Best place to stay when going to Universal Studios, and I go a lot. There's a free shuttle that takes you to the entrance of City Walk or you can walk there in less than 10 minutes via the pedestrian bridge.
Staff and less than 10 minutes walking distance to Universal studio Wait for elevator and parking was pricey
Everything was perfect
Staff was great, location to other attractions The parking garage was pricey considering I paid 200.00 a night should get a discount when staying. The elevators were all not in service. Breakfast was too expensive for a weeks stay. I couldn't find a salon inside for service.
The room was spacious...good pillows. Good gym, nice pool. Two elevators were out (and have been for 3 years!), making trips up and down sometimes very lengthy. You can call the operator each time you go to the elevator asking to be picked up, but how ridiculous for a hotel of this caliber. Restaurant food was boring. All three places to eat at the hotel had the same menu, with tiny differences. The first meal or two it is fine, you can find alternate foods to eat, but after a few days, a change is necessary. It cost $18 for a so-called, all you can eat 'continental breakfast'...yogurt, fruit, cereal, muffins and coffee! This Hilton is near the Universal City Walk, all franchise restaurants so no good food nearby for real foodies...if you like buffets with all you can eat, this is your place.
The pool, corner room & breakfast. The parking situation upon arrival.
Close to Universal Studios The outside hallway carpet was greasy and muddy. Even after having them clean it, we continued to bring grease and grime and dirt into our hotel room. Our entry walkway was pretty disgusting because of it.
The staff, the comfy beds, location Funny smells, noisy electronics/shower, parking price. The place is good but could use an update
Walking distance to universal and reasonable droving distance to many LA locations. Cost of parking.
Arrived with family and Young Children. At midnight had a fire alarm that told us to exit the building via Staircase. We did. carrying 2 children and 20 flights of stairs later. We were told, It was the steam from the kitchen that caused it, go back to the room. 1 am, this gets repeated again. We get told someone was smoking, go back to the room. This happens again. We just go to the staircase with no energy to walk down 20 flights of stairs. We call 45 min. later to find out (false alarm). So next morning - the staff gets approached and we get told oh there was a party on the 21st floor that was using a fog machine. I asked why not have a PA system in the stairs so you can notify the people to not panic or there's a fire on the 2nd floor or anything. They said oh I know.. WTF.. I know. I just left with family never to return to that one again.
Location was perfect for me. Rooms were nice and clean. Bed, comfortable. There is construction going at the corner of Lankershim and Universal Hollywood Dr. I stayed for two nights where the construction completed at 11PM the first night. Unfortunately construction continued ALL NIGHT the second night which was a Friday night. I was woken up several times by the work that was going on!
Upgraded to larger family room with Sheik theme when they saw we had kids. Kids liked it. Location great. Porbably slightly older than the Hilton next door.
Team members were friendly, shuttle to Universal Studio mall plus in walking distance if you choose and food was good. We were there for our grandsons birthday First I could have had better room rate then what we got Sheraton is a Starwood management and we are owners of a Hotel in San Diego that is also managed by Starwood.. So I had told the manager checking us in that and he still didn't do anything about a lesser rate. Second under remodeling no ATM machine black out curtain didn't close properly use hair clippies to keep outside lighting out at night..
Was charged a deposit at the hotel, had to pay to park. Also room was soooo cold had to sit in coat and hat, called front desk we were offered a space heater but it was never brought to the room. Called the front desk and was told the heat had been cut back on so heater in room should work now.. It didn't
Clean beds. Parking is expensive ~$55 for 2 days. And if you decide to leave the hotel for few hours to cruise around town, you will pay even more for hotel parking. Nothing is free, not even the coffee in the room. $30 breakfast (basic) per person is ridiculous!
I loved the location; close to Universal but also a short drive from Hollywood and Warner Brothers. Walking distance to small restaurants and gas stations. The bed was the most comfortable hotel bed I've ever slept in! And the view from the 20th floor was incredible. The room needs some updating. Dings and marks were visible on the walls and the bathroom showed definite signs of wear.
