Pros: Characterful, tranquil, beautiful, spacious. Rural with wonderful scenery. The staff were welcoming and gave us a tour of the chateau. The restaurant was very good indeed. Superb and beautifully presented breakfast on the terrace.
Cons: Initially a little difficult to find. Drove up to Firmo to find we should have followed the road to Altomonte. However, the drive took us to a lovely town!
Pros: Fantastic countryside setting, beautiful gardens and an immaculate ly restored castle, with well chosen period decor and furnishings. Very comfortable accommodations with a good restaurant on the property
Pros: The location is Really "Unique", it is REALLY a CASTLE, with some suite-level rooms un the upper floors and some nice mini and independent apartments at the lower one, which I choose for my stay. During spring and summer in good weather days, breakfast is served outside on the sunny terrace in front of the very small pool, which is the only too-small/non-usable thing of the place. If the weather is not ok, breakfast is server inside in the large castle rooms ... The place is also wonderfully silent, as it rises practically in the center of a large farm with vineyards (and horse riding facilities) with the most noisy thing being the fridge inside the room.
Pros: Very friendly staff clearly committed to make our stay as pleasant as possible; excellent restaurant on the premises; beautiful grounds and vista from the castello's upper floor; rooms on bottom floor simple but large, though bathroom a bit crowded; Altomonte is about 20min drive away from the hotel and is a charming place to see and have a good gelato near the chiesa (mind the steep access roads).
Pros: Location in a very nice and quiet area, friendliness of the staff, excellent restaurant.
Pros: The property was a lovely authentic old Italian homestead and working farm, lovely restaurant on site, fantastic accommodation, very nice staff. Rooms were huge and the common space was massive all right up in the gods, with a lift! Very personal and elegant in a good old fashioned way. Would be beautiful for a wedding. Loved it!
Cons: Just a suggestion really, fantastic that all the food had a Zero KM policy, real shame the non alcoholic drinks were big company Coke & Fizzy drinks, needed to be fresh pressed, home made fizzy or local organic fizzy. Also the guests should be able to choose having there rooms cleaned and towels changed to bring down the carbon footprint.
Pros: Location, The old house, The staff, the breakfast was amazing . The restaurant has really amazing food and the staff is very nice.
Cons: 1. The bathroom of the bedroom was really horrible . Because the Castle decoration is so nice i have 10 evaluation The bathroom did not downgrade the overall experience . but i gave note 3 in 10 to the bathroom. 2. The music was good but very very loud ... we are young and we like music... but it is an old castle and not an Ibiza party. That is not what you want to find in a old castle surrounding by birds and special noises.
Pros: This place was incredible !! We were 3x couples and had the entire Castello di Serragiumenta to ourselves. The property is an Agriturismo property and while it is isolated it is wonderful, immersed in an expanse of olive trees, vineyards, horse stables, black-pigs and many fruit orchards (and Lao the . The staff were helpful and professional and the restaurant could not do enough to make our stay any more memorable. The hotel rooms clean and tidy with an eye for details. Great breakfast (with locally made quality jams) to be eaten on the terrace adjacent the pool. Very memorable stay
Cons: You will need a car or driver to stay at the property.
Pros: A wonderfull place, beautiful estate. The staff went out of their way to make our stay as nice as possible. They produce their own wine and vegetables, which were fantastic and we enjoyed every evening. If you are looking for quiet beauty, do go here!
Pros: The staff were extremely lovely and very hospitable. Even though there was a wedding on we never heard it during our stay. The place is like a beautiful old farm house and it’s very comfortable. The whole place was beautiful, comfortable and really was very inexpensive for the level of service and amenities.
Cons: Nothing! Wish we could have stayed longer. If you’re there for an extended stay the one restaurant might get boring.

Pros: We stopped in this lovely B & B surrounded by nature returning from a trip to Sicily. We also took advantage of it to visit Altomonte, one of the most beautiful villages in Italy. The room is clean and well furnished, at night the quality of sleep is excellent thanks to being immersed in nature and far from the road. We checked-in and check-out in the risto-bar "Zio Pierino", about 2 km away, where you can eat (delicious food at km 0) and where we also have a rich breakfast. The family that runs the B & B and the risto-bar is fantastic, friendly and helpful.

Pros: Beautiful setting in medieval town.
Cons: Claimed to be 5 star hotel...but it was pretty rustic. They cater mainly to wedding parties, not travelers.
Pros: Nice to stay in an old castle. Clean rooms. Good aircon. Free parking.
Cons: Overpriced. Nice enough, but very bored staff. Breakfast mainly consisted op pre-wrapped cereals and crackers.
Pros: A beautiful old "Castle" run by a family.
Cons: Nothing not to like!
Pros: Our room had a balcony with a spectacular view and a terrace overlooking the courtyard. Our room had beautiful antiques and was very large. The staff was very professional and our dinner in a gorgeous dinning room was perfect.
Pros: Lovely room, full of attractive and authentic touches (monogrammed linen, historic nightstands). Warm staff, stunning views.
Cons: Some public space, or outdoor space, would be nice.
Pros: Perfect little village in the middle of Calabria. Ancient and sleepy, just the way we wanted it to be. A castle, with a tremendous view. We stayed the night and where practically all alone.
Pros: The hospitality and quality of the accommodations were exceptional, beyond what we expected and the views were fantastic.
Cons: The poor WiFi connection.
Pros: Fabulous position and exciting to get to by car or on foot.
Cons: OK it was end of season but the staff could have been trained to speak slowly to someone who didn't know a lot of Italian. No info about hotel or room. The dinner was awful - under ripe melon, uneatably tough steak and seafood risotto made by adding fish sauce to boiled rice rather than cooking the rice in fish stock. Fortunately we found an excellent restaurant in town - San Francesco's. Breakfast was OK and the waiter was simpatico
Pros: Giovanni the owner was very pleasant and accomodating. The property was like going back in time, beautiful in parts, the views from the property were amazing and the location was very quiet. Breakfast and evening meals were very nice and was prepared by Giovanni. ☺
Cons: The photos on the website do not give a true picture of the place. The road to the property was very narrow and quite frightening in places. The property itself needs some love and attention, and unfortunately their were areas that were not clean, and in need of serious repair. Very disappointed that the swimming pool was not in operation.

Pros: Our stay in BB Ka Edda will leave a long-lasting memory in our hearts. The breakfast was plentiful with juice, coffee, tea and a lot of home-made sweets.
