Pros: Location to paestum museum requires a car, but drive is easy. Property is a bit tricky to find, but Sergio, the proprietor was terrific.
Cons: Only wish more was in Immediate walking area.
Pros: Sergio, Gina and Danielle were like meeting old friends. Very informed about the area and very helpful in all aspects. Sergio was always available for any necessity and spoke English very well. Will definitely stay with them again, if in the area and available. Perfect!!!
Pros: Sergio is the perfect host. He greeted us with freshly made (by his mother) buffalo cheese and fresh fruit from his garden. Every day we had a splendid and varied breakfast. His family were very welcoming to us both.
Cons: Nothing This is
Pros: I had a wonderful stay. The room was spacious, nicely decorated, with airconditioning, and with a comfortable bed. Best breakfast I had in Italy! And the owner was so kind, he even took me by his car to Paestum.
Pros: All the benefits of being welcomed and looked after by a local family, while fully maintaining a sense of privacy and professionalism.
Cons: The shower pressure was quite low.
Pros: Owner Sergio runs this place to a standard that would not disgrace a multi-star hotel. The facilities were startlingly modern, clean and comprehensive. His B&B simply could not be better situated for the station, and local restaurants (I strongly recommend the Bistrot della Stazione run by salt-of-the-earth Pasquale), yet you will not hear a scrap of noise or see a chink of light to disturb your sleep. The breakfast was likewise wonderful. Sfogliatelle, nom nom nom...

Pros: The building is an old restored house, it was very beautiful. The bathroom installation is brand new, the room very clean, the breakfast with local fruits and cheese, the garden memorable, 3 minutes from the temples and museum of Paestum.
Cons: The access is confusing. It is like if you enter in another hotel. The poster indicating the hotel is small, easy to miss, and you are wandering if you are at the right place.
Pros: Lovely small boutique hotel within walking distance of the amazing ruins at Paestum — both well worth a stop. This is a newly renovated old property. Charming house. Helpful staff. Excellent breakfast that we were able to enjoy outside. The ruins are a must-see in late afternoon and early evening, and there are decent restaurant choices adjacent to the ruins.
Cons: We had a difficult time finding the property due to the way it is set back from the road and poor signage!
Pros: Amazing location, hotel facility and location is really nice. Breakfast is great and very generous with a great selection of Italian delicacies. They also looked after my partner with a lot of gluten free alternative options. The garden is well maintained and a nice place to relax in. The property is also very quiet.
Cons: The WiFi is quite weak and not working properly in our room.

Pros: Location was fantastic and gardens were well maintained... we had our dog with us and she was made to feel very welcome. The breakfast was lovely and included homemade kiwi juice and jam from the kiwis that had been collected.
Cons: The advice to go to Gin Gin to eat. There was no menu and we had no idea up front of the cost. This did not suit us. Whilst the staff were friendly and courteous I think this venue would be more suited to Gin lovers...
Pros: The B&B is very close to Paestum temple complex, very convenient. Very good breakfast provided, we loved the homemade panettone! The hotel is in quiet surroundings with gardens and fields around. There were home-grown kiwis at breakfast from the local garden! Very pleasant stay!
Pros: It's a really nice place to stay, with very friendly owners in a quiet neighbourhood and perfectly situated.
Pros: I liked the place very much. The place is unique - cosy, friendly and inspiring. The kiwi orchard and horses nearby. Helpful staff. Great location if you like being close to the touristic attraction but live in a quiet place. Free park site.
Pros: The staff was very friendly, we loved all the details like shampoo, shaving set, embroidered towels, special plates and cups, the mini bar. It was like we were in a hotel, but with all the charms of an B&B. Location is great, you can easily walk to the temples.
Cons: The shower wasn't very good. It took a long time to get hot water and the pressure was low. That last thing can be easily fixed with a new shower head.
Pros: Beautiful location, grounds and room. Lovely hostess, delicious breakfast, a real winner. Convenient to everything but tranquil and quiet.
Cons: Nothing to dislike
Pros: - The room was comfortable and nicely decorated, with a balcony where we could see the surroundings. - Unlike most places, the bathroom was large and nicely decorated as well. - The font yard was beautiful and a very pleasant place to spend some time with the family. - The breakfast was simply delicious, with homemade goodies and juices. - Staff and owner are very nice and attentive. - Not far from the archaeological park and museum of Paestum.

Pros: Beautiful home, very welcoming
Cons: Nothing would definitely recommend it and is so conveniently located near Temples!
Pros: Attractive older style hotel, with first rate staff, charming rooms, together with a good selection of homemade breakfast offerings, situated very close to the Historic archeological site. For those looking for a brief respite from archeological pursuits. The uncrowded sandy beaches are a 10-15min walk away or short drive. We have stayed in many hotels on our Italian tour and this rates as one of the very Best. Perfect.