Location, location and location - that's the only thing positive about this hotel. Otherwise, it is no better than a poor hotel with bad everything - Rooms are aged (badly need remodeling) - Rooms are not kept up and clean (there was mildew buildup around the sink and it was blocked for us) - Service is poor (45 min to get shower cap)
They charge extra just to use wifi, which is typically a standard accommodation everywhere. The place is run down.
I did like that my room was ready on time and that it had a view. When I arrived there was a leak in the restroom that they did not fix... I has the same issue with the water leaking from the toilet when I woke up the next morning. Also the morning I checked out the TV did not work and I had to call room service to fix it and reprogram it. The price was not up to par with the type of room I was given.
IT WAS OUR FIRST TIME TO CALIFORNIA FOR MY WIFE AND I ,WE WERE VERY IMPRESSED WITH THE HOTEL .HOW SPOTLESS EVERYTHING WAS.THE MEN IN THE CONCEIER DESK CHRIS,AND NINO WHERE VERY HELPFUL.THE BUFFET BREAKFEAST WAS THE BEST.
The staff was amazing!! So helpful! The rooms were very comfortable!! The beds were great!! We had a room with a view, and it was fantastic. The one big thing that I didn't like was, that there was no fridge in the room. We asked for one and got one for a small charge. The other only thing I didn't like was, that there was no microwave in the room.
The staff was great. It was right in the middle of Hollywood, nice and clean. Loved the shopping connected to it.
The mattresses were too old and lacked firmness.
As soon as we stepped out of the car we were treated with such surprising care. The man at valet, Ever (that's his name- EVER, how cute is that?) was so nice that my fiancée and I looked at each other and just shook our heads and laughed. We weren't used to customer service like this. We went to check in early, 1pm, and Melanie at the front desk was able to upgrade us to a corner suite! The entire staff was so professional but without being too stuffy. The hotel was beyond our expectations. Not a big deal but there was one little Q-tip outside our room for our stay. We kind of joked that they gave us the Q-tip suite. We also couldn't find coffee in the morning inside the hotel. We had our coffee maker in the room but needed more and didn't want to pay $15 for a pot of coffee at the restaurant.
Staff was ecellent Parking a little too expensive
The staff were very friendly, and helpful when I checked in. Rooms were comfortable and clean. The mini-bar key didn't work, and it would've been nice to have a fridge to keep some drinks in the fridge, but I didn't inquire with the staff, and I assume they would've rectified that for me if I had. Nice and central, so traveling for business doesn't mean limited options for food and amenities.
Hotel was beautiful! Staff was friendly and attentive. Location was fantastic! Our room had a phenomenal view of the Hollywood sign. Pool was gorgeous. All in all, it was the best experience we could have hoped for on our first trip to Tinseltown.
The hotel was located in a perfect location. I was close to everything I wanted to be near. The pool and other facilities was the best. The room was also very cozy.
Full service, location. I booked and paid for a Deluxe King Room with view of Hollywood sign. I received a room near the elevators with a constant machine and elevator running noise. I asked to be moved and was told someone would be right up and after 10 minutes I grew tired of waiting and went down to the front desk. This was already 11PM. I was taken to a new room that had an adjoining door with a party going on in the adjacent room. I asked to be moved AGAIN, eventually to a room with queen bed. The beds were too soft for my taste. There was a curly hair on the soap dish in the shower. I will never stay there again.
Loved the location of this hotel. Service was great as well!
The service and room were phenomenal N/a
- Fresh and well-maintained hotel (especially considering its age) - Very cool decor in the main areas and rooms are well-appointed - Very nice staff - Pool is nice (although it can be crowded during the day, and has a 'bouncer' stationed at the entrance - this is needed given the popularity, but is a little much) - The first room I stayed in was small, had a view of nothing but the rooftop A/C units, and had incredibly noisy ventilation system. The very polite front desk staff moved me to a different (and much nicer) room upon request - $10 bottles of water in the room. Come on guys, a complimentary bottle of water won't kill the margins. - 'Hotel-branded' flip flops for sale at $20 instead of the inexpensive complimentary slippers that are normally available at hotels of this level
Music was great as well as quality of guests. Staff were very rude and not helpful. Would not accept cash for incidental room fee
My room smelled terrible. I didn't like the staff because they were very rude to me for walking around the hotel at night.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. Great location, very close to many tourist attractions. Great restaurants and bars inside hotel. Very cool atmosphere Very hard to sleep in when staying by the pool. Lots of noise every morning from both the hallway and the pool. Hallways smell like weed. Even though we knew we had to pay for parking, $36 a night is a bit extreme
Location, concierge was nice, and the pool was fabulous
I told them we were staying for a special occasion and they had the availability to upgrade our room. Very accommodating made the night special for us, despite the many events happening in and arround the hotel (holiday parties etc.)
