Staff not as friendly as I would like
That it was clean
Breakfast was cookies and coffee.
People running it
It was open.
The staff was not helpful. The tv had no cable wire, so it was not functional. The room smelled like body odor. There was no toilet paper.
The check-in person was very friendly. It was very close to the interstate.
The stains on the sink, the busted wood on the bathroom door, the overwhelming smell of lemons, the storm-window that would not shut.
This is a retread type of old motel. The room was very dated and marginally maintained. The bed was just good enough to get a somewhat decent sleep. The phone needed to be replaced because something was loose inside. No lid on the toilet and the tub faucet leaked. Tub was worn and scaly. The Owners were friendly and were accommodating, but that did not make up for the run down appearance of this place. If you need a cheap place in a pinch and don't mind a substandard room, stay here, otherwise there are plenty of place within walking distance of this place.
When I arrived I thought the room was a bit warm so I turned down the heat. Minnesota in March and I thought it odd that the window was partially open but didn't pay any particular mind. By 2AM I was roasting and couldn't sleep so I turned the heat completely off and opened the window all the way. I was frustrated but did'nt want to go to the hassle of changing rooms at 2AM - then the room got too cold and the bedspread (there wasn't a proper blanket) wasn't thick enough to keep me warm. So I had a lousy night's sleep and left.