Pros: Peaceful, lovely property. Large room. Wonderful staff. Easy walk to the ruins. Good breakfast. Good value.
Pros: Beautiful conversion, large rooms, attractive gardens, large breakfast, helpful staff. Very close to Paestum archaeological site
Pros: Really nice House with a beautiful garden and a lot of space to chill out. The owners are very friendly. Breakfast comes with a lot of homemade cakes and cookies.
Cons: There was a smell in our bathroom that came from the sink.
Pros: Very cozy, friendly and walking distance from ruins and restaurants. Very helpful staff. Lovely breakfast area.
Pros: The staff were super friendly and helpful, the place is immaculately clean and über charming, breakfast was outstanding including catering to the vegan in the group with home-baked cake and soy cappuccino, the bed was super comfortable, the grounds and garden beautiful and relaxing. The beach nearby was a surprising treat, especially in October! Paestum and Il Granaio were a highlight of our Italy trip. I highly recommend them both!
Cons: Wifi didn't work everywhere but that is a super tiny thing. Everything else about Il Graniao is stellar.
Pros: Lovely accommodations, helpful staff, fantastic and reasonable meals and a view of the temple from your window.
With a stay at Borgo La Pietraia in Capaccio-Paestum, you'll be within a 15-minute drive of Sanctuary of Gethsemane and Paestum Archaeological Park. Featured amenities include luggage storage and laundry facilities. Guests may use a roundtrip airport shuttle for a surcharge, and free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: We had booked the suite where we had the most beautiful view but the view you have at the swimming pool or the restaurant is also super. We stayed there three nights and always took our diner at the hotel. The wine and the food were excellent. The hotel is near Paestum so after visiting the temples and nearby little towns or a buffel mozarela farm, we very much enjoyed going back to the hotel where it was very quiet and relaxing in the most beautiful setting.
Pros: People, facilities and location. The spectacular location was not expected as it is a non tourist area. The Italian locals are unimaginablely friendly and helpful
Cons: The property was like an American style resort so there was short walking between facilities. As we are not good at walking this could be a problem for some people. We thought it was worth it and the staff are patient and helpful
Pros: The whole hotel and grounds were lovely. It was small and private and very quiet so a perfect oasis after a busy 2 weeks travelling. The staff were so helpful and couldn’t do enough for us and the restaurant was fabulous with a fantastic view and great food. The room was large and fully equipped with a private terrace. Very close to Paestum too. Highly recommended.
Pros: The place felt tranquil and calm set in beautiful grounds with a stunning view. Lovely pool area. Stand out were the lovely team of staff that looked after us.
Cons: Personally found the bed and pillows a little too hard
Pros: Best hotel on aour round trip along Rome-Naples, Vesuvius, Pompei and Amalfi-coast. Perfect location. Super friendly staff. Great facilities. Pool was imaculate and so very clean! Breakfast and dinner was amazing.
Cons: We could easily have fit all four of us in one of those huge rooms. One of the rooms even had three beds, still when we booked we needed to book two rooms. one room with extra bed would have been the best
Pros: For this accommodation and the restaurant there is just a smooth 10: very friendly staff, beautiful well-kept facility, panoramic views, drinks served by the pool and a refined and very tasty 'cuisine' - too bad it had so few guests; they missed an excellent sunset dinner!
Pros: Beautiful house located in Southern Italy's countryside run by a very loving family. We were greeted by Maribella (?) and another woman, who welcomed us with Espressi and cold water. We were then joined by a man who spoke good English. We ourselves speak fluent Spanish and have both studied Latin, so Italian was OK for us. We had good small talk before Maribella made a reservation for us at a local Agriturismo restaurant (La Brezza), just a few minutes down the street by car. In our conversation, we found out that the surrounding area is famous for mozarella di bufala, which we've tried before, but never the authentic, original Italian one. Next thing we know is, the host family is on the phone ordering mozarella di bufala for breakfast in the morning. Now, I don't want to claim that this is their standard procedure with guests, but I have never been treated this warm and welcoming by any other hosts in my entire travelling life. I can only recommend Villa di Bartolomeo! We will for sure book this place again on a next trip to Southern Italy.
Just a 3-minute walk from the beach and 1 km from the archaeological site of Paestum, Hotel Poseidonia Mare offers free private parking, free bicycle rentals, and a free fitness area. The air-conditioned rooms feature free WiFi, a minibar and satellite TV. Poseidonia Mare Hotel's restaurant, open for dinner, serves delicious local cuisine including homemade pasta, buffalo mozzarella and organic vegetables. An American-style breakfast is prepared daily. The wine bar offers an interesting regional selection. During spring and summer aperitifs can be served in the garden near an ancient water spring.