The hotel is tired. It has two elevators that hold ten passengers. One of the elevators was often out of order. Sometimes there were guests stuck in the elevator. There was no way to use the stairs so wait times to get to our room were long. Our room was small. The TV was not working well. Mediocre at best.
i liked the look of the rooms. They were nicely decorated. The size of the pool was great - lots of room for everyone. The location was very convenient to a Metro and to the touristy area. The pool area was a little confusing. It was hard to tell which chairs were taken. The chairs by the shallow end of the pool were occupied by people who didnt seem to want to get wet which was frustrating. The hotel room felt like a store. Too many items for sale. This also took up precious space for personal items.
The decor and friendly staff, the 24hr diner and the pool party. The lift was close by and was a little noisy early hours of the morning.
Everything. Joe at front desk was sooo nice The rain!! Booo
Great rooms. Great bar. Wonderful onsite restaurants. Wonderful location. Fantastic staff.
I did like that the front desk accommodated us despite the miscommunication about check in. They gave us free overnight parking as well. I did not like that guest parking was so expensive. Even just for a few hours would be pricey just for a quick visit.
Staff was very friendly and helpful. No breakfast for guests unless you pay at the restaurant or order room service.
The pool area at night was beautiful The only thing I would mention is that the additional parking fee was not clear when I booked, I ve found out of this at the hotel
The Hotel was clean and staff was super friendly but the parking wasn't free, $21 dollare a day. Yikes! No free parking.
Great staff Double queen beds seemed a little small and mattresses were not very comfortable.
Room was very clean and staff was very polite.
We stayed there before going to vegas for our honeymoon... Awesome place, staff is extremely friendly, totally recommended
We liked pretty much everything. There's a pool, fitness center, & gift shop. There's also a fully functioning restaurant (The Daily Grill) that is open early & closes late. Great place to have people in the area meet us for food or drinks. Very comfortable rooms with everything you need included. It was nice to have a parking lot in the hotel, but if you opted not to go with Valet, it was a little bit of a walk to get to the lobby with suitcases & such. Adding to that, the parking lot is shared with airport travelers, so there were times at night where we were concerned we wouldn't find any spaces, even though we were hotel guests. But, it still worked out, there were a couple of hidden spots. My biggest complaint is that the air-conditioning unit in our room was very loud & would wake us up throughout the night whenever it clicked on. On a minor note, the business area in the room with the extra outlets had blown a fuse & no power was coming out of it. We let the front desk know. Over-all, these are small complaints (other than the AC).
I loved the bed but that's about it. When I first checked in I was carrying my baby and luggage and had my son follow. Got all the way to my room and my key didn't work so i had to drag it all back down and carry it all back up a second time. The shower clogged up. The tv was in & out and some channels didn't have any volume?! No fridge, no microwave, no table for us to eat on.... (There was a desk my son ate on but me & my husband had to eat standing up or on the bed) Parking is $21 a night for guest. You have to pay for wifi & breakfast.
Great value for the price. Only thing that I can point out was check in. We had to wait for a room to get cleaned even though we were checking in 2 hrs past regular check in. Also no hot tub. :( staff was top notch. I have never had towels delivered so fast. I swear they were to us before I hung up, haha
Steak salad from room service was exceptional! Employees were friendly and helpful. Toilet stopped up. Hallways smelled musty. Bedspread smelled like someone's perfume - obviously was not washed before I arrived. Woodwork was full of nicks and scratches. Very dissapointing for a Marriott.
The room was great and the hotel was beautiful, the place made me feel special. Also the gym was well equipped and specious. The staff were great too. The room wasn't cheap which is fine it was a top quality hotel, but on top of that were so many extras e.g. internet, parking and not even one complementary bottle of mineral water ($9).
