The staff were all lovely and would go out of their way to help out. They offered a motorcycle for rent so I could explore the area. The beach was very peaceful, with very few boats and others around. The restaurant was also excellent with a range of traditional Vietnamese dishes to choose from.
Location was very remote with no shops nearby. The beach had quite a lot of trash.
Lays at a beautyful, clean & peaceful beach, the resort really lovely for relaxing with family & friends after a long hard working time, far from noisy city as well. The villas really thumb up, too.
The facilities inside the villas are the differents story. Especially the kitchen area & bathroom, clean but so old. Some things broken down likes the fridge, the stove. The mattress is sooo rough. Also, some room did not have hot water.
The only positive thing is that the pool (which is only 1,1m at the deepest) is well maintained. Apart from that it was not very nice. We had booked 5 nights, left after one. After we presented a long list of things not meeting (in our view) normal expectations, they only charged us for that one night. See also our minus list by clicking "View all reviews"...
It was a very odd and deserted place, it felt like we were the only guests. The resort has probably been really nice about 10-15 years ago but does now mostly appear as a worned and not very maintained place. The tree house was under attack of termites, wich has resulted in a destroyed table, wooden floor boards swaying suspiciously. The bed linen had holes and was dirty, we found insect rests (poo or eggs?) in 2 of 5 beds. The AC in one of the bedrooms did not work, the other one had a broken swing, the fan on the bottom floor did not work and so on. The pool is 1,1m-0,8m deep. Our kids found it very booring. The restaurant is very expensive, costs is about 2-3 times of what you pay on similar restaurants in the rest of Vietnam. And you are isolated out there so you do not have alternatives.
Terrible beds very old place full of cockroaches and water was so cold. 1000usd for 3 nights was too much. Apart from nice staff everything else was awful. Never doing that again
The view from our villa was fantastic. It was as quiet as can be...a place to go for relaxing, meditation and reflection. The riverside of this property was lovely as well, across the road, where you would have your breakfast and enjoy a nicely designed pool. Kayaking available!
Bedroom bed uncomfortable compared to the nice villa. There were no cooking utensils whatsoever although a kitchenette with nice stove and refrigerator is part of the villas. The food was ok, but what is in the menu is not always available. That’s all you can get, food from the menu. The beach is beautiful, but lots of garbage in the surroundings unfortunately.