Pros: Hospitality, clean rooms, good breakfast
Cons: Beds were not very comfortable, plastic cups in the rooms, interior a little bit old-fashioned
Pros: Super location by the lovely beach, excellent waitress in dining room.
Cons: Great dinner cooked each evening but wasted as served 5 corses in 45 minutes flat in a dining room utterly devoid of any atmosphere. What a pity. Bedroom badly needs repainting. If this hotel was re oriented to overlook the neglected garden at the back it could be revitalized and the talented cook would not be working in vain
Pros: All the staff I met were great. Alessandro the owner was amazing, very helpful and very welcoming. The waitress who was at breakfast was very friendly and attentive. They allowed me to leave my car after I checked out while I visited the cheese factory and explored the Paestum temples (note:it was low season so the car park wasn't busy, maybe this would not have been possible in high season). The location is great - 3mins walk from beach, 3 mins walk from.cheese factory, 15 minutes walk from the temples.
Cons: The interior decor wasn't to my taste, but that is just a personal preference.
Pros: Balcony, hosts and nature
Cons: Sometimes smell from a farm with buffalo s
Pros: Extremely friendly and helpful staff. About 100metres from a beautiful beach. Close to the archaeological site at Paestum. Restaurant in the hotel and many close by.
Cons: Absolutely no complaints
Pros: Breakfast was great. Super friendly service.
Pros: Loved the Hotel Poseidonia Mare! We came at the end of the season (October) and felt we had the hotel to ourselves. The room was clean and comfortable with a view of the ocean about 300 meters away. The owner, Alessandro, manned the front desk and was very friendly and helpful and shared some of the hotels history with us. Our room came with breakfast included and our server, Kasia, couldn't have been more delightful. In addition to the buffet options we were served a hot breakfast of locally prepared items. Liking the town and the hotel so much, we chose to extend our stay and had dinner at the hotel on our second night. Best decision ever! Kasia was again our server and we feasted on a four course Italian meal. The bolognese was to die for and the bufalo cheese was a tasty treat with our 1st course. If you've read this far you won't be surprised that I highly recommend this property.
Pros: Walking distance to the beach and several restaurants. Near the antic ruins. The personal extremly welcoming and attentive. Breakfast excellent with everything you asked for.
Cons: Nothing serious. Bathroom a bit small in our room. Hotel not topmodern but ok for the price.
Pros: So close to the lovely beach. A very nice owner and staff. The oldfashion charm. And of course quite near to the Greek Temples and archeogical site and museum.
Cons: Really nothing. A bit oldfashioned, but I like that.
This charming hotel is situated in Paestum. Those wishing to escape the hustle and bustle of daily routine will find peace and tranquillity at this establishment. Those who dislike animals may enjoy their stay, as this accommodation does not allow pets.
Pros: Very good location and friendly and helpful guest
Pros: Friendly staff. Modern, very clean in a rustic style. 10 minute walk to the entrance to the ruins.
Cons: No supermarket or local shop to buy basics, felt isolated. Not as pretty as it looks in the picture on the website. The view is of a run down area.
Pros: The location can't be beat. 10 minute walk to the Temples and several good restaurant options along the way. It was storming the night we stayed, but we were able to walk just a couple of doors down and have one of the best meals! The room we had was LARGE - in fact it was 2 rooms. This would be ideal if traveling with children or teens. The pull out bed was in another room. Huge windows which let in the cool night air. Parking right across the street - so easy if traveling with a car!
Cons: Just minor things really. Lighting in the bathroom wasn't great. There was only one mirror placed quite high over the bathroom sink. It was impossible to see beyond my shoulders. I feel hotels should always have a full length mirror - preferably outside of the bathroom so 2 people can be getting ready at the same time. Plus, I would really like to see how I look before heading out to dinner. There are lots of blank walls that could easily have a full length mirror. It's actually one of the things that determines if I stay at a hotel again (when possible). Add a mirror and brighter lights in the bath! Other than that - we really did enjoy our stay!
Pros: Beautiful hotel! Great location, right by ruins and cafes/restaurants!
Pros: Very clean. Great location. Friendly staff.
Pros: Nice staff and simple but very good breakfast. Good location.
Cons: No elevator so hard for older travelers. The staff was very helpful with luggage but we still had the stairs up and down from our room.
Pros: The staff are very friendly and helpful, breakfast was perfect and my coffee was the best I’ve had so far in Italy. The location is just perfect and the rooms are extremely clean. The building has lots of character.
Cons: I would have preferred a softer pillow and bed but maybe that’s just me. If these were improved this would be a five star, 10/10 place to stay.
Pros: The room is very spacious and cozy. The hotel is in front of the walls of Paestum. The ornes was very nice and willing to help.