Room service was fast and delicious. May have just been our room (2nd floor overlooking an outdoor area for dogs), but I was awoken throughout the night by loud noises coming from outside and the hallway.
Blinds on the window didn't shut, didn't sleep at all
Having to wait in line to get into drai's
The Hotel itself is very nice, and the staff were absolutely fantastic.....except for the door guys at Drai's and The Station who I don't believe are actually hotel staff. The arrangement with Drai's itself would make question going back. I paid almost $400 per night and had to (a) wait in line 20 minutes on Sunday just to find out I had to pay $20 pp to go up to the pool and eat lunch.....which itself would have been over $100. We were also told and Friday and Saturday by the doorman at "The Station" (their outdoor lounge) that there was a Private Party and we couldn't come in. We asked Management who told us that our room key should get us in...they straightened it out but the door guy sure didn't like it. The Private party ended up being 20-30 people at one table....the lounge itself wasn't half full. I also emailed Drai's a week in advance of our trip to book dinner and never heard back.
Friendly staff on arrival. The ceiling/walls seemed paper thin as noise was excessive from people walking in the room above. Also the noise coming from thin windows. Upon leaving I advised the man on checkout about the noise and my dissatisfaction. He chose to ignore my concern and seemed more interested in charging me for mini bar use. The other girl who he seemed to be training apologized for the noise. This interaction did not make for a good impression of The Grafton.
Aesthetics No hot tub
Stylish rooms, good location of hotel Rooms run down, not very clean (chewing gum on carpet), restaurant low value
Everything was exceptional. The training facilities/gym were a little lacking, but good enough for a short stay.
Convienent location and excellent staff for directions and limo within 3 mile radius of Hollywood. Lounge closed very early for renovations.
Great staff and fabulous pool area. Really was treated great would come back again for sure! Room was comfortable but a wee tacky. And very few places for guests at poolside if you did not have a suite which opened onto pool-those chairs were all reserved, leaving only one small table.
Quite convenient and not far from the City Centre... The rooms are too small and have to pay for Wi-fi service...
The location was great, and the hotel had a fabulous boutique feel about it. Very noisy, we had to chage rooms, but the noise continued. We could hear everything going on above us.
It seems like it is falling apart and falling way behind the times. Ni restaurant, no room service, no bar. No coffee until after 6am...no coffee maker in the room...the gym is getting archaic..no free wifi....my tv did not work on this trip....I've been staying there for 10 years but I think I will have to make a deal with the Mondrian next door.
Great location, great comfort, amazing poolarea.
The walls in this hotel are paper thin. You hear everything. Other than that, a nice hotel.
posizione e confort
this hotel had the most comfortable bed i have slept in away from home. the stylish simple decor is relaxing and the small details are appreciated. the central location is one of the primary reasons i selected this hotel. very pleased with my experience at this hotel.
Very clean Quite far from main la attraction. Neighborhood is a no man's land at night.
The peace and quite and very relaxing and clean Leaving
The guy at the front counter was very helpful room was clean but on the street didn't like that didn't seem like a four-star but did have a minibar valet guy stunk up my car not going back to this hotel because a dirty animal
The rooms were clean and comfortable The staff were attentive and courtious The smoke alarm tests Lack of king bed availaîlity
This is a very efficient, comfortable and stylish hotel. The staff is friendly and professional. Clearly, they hire customer oriented staff and pay great attention to detail. I'll definately return.
Very nice room with good comfort Expensive breakfast! Including tax and normal tip we paid almost 70 dollars for a three persons continental breakfast (toast, muffin and fruit).
Just how nice the staff was and the welcome feeling each time you entered the doors An $93 dollars charge a day later after paying the bill that was not given a reason for what it was for.
Everything was great! Would recommend to others
Pillows, beds, comfort of whole room. Excellent staff. Shuttle was lincoln town car. Across from 24hr grocery store. No view just another room 4 feet away. No pool. Spa water was warm but not hot. Did I mention, no pool!
Everything was great! I can write a lot of about this hotel and it would be only good. The hotel was an amazingly positive surprise for me. The room and the bathroom were very, very nice. And the pool on the rooftop… From there you see the Hollywood Hills, the huge LA and the skyscrapers of Downtown. We took breakfast on the roof every morning and while my wife was on the pool I worked on my Laptop (WiFi). The place is perfect for me!
