Pros: Aga Reef was absolutely beautiful and we were very lucky with our stay. If you are deciding on somewhere to stay in Samoa stop looking and make it here! The lagoon area is like watching an aquarium and talking to Rick, one of the managers, his passion for the reef is clear. We were lucky enough to see Dolphins passing by from the island, and turtles coming into the lagoon. The best snorkelling we did in Samoa was on the resort's reef! The pool area is absolutely stunning, the restaurant serves delicious food and the staff were without exception all fantastically kind and helpful. The resort is in a perfect position to enjoy Lalomanu beach and To Sua Ocean trench which are two of the highlights for any trip to Samoa. We had our return flights cancelled due to the coronavirus outbreak. Rick and Nyra could not have been more helpful and went well above and beyond in assisting us rearranging our travel plans. We chose to extend our stay at Aga Reef and are very glad we did so. Thank you Aga Reef for an unforgettable stay!
Pros: The breakfast was satisfactory: compared to other resorts we have stayed in that were of similar price and settings. One day the tea was "finished", only coffee available. Can't get a cup of tea at Breakfast - Really! At times the fruit plates were slow to be replenished. Liked how they had some local dishes for breakfast. The muffins, pancakes and scrolls added to the variety. The cooked eggs were always nice and the food overall for lunch and dinner was very good. Credit to the Chefs. Across the resort the staff were lovely, happy and welcoming. They were always asking how your day was and if they could get you anything. Would recommend the Aga Reef Resort - we really enjoyed our stay.
Pros: Beautiful scenery and amazing rooms over the water.
Cons: A ladder into the water from the balcony would have been amazing! As would have the second pool, unsure why it wasn’t functional but the sunsets from there were amazing and would of been great to have had the pool working!
Pros: We absolutely loved everything but most of all we loved the wonderful staff - Taulima, Lucky, Napa, and the female masseuse really made our stay extra special. This is the most amazing place my partner and I have ever stayed. The location, the luxurious island villa (make sure you pay the extra for one) the varieties of fish and animals in the reef we could watch from our balcony, the food, pools, outdoor shower, sunsets, massage, everything. We couldn’t fault anything, we splashed out for my birthday and it was worth it 100%!!!
Cons: We only wish the staff were paid more - like anywhere in Samoa of course, but we would have expected slightly more for the price tag. We asked politely what the wage was like, and they wouldn’t give an exact Tala per hour, but we were shocked when we heard what it was in between. TV in the island villas weren’t working but this was due to a cyclone the week before.
Pros: rooms were great, staff exceptional
Cons: restaurant was a bit poor with little variety and food was average
Pros: Amazing location on a beautiful reef full of wildlife. Amazing staff, very helpful and very friendly, great food and a very comfortable bed. No complaints at all,our stay here was perfect. Thankyou all at Aga Reef :)
Pros: Excellent property. This is 5* in every respect (except no 2nd restaurant). Amazingly helpful staff - nothing too much trouble. THE best place to stay in Samoa.
Cons: The menu could be more varied - but this is a minor criticism and management are aware of this aspect.
Located in Aufaga, Seabreeze Resort Samoa - Exclusively for adults is by the ocean, within a 10-minute drive of To-Sua Ocean Trench and Sopoaga Water Falls. Featured amenities include laundry facilities, a library, and a safe deposit box at the front desk. Guests may use a ferry terminal shuttle for a surcharge, and free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Great people make this resort an awesome place. Great location with a private beach. Great food.
Pros: The resort is located in an idyllic black lava rock bay, with a few islets in sight scattered in the sea. The turtle room I stayed at, termed Ocean View Suite, was spacious and could sleep four. The daily replenished minibar at no extra cost was definitely a plus.
Pros: The location is very close to the famous Ta Sua Ocean Trench. The neighbourhood is very quiet and the resort is cozy. Staff is friendly and very helpfull. The idea of having a complimentary mini bar was superb! I definitely recommend the hotel
Cons: Honestly nothing bothered me. I would suggest to increase the options in the breakfest (if you stay 1 week in the hotel, you will end up eating more of the same) and invest a bit more on entertainment (at least something local) , such as cooking classes or anything that add value from the local culture.
Pros: Beautiful setting, clean rooms, well kept, amazing local staff.
Cons: Manager seemed to forget who we were, he was too distracted by a big party to pay much attention to the rest of the guests.
Pros: quite small, which is perfect because that‘s why it felt so private. The location, the staff, the scenery... everything is so nice an pretty. The only thing Seabreeze can improve on is the breakfast as for us germans it is the most important meal of the day. Choices of bread etc would be nice - on the other hand it‘s a tropical island so deal with it
Pros: Me and my wife loved the Room, the friendly staff, the restaraunt, the included daily mini-bar, the poolside infinity pool, the views and the snrokeling. Also make sure you book on a friday, as the evening entertainment and banquet was awesome.
Pros: High quality rooms. Great people and service. Good beach with snorkelling over coral. Very good food - especially the fish dishes. Helpful advice about what to see when had a hire car.
Cons: Lots of trees and hill behind, meant that it was hard to find a place to tan. A bit on the pricey side. Wife went for morning runs and was threatened by dogs, once bitten. Wifi was bought at $20 for 2 hrs, but the service was so slow that the time got chewed up waiting for things to load. Pretty useless.
Pros: Every day when the room was cleaned the staff made an animal sculpture using towels, each day was different, & our mini bar was restocked with wine, beer and snacks, included in the price. Comfy Beds.
Cons: The staff were very quiet, so i missed some more local interaction and knowledge on local culture, yet the staff were always polite and friendly, just a bit reserved, a good negative for some i guess.