Located in Capaccio-Paestum, Hotel Villa Rita is within a 15-minute walk of National Archaeological Museum of Paestum and Paestum Archaeological Park. Featured amenities include express check-in, a 24-hour front desk, and a safe deposit box at the front desk. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: The hotel was comfortable and in a brilliant location for walking to the temples and restaurants. The staff were helpful and pleasant and always on hand. We chose to stay in the main building. Our room was lovely with a balcony. Air conditioning worked well as weather extremely hot. The pool was amazing and beautifully clean. Our room was very comfortable with plentiful supply of towels each day.
Cons: Needs minor updating but in very good decorative state.
Pros: Rita was very helpful and friendly. I enjoyed the pool area and the breakfast was very good. We were able to borrow bicycles to ride down to the beach and up to the ruins. We were given a lift back to the station when we left which was lovely as it was so hot! Location ideal for the ancient temples and the coast.
Cons: Summer language school when we were there so lots of children and noise at times round the pool area.
Pros: Lovely hotel in a,great location near the Greek temples, rooms stylish pool and gardens lovely, food good and staff friendly and helpful transferred us from and to railway station. Would recommend for short stay or somewhere to relax for longer.
Pros: nice and about 20 meters swimming pool was but caps necessary, nice green garden, silence & quiet in the hotel and area, short distance to the Paestum ruins
Cons: Smell - it is the village and it is felt everywhere (and I don't think about flowers ;-)). Probably there are rooms in different standards in the main building and in the bungalow - in the bungalow I did not see the room from the first photo on booking. Breakfest - no vegetables a no healthy products :-( eg. lot of different sweets from the supermarket not from the local bakery, what I would prefer in the village; bred not fresh. Location - long distance from the railway station. Bikes - avalaible but in terrible condition.
Pros: Rita and her Father were amazing! Really accommodating. Walking distance to Paestum Temples.
Pros: Great hotel in excellent location for visiting Paestum's greek temples. Good value 3 course evening meal and ample breakfast. Very comfortable one night stay.
Pros: Loved every minute. Wonderful staff, great rooms. The people and the place were great. Loved having bikes to ride to the three temples
Cons: Nothing- it was was great
Pros: Good breakfast, good location, bicycles to use.
Cons: Small tv, owner and son were a bit uncaring.
Located in Capaccio-Paestum, Savoy Beach Hotel is a 4-minute drive from National Archaeological Museum of Paestum and 5 minutes from Paestum Archaeological Park. Featured amenities include a business center, express check-in, and express check-out. This hotel has 8 meeting rooms available for events. Free self parking is available onsite.
Cons: Rude staff, not welcoming at all. Private beach was closed during entire stay. Felt unwanted as a guest from the first moment to the last! Avoid.
Cons: The staff were extremely rude to us on numerous occasions. We could not get a second room key, between three of us one was not enough. They wouldn't allow us into breakfast, even though we had paid for it. I had to get the booking out to show them we had paid for it. We were told we would have an iron in our room upon arrival but we didn't receive one. The beach is also misleadingly not attached to the hotel. Not worth the money.
Pros: Proximity to beach Excellent breakfast The ruins nearby were a pleasant surprise
Cons: Beds too soft and they didn’t have a bed board to make it better (most hotels have these!) The dinner in the restaurant. Great meal but the service was awful. Took 2 hours and 45 minutes (and the portions were quite small) One of the staff was incredibly rude (sassy) and unfriendly and not helpful. I think her name was Jessica
Pros: Great swimming pool, very nice breakfast, super comfy beds!!!
Cons: Beach a bit far away, not all the rooms have balcony
Pros: Private Beach club
Cons: A bit dated facilities but clean
Pros: This is our tenth time staying here. This time we brought the family: ten of us to visit our grandmother’s birth town, Sicignano.
Cons: The fan for the air conditioner rattled
Pros: Room location close to the beach and independent , restaurant, staff, room facilities, swimming pool
Portasirena is housed in an ancient farmhouse overlooking the surrounding mountains of Cilento. It offers air-conditioned rooms with a flat-screen TV, plus free Wi-Fi in public areas. The establishment is situated at the border of the archaeological area of Paestum and only 2 km from a long sandy beach stretching for 15 km along a flourishing pine wood. Portasirena is the ideal starting point to visit the most beautiful venues of the region, such as the Amalfi Coast, Pompei, Ercolano, Capri and Ischia. The restaurant offers elaborate menus of the regional tradition with the use of local products and wines.
Pros: Excellent location for visiting the Paestum Archeological site, comfortably walking distance. Easy to find from the Strada Statale. Fabulous pool with views across the plains to the encircling mountains. Eat at the poolside restaurant watching the sunset - really good local food and excellent value.
Cons: The room was fairly basic but bed was comfortable, lovely views, would opt to stay on first floor in future as ground floor bedroom window quite public. No fridge or kettle in the room.