The hotel has a great location and very friendly staff. At night, the area is very calm and safe, although it is close to all major attractions and only a few steps from public transportation (Metro). I will definitely book Le Montrose again for my next stay in la!!!
Location. Small bathroom. Small pool. Expensive parking.
The staff was really friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and clean. I had a nice morning relaxing by the pool on the roof. There is no place for self parking, the streets all require a permit to park between 7pm and 7am, and the valet is $40 a night.
Overall great experience. When you reserve, be sure to include their price to park ($40/night for us) when deciding if it's a good rate, there is no street parking. We had one grumpy restaurant employee who didn't want to send dishes etc.to our room because us eating our own food cost them business(he did send everything we requested). The front desk asked us if we got what we wanted and we told them we did but with a grumpy attitude. When we got back that evening, an apology card with a bread and cheese plate and bottle of wine were waiting in our room. That's the kind of service you can expect. $40/night for parking is high (community lots for retail space we're $24 for a day of parking). Definitely taking advantage of a kept audience. Otherwise, it's a good hotel with generally great service.
Location, clean Old fashion, so different than what u see in photos. Bad smell at hotel lobby and tmroons, elevators are so old and slow, pool so small and empty . Doesn't worth more than 150$ per night. I paid 280$ and on this price I could go to crown plaza Beverly hills or Marriott residence in , much better and nicer hotel!!!
that everyone had a smile on their face
We spent few days in this Hotel & we really liked it. It was very quiet, comfortable, very nice & spacious room, good restaurant, very nice staff, good position to go to the main places, good prices.Gay friendly. Hellen & Lorenz
It was not like the pictures online. The place is old, has a weird smell and has window air condition units. I could have stayed at a nicer hotel for the price.
Only there 1 night but loved it, particularly the under stated designer decor. Excellent breakfast.
size of the room Facet was broken and not fixed. Air conditioning did not cool back of room.
Location was great staff was wonderful. Walking distance to Sunset and San Vecentie. Nice suite, rooftop pool had a great view.. No self parking. Street parking by permit overnight. Valet $38 per night. This being said I still would have chosen this hotel. Just would have appreciated this information when I was deciding
Really cool hipster vibe Staff amazing friendly efficient made me feel very comfortable
Liked the lobby, free water and snacks. Great sunset view. Rooms were outdated and looked used... not fresh. So much potential.
Rooftop pool can't be beat, nice rooms, awesome staff, great location. Great time! Switched rooms because we had a room next to the elevator, where you can hear the elevator swooshing up and down all day & night. They were great about switching rooms and now we know to request not to have a room ending in "01" on our next visit.
I liked the spacious shower, and that they had fridge, micro and coffee in the room. We never had a chance to try the coffee shop, but enjoyed the stay overall. Didn't bring my bathing suit or I would have tried the pool. Our room was clean, comfortable bed. We would stay here again.
We really liked the restaurant at the hotel, so nice not to have to search for a restaurant to eat at. Great food.
GREAT LOCATION, AWAY FROM THE BUSY PART OF TOWN, IN NICE RESIDENTIAL AREA. PLACES TO EAT, SHOP AND EXPLORE L.A. NEARBY. FRIENDLY ACCOMODATING STAFF AND CLEANING CREW. EASY TO GET TO. NOISY DUMPSTER(S) SERVICES BELOW ROOM WINDOWS.
The hotel has a great location. The room was very bice and clean and we even had the view of the hollywood sign. Overall, very friendly staff and great place
Loved the location and being close to everything in Hollywood. The restaurant downstairs was also pretty good. Unfortunately, the Internet/wifi was down all morning until we left at our checkout time. Other than that, things were good.
