The staff were absolutely amazing (I particularly dealt with Nieves and Carlos who could have not done anything more for me or been more pleasant). The room was beautiful and exceptionally clean. The facilities are great and excellent views on the terrace. The location is 2 minutes walk from the beach. Highly recommend staying at this hotel. It is also not too crowded and small in size.

Nice welcome from the receptionist. 402 is a Nice room overlooking the swimming pool with also a view on the sea. Room is spacious and very clean.

I don’t know if my neighbours were noisy or if the walls are super thin but I could hear the noise from discussions, TV or radio every morning. Too bad when you want to sleep after 7h30.

Short walk from train station(cheap,direct service from Malaga Airport),smart newly refurbished rooms,bar area and lovely pool. Drink prices compare favourably with local bars. Didn’t have breakfast so can’t comment.

I've stayed in the hotel before and really liked it. The rooms are really good and mine looked over the swimming pool. Breakfast was excellent. The staff were 100% helpful and extremely friendly. I would regard the room cost as being good value.

There was nothing that I didn't like. Anything that I come across in a hotel you will know about it!!

Lovely pool! Very comfy beds and wonderful breakfast with a huge choice of items! I was happy to see they have non-lactose milk and tortilla! Both Carlos and Javier at the reception are absolutely lovely, welcoming and very very helpful!

Great hotel with outstanding staff

Everything was fantastic. The food was great, the room clean, the pool nice and the beach near. What was really special though was the staff, the nicest and coolest people I've ever met at a hotel. Nieves and Carlos, I wish I could remember all the names, everyone we interacted with was so helpful and lovely.

We have stayed at El Tiburon many times, it is a beautiful boutique hotel, ideally situated very close to La Carihuela beach. The staff are very friendly and extremely helpful, the rooms are comfortable and spotlessly clean. The bathrooms are modern and the towels are wonderfully thick but soft, most hotels give you very thin towels which are not so good. Equally the beds, sheets and pillows are first class, so important for a good night’s rest. The swimming pool is delightful and with the adjoining jacuzzi make for a most relaxing stay.

Having to leave at the end of our visit, but we will return soon!

The hotel was much more than I expected. Hired a bike from the reception and it was delivered very punctually. All the staff were very pleasant and helpful. I would like to mention specially Carlos at the reception,super helpful and also the lady at the bar. I obviously don’t know her name but she always gave us a warm welcome every time we went into the hotel. I was also impressed that the bar/ cafeteria was open all night. Never experienced this before in an hotel.

Clean hotel, great staff

First of all, very nice staff. Everyone were super nice and helpful. We got the room with sea view, even though we have not booked one. The rooms are spacious, clean and have all you need. The bathroom might be too small to some, but for us it was enough. If you have a room at 4th floor, there is a lovely sun terrace too. Location is 2 minutes from the beach.

The staff are really friendly and very accommodating. Carlos on reception on the first day made us feel very welcome and nothing was any trouble, will definitely be back.

The hotel is amazing! Such a hidden gem in a cute location! I can’t fault the stunning facilities and the attentive staff. Especially Charlie and Nieves! Check out the private spa and the roof top at night.

This hotel is the best on the Costa del sol.ive never stayed at a hotel where the front of desk know your name as you walk past and say good morning carl. So personal they could not do enough for you.

The hotel is great! The staff is exceptionally nice - without a doubt, the best staff that we've had to deal with in hotels in Spain! We stayed only for the night, so I can't comment about other services, but the breakfast was also very good and had hot options which was not a common thing for us while staying in Spain.

From checking in at reception with Carlos. The beautiful room, comfortable bed and furnishings to the stylish pool and lovely outside space. Beach is round the corner.

Having a bath that held water would have been nice as the plug seemed not to seal tight (not sure if it is designed that way.)

Everything location, hotel layout, very friendly and helpful staff Nieves and Andres in the bar and the reception staff all 1st class this was our 2nd stay but not our last.

The location of the hotel was perfect, near enough to the front, close to the beach, shops, bars and restaurants but far enough away from any noise. Taxi's and local bus services located near by. Rooms nicely decorated, clean and tidy with the bonus of British TV channels. Good choice of sunbathing area's with comfortable sun lounges. Pool very clean with toilets and changing facilities at the pool side. Clean and tidy restaurant providing a good choice of food and drink options at breakfast. The hotel bar had a good atmosphere and served tasty snacks along with a wide range of cocktails, spirits. soft drinks, tea's and coffee's. Everything you could wish for. The staff were amazing very friendly and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble and their communication skills were first class in particular the Reception staff and management. I will definitely be returning to The EL Tiburon and recommending it to my friends and family.

I understood there to be tea and coffee making facilities provided in the rooms however, this was not the case. I love to be able to make my own cup of tea. I did check in the room facilities online before I came so didn't bring my own travel kettle.