Pros: The pool in beautiful surroundings.Very close to archeological site.
Cons: No fridge in room or available drinks between noon and 8pm.
Pros: Perfect location. Close to buffalo farms. Close to the beaches. Close to Paestum. All amenities needed. Large and comfortable pool, good restaurant, playground for kids, lots of place. Really helpful staff.
Cons: Small rooms
Pros: Friendly and attentive staff. Lovely pool, where we could cool off after visiting the ruins. Good restaurant, with large portions and good prices.
Pros: Nice location and service
Pros: Lovely pool and sunbathing areas, gardens. Great authentic restaurant. Room and en suite bathroom very good.
Cons: Bed mattress could perhaps be more comfortable.
Pros: Staff and accommodation excellent and the restaurant is superb.
Pros: Everything especially the pool
Pros: The pool, the food, the staff were all excellent
Cons: The bed was very hard
Pros: Beautiful property and grounds, spacious room, quiet and peaceful. Very gracious host (Giovanni) and we were able to communicate fine with basic Italian. Continental breakfast totally fine. Gorgeous dining room, could see having a family event or party here. Lovely view of the sun rising over the mountains and their crop of peach trees. I'm originally from California and this reminds me of Napa wine country. Proximity to the Paestum train station and archaeological zone 20-25 minute walk but took longer because we kept stopping to take photos of the beautiful countryside!
Cons: Very small watchout... start the shower water running a few minutes beforehand to get the hot water going. Not really a problem once you knew. Location is an easy turn off the highway... just need a better map and directions on the website. If coming by train, it would be helpful to know if you must arrange a taxi or other pickup from the train station. Other than that, the reason it is quiet is because it is not in a congested touristy area, which is a good thing!
Pros: We got lost. The owner drove out to our location and we followed him back to the hotel.
Pros: The hotel was very clean and comfortable, but the best is the resturant and the food all home cooked and not expensive, we would stay there again.
Cons: The staff speak very little english.
Pros: The staff and the quiet
Cons: Very hard to get to because of the road structure
Pros: Doesn´t have personal qualified for the service. Breakfast is poor.
Cons: Doesn´t have personal qualified for the service. Breakfast is poor.
Located in Capaccio-Paestum, Azienda Bellelli Turismo Rurale is in a rural location, within a 10-minute drive of National Archaeological Museum of Paestum and Paestum Archaeological Park. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: The place was so quiet and comfortable. The decor was so modern and clean. Maria is the best hostess. Breakfast every morning was divine and dinner next door was great. There are many things to do and see in the area- Paestum, cheese farms, the beach. We enjoyed sitting in the garden with wine and snacks.
Pros: The property is spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was great and the staff were super kind. They even gave us a welcoming gelato. We also received great recommendations for food and dining. The room was comfortable with plenty of linen. A kettle is also provided.
Cons: The property was a bit difficult to find on google maps, just follow the signage when you enter the main road.
Pros: We came to visit Paestum and preferred to stay a bit away from crowds. We were not disappointed, Azienda Belleli surpassed our expectations. Maria is a wonderful attentive host who took great care of us. We could enjoy the rural surroundings, breakfast was amazing and one evening we even had the opportunity to enjoy Donatella's culinary skills. When visiting Paestum again we would definitely stay in this Agriturismo. Highly recommended.
Pros: Loved the breakfast with lots of different home made jams, and Buffalo ricotta/yogurt. Also had a fun dinner at the neighboring B&B with their gussets.
Pros: Maria is a joy starting with the glass of wine when we arrived to the free maps and advice plus fabulous breakfast of local favorites.
Pros: Excellent breakfast with top quality local products. Kindness of the staff. Very pleasant rural and relaxing atmosphere.
Cons: It was a bit humid in the room because the heating system was already switched off since warm season is supposed to be started. We were just unlucky because of the weather.

Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, luggage storage, and a library. Free self parking is available onsite.

Pros: Very good breakfast and very nice staff, location is only 100m away from the beach, a little outside Paestum
Pros: Location is great. 5 minutes from a beach. Very friendly staff that speaks English. Breakfast is very delicious. Parking is easy. Beach is excellent.
Cons: Rooms are old. Though staff tries to keep it clean - they can not. And air condition - is located right above the bed. So you can not use it in night. Nearest restaurant - 10 minutes drive. Nearest grocery store - 1 minutes drive
Pros: Great location, close to the beach, very friendly and helpful owner and staff. Great breakfast! Free parking! Close to the greek temples in Paestum.
Pros: Food was fantastic.
Pros: Staff superb. Food Devine and wonderful beach.
Cons: Everything was excellent.
