value because its off-season in South Florida. Would stay here again, but only May through October. Overall good rating for cleanliness but carpets need to be cleaned.
This hotel, did not have an ocean front balcony view. This hotel is noisy, you can hear everything from outside and next door. The staff was friedly.
Hotel was within 400 steps to the beach as advertised. Value for the money with location this close. Clean room and helpful staff. Other than construction going on my floor during the day and early evening on Thursday my experience was great. I would stay here again.
Have stayed here several times over the last few years. Last stay was a disapointment because the pool even though ready for use had not been open. Also there was a gas main problem in the area so we had no hot water for a couple days. But the location is great as it is only a block from the ocean and beach. Staff usually very helpful and pleasant. Looks like price as taken quite a jump so we may be looking elsewhere for future visits to the area.
Stayed for a long weekend... Hotel was full and were unable to fulfil my request for a king bed room. Very clean hotel. Nice, helpful staff. Pool was a good size. Just a short walk to the beach. Great location close to local bar, dining, liquor store, and CVS. Overall, had a great time!
good value for the money... close location to beach... ridiculously slow internet - reminded me of the dial up days... and while the complementary breakfast was a nice addition, they were out of orange juice during my entire stay (a week)...
It was more than we expected for our money. We will probably go back.
I travel to Palm Beach County frequently, and I highly recommend this hotel. It is a fantastic value for an ocean front property. The staff is very friendly, and the property has recently been upgraded.
I loved the hotel breakfast, they sent us off with snacks for the day. The staff was very friendly and made you feel at home. The location was excellent, everything in walking distance, the beach, dining and shopping. Had a great vacation. Linda and Keith
Sept 2nd-5th 2010 This hotel has rooms that has been completly upgraded I stayed in a part that wasn't but could not tell cause it was so nice. Some of the rooms have a view of the ocean the rooms were nice, clean & comfortable. The staff was very helpful & I would stay again..:}
I would recommend to others...very nice place! Staff was friendly and area is pretty
Really enjoy our stay here!! Rooms were clean, comfortable, perfect! White beds, granite counter tops in bathrooms, and tasteful decor made this stay just what we needed! Parking is convinient, pool is well maintained, and breakfast had several good choices, and all staff was friendly and courteous! A+ The hot tube was under construction, unfortunately, but the pool made up for it!
Good location Closer to a basic motel than other Hampton inns I have stayed at.
pOOL SMALL; FAR WALK TO BEACH, BREAKFAST TYPICAL FOR HOTEL CHAINS
We would have enjoyed a bar, especially since there was no (open) bar in the neighborhood.
Not impressed with the selection of breakfast items, very limited
The hotel is located within a lovely shopping plaza that offers a variety of dining options after a day at the beach and/or visiting nearby relatives. The cleanliness throughout the building was superb and the employees helpful and friendly. If you are looking for a place with a lovely pool area to relax and enjoy the sun this is not the place. We are beach people so this did not matter to us.
very good breakfast very good coffee and late evening meal m/t and clean I would like to have more outside patio chair and tables the garden area is beautiful to sit at day or night

I thought the breakfast was weak, for the money paid. But the staff are attentive and professional, friendly! The hotel is attractive, the beds are comfortable enough, the cleaners are very good. It does not have any kind of real gathering place. It's a true "Inn" and not a hotel.
There are cute touches every where. The staff was very nice. Muffin in the morning was great. Water front. Simple, clean, affordable, and just what I needed. nothing
The place was clean. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The location is great if you enjoy the inland waterway. Nearly all the rooms have a great view of the waterway and the pool. The grounds are well kept and the place was quiet. The pillows are bricks and the beds a quite firm (bring your own pillow). The free breakfast and coffee need some work.
** ** JUST A PLACE TO LAY YOUR HEAD** ** I KNOW ITS AN EXPENSIVE AREA. IT SHOULD HAVE COST ABOUT $40, DUSTY ROOM, LINEN STAINED WITH BURN HOLES IN THE BLANKET, TOILET DIDN'T WORK, BATH TUB RUSTED. A/C CAUSE BOTH PARTIES TO HAVE ALLERGY ISSUES. NON OF MY RELATIVE NOR ASSOCIATES WILL EVER USE. NEEDS AN UPDATE ASAP
The room is FILTHY. Went up to my room pillows were stained. I should have left then, but it was so late. Then I removed the sheets and found pubic hairs on the sheets. Based on what I can tell they have multiple layers of sheets on mattress so they do not have to replace them daily. The room is covered in dust. You can get a better glance when you are sitting in the room looking at the base boards. Palm Beach Gardens is a nice location. It's a shame this place is so dirty. Has a lot of potential! total lack of cleanliness, they only arranged the bed and not clean anything else in the room. they say they have free internet included in the price, and when you want to connect, you need a password, that they charge $ 8 dólars per day. The price and service relationship is disproportionate, the room is not worth more than 40 or 50 dollars a day, and they rate it 120 per day. Bad environment for a family, and a constante insecurity and vulnerability sensation. Awful experience.
clean rooms rooms smelling of smoke, double assignment of room
