Pros: The wonderful staff, roof top patio where one can have a glass of wine and watch the sunset and the stars. What a great joy it was and we will return. The breakfast was delightful and beatfully presented.
Pros: Our stay in Álamos was an absolute dream. We arrived after a long car ride. Stepping into the hotel was like walking through the door into a garden paradise. Soft piano music accompanied the trickling water of the central fountain in the courtyard. We were giving a glass of cold jamaica (hibiscus tea) to sip on while we waited to check in. The rooms are right off the main courtyard. Ours was beautifully decorated. But perhaps the best part of all of our stay was the winding staircase leading to a rooftop terrace. We spent a lot of time there reading, relaxing and looking out over the city and mountains. The morning we left we ordered New Orleans style beignets and coffee to our room. They arrived on a carefully prepared tray were delicious! The perfect ending to our perfect stay in this Pueblo Magico. Will be dreaming of our time here until we can return...
Pros: Beautiful, clean, elegant, classic, filled with old world charm and grace. We were sad to leave.
Pros: We love the Hotel Colonial and Alamos. Janet and Kelly are wonderful hosts with impeccable taste and warm, welcoming personalities. The location is excellent — in the heart of Alamos.
Cons: Maybe a little more lighting in the room. We read in bed, and the lights are a bit soft. Makes everything look fantastic, though!
Pros: Rooms are spacious, gardens are well maintained, and the building is beautiful. We rented two rooms and they we very different, with a lot if nice details. They have high vaulted ceilings, a/c, a fireplace, and ceiling fans. Staff was great.
Cons: It is a great place to stay in Alamos. However, it is important to know that there is no tv, swimming pool or safe box, which I personally didn't mind.
Pros: Outstanding location and service. Fernando, Romi, and the whole staff went out of their way to make sure our stay was comfortable.
Pros: The bedroom was big, comfortable and impeccable decorated. Bed was big and comfortable. Location is great
Cons: Our stay was wonderful. We liked eveeything
Pros: The bed was HUGE and very comfy ... it was hard to force ourselves to get up in the morning! Janet gave us some great recommendations for things to do and see in Alamos.
Cons: We like to read in the evenings so would have preferred a little more lighting in the room to facilitate that. Not a big problem, as we simply took the shade off one of the lamps.

I learned a good lesson.if I'm going to pay for something it should be to my liking,or quit smoking.i don't smoke inside my home or my car I respect others from smoke I feel it's my right,to pick Hotels that accommodate me the customer. I had to smoke on a very busy street.