Pros: Well situated for visiting Paestum- nice and secluded not far from beach Excellent restaurant. Staff very friendly and we loved the on trend decor

Pros: Friendly staff Clean rooms Fantastic location Great swimming pool Private beach
Pros: The very comfortable king size bed, 2 zone ac, spacious suite, comfortable patio furniture, drying rack, ability to brighten up room by opening louvered shutters, pool, beach with lounges and umbrellas, very friendly staff, beautiful grounds, breakfast.
Cons: Needed a car to go to town. Loud announcements from next door resort.
Pros: The location, while out of the way was gorgeous and had the most beautiful beach and pool. The staff were friendly especially the lovely bar man and the young lady on reception! The rooms were clean and everything is so close to each other and 2 minutes to the wonderfully clean beach.
Cons: the dining experience needs to be improved. The dinners we did have were not good enough quality or quantity for the prices charged. the staff, although friendly were not on the ball all the time in the restaurant either.
Pros: Location and structure of hotel buildings and objects is very functional and nicely decorated. Very nice swiming pool and realy short distance to the beach.
Cons: The breakfest could be more variet. It would be nice to have choice of some hot dishes.
Pros: Friendly staff, nice pool and right at the beach
Pros: Walking distance to the beach
Pros: The private beach is awesome! Enjoyed the sunset almost every day! Sunbeds were included and very comfortable. The room is very good size, furbished in a modern way and super clean every day. Breakfast is good and is frequently refilled. The pool area is very nice with the palm trees and the lounge music. Great for families with children and for pairs as well. The staff is helpful and very nice and caring for the guests. We had a great time in the two weeks we stayed. You can have a tasty meal in the on premise restaurant. In Agropoli you will be able to find good restaurants with authentic meals and great value for money.
Cons: The wifi is terrible, you loose connection constantly and it is not available everywhere. Not all the staff speaks English but you can understand each other:)
A stay at Hotel Ariston places you in the heart of Capaccio-Paestum, within a 5-minute drive of National Archaeological Museum of Paestum and Paestum Archaeological Park. Featured amenities include a business center, luggage storage, and laundry facilities. Guests may use a roundtrip airport shuttle for a surcharge, and free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Superior bedroom great size but no view just a building beside for 6 nights.
Cons: Did not think any of the staff were friendly. Felt when at reception or lounge we were disturbing them. Never saw a smile the 6 days we were there. There is no outdoor pool as it stated in blurb it is just a jacuzzi. Had to get shuttle bus to beach. A beach pass is reqired. Although nobody shared that info. Staff even a beach bed not friendly. Bar v badly stocked. When ordering a drink approx 15 min wait after they eventually acknowledge. We had to send back drinks on 4 occasions and then just stopped ordering there. It is really a wedding and conference hotel. Very plush furniture wise but very lacking staff wise. Even when passing reception and saying Buongiorno never acknowledge by anyone. Hotel looks great but all let down by no welcoming staff.
Pros: Anna at the front desk. She was great. She made our stay great.
Pros: I feel like home, the owner is so nice, ask for Anna, nice place to travel around South of Italy, the restaurant in the hotel is so great!, walking distance to the beach, have to visit the Mozarella Cheese Tempi part of the hotel owner, I will come back !!
Pros: Was a nice property and very well kept.
Cons: There isn’t a pool and this info is not clear and I even call to make sure that was a pool... The other issues are wedding and celebrations...fireworks at 2 in the night...not good at all
Pros: the hotel outside is beautiful, very good private beach facilities, indoor pool and gym very good
Cons: the breakfast with no vegetables, refill of food was very slow. the room had no outside view (window with light but no view), the room bath inconfortable to access, No outdoor swimmng pool .
Pros: the private beach was our highlight, spent most of our time on the beach the staff were really sweet it is convenient distance from Paestum ruins the breakfast was lush, the room size was good and i really like the area loads of restaurants, supermarket close by, quite and relaxing and the shuttle to the beach was really useful
Cons: No outdoor swimming pool décor of the room was outdated The hotel always had a wedding booking or an engagement party booking or a baby shower booking (even on a weekday), so be prepared to see a spree of guests in their upscale gowns taking photos while you are strolling around in your shorts and skimpy top. We decided to chill one day in the hotel common area and found our self in the middle of someone's bride and grooms introduction. Unfortunately we were dressed for the beach so decided to sneak out of the hoard of people that were there celebrating the wedding; so we were spending most of our time in their private beach which was lovely
Pros: Location was good Staff very friendly Breakfast was good Very clean and well decorated
Cons: No outdoor pool to use
Pros: Quick shuttle to the beach and amiable staff in the shuttle. Hotel is 1 km from the beach and the hotel has its private beach for the guests. Beautiful surroundings at the hotel mostly though for wedding settings Big rooms and large beds
Cons: Weddings take up the whole of the big outdoor part of this hotel. No regular hotel guests were supposed to be there. All the setup was for weddings and no bar service, pool service and relaxing was to be found in that large area. The big pool is indoors but there is a small space in the rear of the hotel that is for relaxing and bathing in a small tub. No bar service outside of the hotel. You had to fetch everything yourself and bring it out if you wanted to sit out The service at the beach was OK but they don't accept cards in any way. Only cash. And the restaurant was only open till 15h30 for snacks. Wifi at the hotel was very slow and didn't work most of the time. Seemed like most of the guests had best signal near the reception.