My room was very small (I wouldn't want to have to share it), the wardrobe sliding door was broken, no full length mirror. The room was a little uninspiring - but first time I've ever had a virtual reality headset and I've stayed in a lot of hotels! Also nice balcony. I'd definitely be happy to stay again. Fabulous staff, great location, room was perfectly adequate plus no individual shampoos and soaps, yay. Breakfast a bit late for business visitors, but lovely staff served me excellent coffee at any time of the day.

Loved the boutique style, very bright, clean, comfortable beds. Andy and the young lady on reception when leaving gave excellent customer service.

Thought maybe when sat around the pool the music coming from the speakers could be dropped down to background music, found it not relaxing enough because of this.

This hotel has every thing you want in a holiday, from the morn we arrived to morning we left we were treated like royalty. The staff are 6 star quality from cleaner to reception, bar staff all unreal, this has been the best relaxing holiday we have had in past 17 years. One big thank you to all at El Tiburon, am back 4 days and we are both on a high that says it all. See you's all in 2020. Brian Siobhan

There was nothing we didn't like, it's an excellent hotel!

The hotel was located on a quiet street close to the beach. The staff were friendly and helpful----especially Javier and Carlos. The breakfast was very good and the wait staff were happy and smiling The pool and surrounding area were very clean. There is a spa that can be booked for private use. The massage I had was very good and a reasonable price.. Every room has a small balcony which is a nice touch. Would definitely return.

It is clear that all Hotel staff were carefully selected for there professionalism, service mindedness, and attractivness. Yolanda and Javier were particularly attentive and helpful with good recommendations on where to eat, shop, and in arranging spa activities. Even house keeping and breakfast attendants were friendly and helpful. Pool and rooftop sundeck were clean and well designed. My wife and I both enjoyed a relaxing massage at the spa which was also very well done and professional. Prices while not cheap were fair and reasonable. On the day of checkin our room had been cleaned early so were allowed to check in early and begin exploring the area. On day of checkout we were able to leave our bags at the hotel and then go and have lunch and enjoy a few more hours on the fantastic beach located a 2 minute walk away.

For this price and for the star level of hotel there is nothing negative worth mention. If I had to suggest area for improvement it might be that more attention could be given to the breakfast buffet. While the food and selection were very good in general, some things could be better. The cooked food could be kept warmer e.g. baked beans were a little cold and undercooked. The chocolate puffed rice cereal was a little stale and the fresh sliced peaches were either too firm and tasteless or a little mushy.

Everything! The property has a great location, it’s a brisk 15 minute walk to the beautiful Benalmádena marina as well being a street away from many local bars and restaurants, although the marina is well with the walk. All staff at the hotel are extremely friendly, from mangers to cleaning staff who always greeted us with a smile. The hotel and our room was spotless. The pool area was also clean and relaxing with plenty of sun throughout the day. Javier the manger was very helpfully and responsive even before I booked the hotel, he responded to emails quickly and was able to arrange transfers for me from Malaga airport. I would definitely stay at this hotel again and would recommend it to others thinking about staying.

Room and bathroom were clean, comfortable and well furnished. Breakfast was very good, with a range of local, traditional and healthy options. Staff were very friendly and eager to help if we had needed it.

Pool too small for awimming.

The hotel was immaculate from top to bottom,breakfast was beautifully presented and always with fresh food. The staff were superb from assistance from Javier with the booking process,also Yolanda and Carlos on reception and Nieves and the bar staff,cleaning staff very efficient.

My only small criticism was the very little English speaking channels on the television,perhaps this could be reviewed for the future.

Amazing! Excellent choice of hot food along with cold meats and cheeses. Fresh fruit, cereal, pastries and a huge and varied selection of breads. Absolutely everything you could ever want for your breakfast was available.

The shade on the roof terrace needs increasing/improving. elevator was slow.

Love everything about this hotel. 2nd time to stay and would return again.

Staff were brilliant from start to finish. Reception, bar and housekeeping are outstanding. Special mention to Carlos and the magnificent Nieves who talk to everyone and make them feel at home. Location is great for Carihuela but easy walk to Benal and Torremolinos.

I like the location close to the beach. Staff was very good at offering places to eat and see.

I scheduled a massage but wasn’t told that to use the sauna and hot tub I would have to schedule that as well. If I was told that then I could have done a package or paid for it all at the same time. The rooms didn’t have the view I expected it to have.

Nieves and Carlos and all the staff were all so helpful and couldn’t do enough for us, and made our anniversary break all the better. The hotel is lovely.

The staff were amazing, especially Carlos. We arrived at the hotel around 11:30, quite early and didnt expect to check in. Carlos went out of his way to get our room ready even ringing us to tell us that we could check in just after 12. This was my 3rd visit and still believe this is a real gem of a hotel, quiet, relaxing but near everything. They even have a new 4th floor sun terrace which has a great sea view and a phone to order drinks which are then brought up. Lovely touch. Checking out was made real easy by Javier who also rang a taxi for us.