I booked a stay in early February, more than 3 and a half months before my actual stay the the Best Western Hollywood Hills. Upon arrival, I was asked for a "voucher" and supplied my email confirmation. After looking over the email for 15+ minutes, the receptionist finally told me that they had overbooked the hotel and would have to send me to a partner hotel for the night. For my troubles, I was given 2 breakfast vouchers and my cab was paid for. The partner hotel was over 20 minutes away, putting me further from my location for the next day. The partner hotel was the "Beverly Laurel Motor Hotel" an extremely dated and generally unkempt motel. I was thoroughly displeased with this room, as well as with the adjacent greasy spoon diner. Had I known I was going to end up in this roach motel, I never would have booked through Best Western. I highly suggest booking through a different hotel, not worth the risk of being overbooked. In all fairness to the BW Hollywood Hills, it did appear to be fairly nice. Unfortunately, I didn't have the luxury of staying here.
Stayed overnight, we had to do somethng in the area and needed a place to stay close to our event. Everything went smooth,: booking, confirmation, check-in & check-out Nice place to stay in Hollywood, very Historical-Retro vibe.
place was very clean and good size room. The biggest restroom in any hotel in hollywood so far, comes in handy when sharing a room. Everything was close by and in a nice neighborhood. Would stay here again. You could hear everything in the hallway. But everyone staying on our floor that night was not that loud when walking through the hallways. I know that supply and demand is the way the hotel rooms sell but $180.00 + $20.00 for one night on a week day was a bit much for me.
Room and bed was very comfortable Shower is big but curtain is very small so it is cold when using the shower and the floor outside gets all wet
Loved the diner on the property. Food was fabulous!
I didn't expect the rooms to be as spacious as it was. The room was great, the staff was very helpful and the location to the boulevard was unbeatable. Also, it's located next to the best doughnut shop in LA Kettle Glazed Doughnuts.
We liked everything! The location was important to us because we were attending an event at The House of Blues, which is directly across the street from the Mondrian. The valet staff was amazing and our room was beautiful! Everyone who worked at the hotel was so friendly to us as well. I would definitely stay there again. It was a pleasure!!!
The property was clean, staff was excellent and the price was unexpectedly great given the 5 star level service. You have to pay for internet.
the room bathrooms are not the standard they should be
Very loud and overcrowded pool on Saturdays.
Staff was rude. Service was lacking
I went to visit a friend in the hospital who was in critical condition. During a difficult time, it was the perfect respite from a full day & night @ the hospital. It was close enough to the hospital but felt very far away due to the comfort, amenities (agua spa), staff, & restaurant. In a nutshell, if I ever mosey back to LaLa Land, I will definitely stay @ the Mondrian for a more pleasurable trip. I hope I get to enjoy the hotel even more next time. Carlos, the manager in charge of the valet & bellman, is an incredible example of above & beyond customer service....I couldn't thank him enough for being so wonderful.
Great location Someone broke into my room in the middle of the night and security couldn't find the person and the hotel charged me $1500 for the damages. I am appalled at the experience of this hotel.
Staff was friendly, good crowd, nice rooms, nice restaurants, nice pool, great bar. Expensive
Poor service from housekeeping Unaccomodating front desk and at Herringbone $500 stolen from
Cool ! L.A. from the TV ...Great !
EXTREMELY convenient location (near the freeway, Trader Joe's, gas station, and Walgreens), with plenty of great dining options nearby. Crab Boil Ave. and Porto's Bakery & Cafe were my favorite.
The hotel is in a good location, right off the freeway. The room was nice and big, and breakfast was quite good.
It was very clean and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The television was nice too. The coffee was delicious. The fact that I was given a room next to testosterone fueled college athletes. They were extremely rowdy, yelling in the halls and slamming doors. The guys in the room directly next to mine kept yelling so loud, it was as if though in the room with me. I was a little worried at first thinking they were arguing and that it would escalate. Luckily, it didn't go further than yelling and slamming doors.
No towel racks in the bathroom
I really enjoyed my stay. The staff was friendly and caring. When I checked in, I was talking with the front desk and i told her about my crazy travel day with canceled flights, she said I would like to buy you a drink. She called the bar and told them I would be down and the first drink, no matter what is on the house. Overall great place to stay if your working in Pasadena, Glendale, and Burbank areas. I had a great stay.
I was super impressed by the staff at the Hotel. Can't think of anything
I loved it. Don't like how pricey it was for one night but overall it was a good experience. The only downfall was the shower because theres no rail for the water to not get out of the shower! So water gets everywhere!