The Esplanade Boutique Hotel, BW Premier Collection® is a modern and comfortable building. The hotel restaurant offers excellent Mediterranean cooking. We are situated 150 meters from a private beach and 1 kilometer from archaeological areas. Our swimming pool is located in a large sub-tropical garden. We also offer parking arrangements and excursions to Capri, Pompei, Padula, Pertosa's caves, and Cilento. Enjoy your stay.
Pros: Very close to the beach, large room and very nice staff.
Pros: The hotel is very nice, clean and well maintained. The garden of the hotel is simply beautiful as the swimming pool. The room was clean and beds comfortable. A/C and WI-FI works fine throughout the Hotel. The breakfast was great! The hotel is 8/9mins walking from the beach and 10 mins drive from Paestum ruins. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Free car parking spot.
Cons: If I have to be picky, the pillows were too soft and the tv too small.
Pros: We were 'upgraded' to their sister property next door, the Savoy Beach, which is marketed as a star higher (although this had not been communicated to us, leading to much confusion upon arrival). The new hotel, whilst friendly, seem devoid of guests and there were building works going on, including drilling on a concrete terrace. Staff in the bar were friendly and very helpful. The rooms were clean and the bathrooms were spacious, and I liked the Etro Milano products offered. The public spaces were lovely, nicely decorated and again, very clean. Parking was easy and we were a stone's throw from the excellent Paestum temple site. We also were near to some beach restaurants and gelateria that were very pleasant.
Cons: The confusion over where we were staying could have easily been resolved via email prior to our arrival. The rooms were were given were fine, other than they overlooked a vast tarmac roof of the outdoor dining/bar area below. It was quite odd, actually. The one and only restaurant is very formal, perhaps too formal for a 'beach' venue. Service was excellent, if a bit overbearing and intrusive. Staff could learn to read their guests better. The menu should also offer options for a quick meal for tired travellers rather than a 6-course buffalo tasting menu which was heavily pushed upon arrival. Breakfast was not ready at the appointed hour, so those of us who had flights to catch could only grab a quick pastry and filter coffee, which was a shame.
Pros: The shower
Pros: The interior design was really nice. The Hotel Bathroom was a pleasure to use! Clean and good smelling. Also the staff was friendly when you approached them.
Cons: However, in general you needed to approach them for them to do something. They wouldn’t come to you by them self when you would stay next to the pool with no deck chairs around (as they often removed every single one for the [in our case] daily marriages), in which case I searched for one by myself and took it to the pool with my friend.
Pros: Every single member of staff with whom we came into contact was friendly, professional, and helpful. The choice food at breakfast was super, and of a high quality. The yoghurts and also the croissants were the best we tasted in the three weeks we spent in Italy. We had a couple of good lunches at the beach club which was a very short stroll from the hotel and led onto a lovely, clean, sandy beach.
Cons: The ‘25 minute’ walk to the archaeological site is accurate in that 25 minutes takes you to the perimeter wall, it’s a further 20 minutes to the entrance though. It wasn’t a problem for us but if you want a hotel with a pool then this possibly isn’t for you. This is a wedding venue and the pool area is out of bounds to all but the wedding guests.
Pros: Green minded; saving electricity by using key card to activate power in room. Modern and stylish.
Pros: Modern very comfortable hotel. Good bed. Excellent shower. Excellent free breakfast. Quiet enviroment. Close to the beach and Paestum archeological site.
Cons: More a business hotel than a holiday hotel. Wireless Internet not working. Not much to do in neighbourhood.
Pros: Very convenient to Paestum. Not too hard to find. Good restaurant. Internet available in room
Cons: Air conditioning was not working in our room, even though the desk clerk assured us that it was.
Pros: the room; the meal, the beach, the staff
Pros: Staff very friendly and helpful. Hotel clean and food lovely
Pros: swiming pool
Cons: not attractive breakfast
Pros: The location was excellent
Pros: The room was excellent. The double walk in shower in the bathroom was fantastic. The gardens and grounds, and mountain views were spectacular. The staff were very helpful. Breakfast was very good indeed.
