Close to Bay to walk. Beautiful country.
The B&B was lovely and the rooms great. The breakfast was very tasty.
Unfortunately on arrival my husband accidentally reversed into a flower pot outside the building and broke it. We were then greeted by the owner opening the door saying hello and saying 'I heard a crack that'll be expensive for you" Obviously we were going to pay for the replacement pot but it did make our arrival rather uncomfortable. The owner was very quick to tell us how much it would cost and we duly paid.
Our hostess Ann was very gracious and made us feel welcomed in her beautiful home. The breakfast we were served was a full Irish meal and I really enjoyed the fresh berries with yogurt. We also used the living room facility to take a cocktail in and watch the big horse show from Dublin. The restaurants were excellent, grounds were lovely. We found the people in town very friendly. My husband and I toured the Westport House and found it very interesting. Unfortunately because of time and fog setting in we were unable to hike Mt.. St. Patrick. We would certainly recommend this B&B to everyone. Jo-Anne Finucane