Restaurant was great Charge for parking
The location was perfect for our visit to the area and the comfort of the hotel. Having to pay $19.00 per day for parking.
The parking fair is charged on the card you leave on file. Self Peking however you are required to pay 18 dollars a day. Not a way we wanted to spend our honeymoon
Clean rooms and comfortable bed. Friendly front service. Gift/snack shop located near lobby. $19 a night to park in their garage & the parking spots are for small compact cars. The walls are thin and our room was across from the ice machine. Needless to say but I got little sleep the one night I spent there. For a Hilton I expected much more.
Very convinient hotel, close to Universal Studios, close to lots of shops and restaurants. Very accomodating staff. We will for sure be back. Just the parking fee.
Absolutely nothing. I couldn't wait to get outta that hotel. Everything. The staff-rude, non-friendly. Poor customer service skills, Experienced BED BUGS in the rooms, Rooms were not cleaned, Food on the floor-scattered- from previous customer, Toilets had urine & pubic hair all over, sink had toothpaste markings from others, Stains & Water damage on the walls--felt like a motel 6!! Not Embassey Suites at $200+/night!! Then having to fight for what's right to please the customer after horrible vacation experience. Ruined everything. Will never stay here again.
Large, inviting hotel with friendly staff and amenities to make this a comfortable place to stay for several nights. Filling, excellent breakfast. In-room wifi and manager's cocktail hour. Loads of parking under the hotel--with plenty of space! The two rooms feel separate---two TVs. This would work well for families I imagine. This will be the hotel I use when I return to Glendale.
Paying for parking
Location, staff, everything the hotel had to offer! One morning the power went out and we had to go down 12 flights of stairs to get breakfast, then back up 12 flights and back down again to start our day.
great room, space, and vibe Man in front questioned if I parked inside or not even after I told him I'm moving my car. I parked outside instead. I was also charged inappropriately for the parking
Check in was fast and easy, afternoon reception was nice: glass of wine and a snack. Free breakfast was great, so easy to go downstairs and get a bite to eat, I'm let station, bacon, eggs, fruit, cereal.. very complete breakfast with lots of seating. The room was also very clean, we had a view of the lobby but it was fine. The beds were super comfy and bathroom was large and clean. Location was easy to find and right off the freeway exit and 10 min from universal studios. The parking was $14 a day which is a little steep in my opinion. The power went out for about 10 min, but the elevators were out of service for 2 hours until one elevator was back in service, which made it difficult to take the luggage down. Other than that great hotel.
After my first stay, I was hooked and have stayed at the Redbury 2x per year for the past several years...rooms are spacious and the interior design is phenomenal. Kitchen area is perfect for breakfast and light snacking. Redbury is studio style home away from home, love it! Nothing!
the staff and room size no hot water for all three days
The professional, affable staff are worth their weight in gold.Maid service for daily cleaning is too laxed. I had my sheets changed only once during my six (6) day stay.
The room was large and quiet. Staff were very helpful. The location is excellent if you do not have a car and want to get around the city by walking, bus, taxi. I had interpreted from the website that the suite had a washing machine, but this turned out to be a laundry room in the basement for which we had to pay. The facilities in the kitchen area were poor and old.
Good location in the center of Melrose Ave. Very close to shopping area. Rooms are old. Bad value for money.
Walking distance to melrose Ave. No hot water in our shower we had to take a cold shower. For 400 dollars a night you should have warm water not ice cold water
It is cozy, the rooftop is a cool place to hang out Walls are too thin...stay in any room near the elevator and you will be up all night listening to it go up and down.
All the staff was very friendly and helpful. They went out of their way for you. The rooms were where you never really noticed your neighbors. I loved that it was situated in a neighborhood. I liked taking walks the morning and evening. Great restaurants within walking distance. I would definitely stay again.
Location. Very friendly front desk.Good size suite with excellent facilities ,well maintained Shower very weak and never very hot despite asking twice to have it fixed.Food -only tried room sevice once ,and breakfast once in dining room, both very very disappointing.DO Not eat there Dining room service appalling
Friendliness, Breakfast is superb, near everything. no
It was quite hotel
I did not like my stay at Le Parc Suites. My reservation was lost and it took a half an hour to check in. There was no hot water in my suite. The jacuzzi did not work and the pool area was unclean. I left a phone charger in my room and called the hotel to ask if they could locate it. No one would help me or return my call. When I called to discuss the matter with a supervisor he refused to return my call.