Pros: The hotel is professional in style and manner. Staff is very attentive and helpful with our arrangements. They are user-friendly for those of us with limited Italian. The restaurant's food is delicious and well-presented. We liked the local buffalo mozzarella and proscuitto very much. We enjoyed the local wines on the Wine List as well.
Cons: Restaurant menu choices were limited, though that is understandable because of the number of guests.
Pros: Very friendly staff, good facilities and handy for Paestum
Cons: No - infact I find the Best Western are invariable good value good standard.
La Chiocciola is set in Trentinara. The units have a fully equipped kitchenette with dining area, a fridge, coffee machine, and a stovetop. Guests at the bed and breakfast can enjoy an Italian breakfast. Paestum is 19 km from La Chiocciola, while Agropoli is 21 km from the property.
Pros: Carmela and her family were incredibly friendly and helpful during our stay.

Pros: Great hotel with a good design. Good room with sea view balcony. Breakfast was good and the room was clean. Close to Paestum but not close enough to walk.
Cons: The WiFi was very spotty in our room. No real problems but it can be irritating.
Pros: Breakfast was very good, good choice And good layout. Hotel very comfortable.
Cons: It is a hotel that caters mainly for weddings so be aware that it is very quiet apart from the lArgd Italian wedding parties. I didn't like the weather. It rained
Pros: Excellent place with amazing staff
Cons: We liked everything. Nothing to say here.
Pros: Breakfast included & lovely. Easy walk to beach, amazing sunset, and beautiful solarium/ whirlpool deck with bar made great apertivo.
Cons: Bed was very firm with a flat pillow that I had to fold up to double. Otherwise, no complaints
Pros: 5 minutes walk from the sea
Cons: The bedroom didn’t have all the facilities you expect in a 5 stars hotel. No kettle , no snacks, fridge barely working. Bath rusty and damaged. Breakfast you can expect in a 3/4 stars hotel. Restaurant food very poor, limited choice and average taste.
Pros: The swimming pulse, design, room and music in the evening were great! The men on reception were very friendly.
Cons: We forgot the scarf at our room (it was defently near the sofa,at the plastic bag),we call twice or more at the hotel, write the message on email, but the girl didn’t understand any world. And finally said that they didn’t find it.But it was here!((((
Pros: A lots of thing to do around if you have a car.
Cons: It's a wedding/event hotel, not for touriste. Also not a 5 stars hotel.
Pros: Beautiful hotel great facilities
Cons: The hotel was perfect
Pros: nice rooms
Cons: The breakfast was very basic We could not eat outdoor, outdooraccomodation was for weddingparties!!!!! Very very noisy!!!!
Pros: Comfortable hotel at a good price. Big outside pool and jacuzzi. Restaurant is really good with reasonable prices regarding the quality of the products. Wide choice of wines.
Cons: There was traces of moisture near the ventilation system in the room.

Pros: A very beautiful place with a nice beach, garden and forest
Cons: It was very noisy at night due to the large number of weddings it was during our stay.
Pros: The grounds were beautiful and well maintained. Beautiful beach.
Cons: After booking we were notified the pool would be closed on our arrival date due to a lunch time wedding. There was no mention that the pool was closed for the season. i asked about the pool and was only told that it was closed. when pressed, staff just repeated it was closed. I wish we had been told that prior to booking. The wedding party took up much of the resort and we felt uncomfortable walking around. everywhere we went, we ended up walking through through wedding guests. And then there’s the fireworks and music that went on well past midnight. While trying to sleep through the noise of the wedding party, fireworks went off at 11 pm, midnight and again at 2 am. Who is watching fireworks at 2am? So, no sleep for us. The room was a family room. It was clean but the beds were terribly uncomfortable and the general esthetic was cheap and outdated. The walls were thin and we could hear our neighbors well into the night. I’d read in other reviews that some rooms had been renovated but this one had not. Overall, the room decor came nowhere close to matching the resort decor. At dinner, the server brought our bottle of wine to us 10 minutes after he presented us our meals. At lunch the following day, we were given a menu to review only to be told that the majority of the items on the menu were no longer available. Overall, it was fine but I did expect more from this property. Not sure this I will return or recommend.
Pros: Beautiful calm surroundigs. Big rooms
Cons: Most staff curt, no smile, unhelpful. A few nice ones
Pros: Rooms, staff, service
Cons: Taxi’s impossible to get - half hour wait on occasion. Staff most helpful but local taxi firms and hotels need to get their act together
Pros: The restaurant in which breakfast takes place was nice, however, the actual breakfast choices and staff customer service was poor.
Cons: Lack of variety, staff were not very accommodating when you requested something.
Pros: Location is great, the hotel itself very nice, calm and quiet.
Cons: The kitchen utilities were quite poor, f.e. no forks and dish washing stuff.
Pros: Fantastic beach nearby.
Cons: Coffee would run out before breakfast times were over.