This is a nice hotel, very clean, located in the neighborhood -- within walking distance to great restaurants and nightlife, but not in the middle of it. The rooftop deck and pool are nice additions. The small gym contained everything I needed to workout during my stay. Parking. Parking in West Hollywood is by permit only; so street parking is not an option. Parking in the area is expensive, and the hotel only offers valet, which is $40 PER/NIGHT. $40 per night is an exurbanite fee to charge guests for parking and as much as I enjoyed the hotel, this is what I will remember most when considering a hotel in the area again.
Great, comfortable beds. Good turndown service. Cleaning woman was creepy. Came to our door multiple times per day to see when she could clean. She wanted to have 5 minute conversations when she came. Hotel was great other than that.
The location is excellent. There is no in room microwave oven. You have to call room service to have ice delivered to the room. The overall appearance of the hotel is run down. The elevator in the main lobby is out of service. They charge you for the internet/Wi-Fi connection.
Had a few issues with missing stuff. Still looking for stuff that shouldn't be missing? Very confused how my guests 'lost items' when only the staff was on location. Then poof it's gone. I did not. Care for the staff going in to the room often. And when a guest was sleeping the staff went in the room. Not very safe feeling. Didn't enjoy the feeling.

Just the outdoor restaurant Dirty room, old carpet...smelly sinks, comparable to a 2 star. Overpriced for the amenities and the services offered.

It is truly cool hotel in the best sense. A real oasis. It has 2 great pools, but they can be cold. Please get a hot tub.
The location is great: 8 min walking distance to the metro red line station and 12 min walking distance to Chinese theater. And its convenient to go to Universal studios. The rate is great: the space of the room is reasonable, including microwave, friger, TV and internet. The staff is really helpful and considerate. It's a wonderful experience for staying in The Hotel Hollywood. None.
Nice small hotel, just nearby of Hollywood Blvd. The price was nice too ($57 taxes included). Free (bad) coffee if you like. The young guy of the reception was very friendly. Noises. The town first. The hotel after. The trash ban of the neighbor building was just near of my windows and that's horrible. If someone take a shower on early morning, or make sex, that will wakes you up, sometimes at 5am.
The staff was helpful, while the location was near to the hollywood street where you can go to walk of fame in few mins , it was not also far from METRO / Subway so u can use it to go to Universal City/Studios i can hear ppl on my next room speaking , the breakfast wasnt good at all ,you need to keep your eyes wide open
Dustin, the manager, was the absolute best from beginning when I called on the phone to the end. Room was comfortable, clean and totally affordable. Great location. I would definitely come back. There was a bit of mildew on the shower curtain.
Comfortable bed, good wifi, fridge and microwave in room, large shower, coin laundry in basement, close to hollywood boulevard and Kodak Theatre. Staff unhelpful and lazy, room was serviced only once in 4 days, toilet got blocked and staff brought plunger and asked if we wanted to unblock it ourselves. Room not soundproofed, woken up early 2 out of 4 mornings by garbage collection. Breakfast very basic and included only bagels, coffee, juice & fruit. Hollywood in general is not a nice part of LA, we felt unsafe walking outside at night - we were even woken up by someone being arrested nearby.
The best thing about hotel Hollywood was the excellent service and friendly, professional staff. General wear and tear of the room.
I enjoyed the simplicity of it all. Great location. Quiet, clean room in the middle of Hollywood. Limited number of rooms. No frills. Quiet, effective airconditioning. Great reception.
Location, staff, cleanliness No Elevator
It is close to the main streets and you can find restaurants easily nearby. I would say that this is an excellect motel with its value. But they close the door at night and you have to call the manager to open it when you first arrived (and, in our case, the stuff was just sleeping and we have to wait for other residents to come back and open the door for us).
Price. You pay for what you get, thin walls and the guy next door busting out to Halo and talking on the phone during all hours of the night.
the situation. Really close to the Hollywood bd and universal studios Not really clean but ok
