Situated on the shadow of Mount Kilimanjaro, Africas highest Mountain, beside a copse of giant Acacia trees and gently flowing natural spring. In the clean, crisp air of an Amboseli dawn, the snowcapped peaks of Mount Kilimanjaro shimmering in the southern sky, can be seen on a clear day.Set against the magnificent backdrop of Africa's highest mountain, the glittering Mount Kilimanjaro, the luxury Amboseli Serena Safari Lodge enjoys a uniquely privileged position at the heart of this world-famous national park.Secluded within a grove of acacia trees, the safari lodge looks out over the golden savannah plains, with uninterrupted views of the mountain itself. Close by are a series of emerald green swamps, which are fed by the melting snows of Kilimanjaro. These, the only sources of water in this otherwise starkly beautiful but arid park, attract huge numbers of wallowing elephants, hippos, buffalos and plains game. Meanwhile, from the prehistoric site of Observation Hill, the sunset over Kilimanjaro is magnificent. At the centre of Maasailand', the lodge's dcor reflects the brilliant primary colours and iconic shapes representative of these legendary warriors. At the heart of the lodge, shaded by palm trees, is a free-form swimming pool; to either side of which stretch the rooms. Each room is housed in a single storey building opening directly on to the grounds, each reflecting a Maasai manyatta theme: each with its own hand-painted wall frescos.
Pros: Everything is good. Very good experience!
Pros: I bet their chef is really a great guy, I love the foods everyday, they can do variety everyday, especially deserts looks very beautiful.

Pros: The room was super comfortable, staff were very assistive and friendly and all meals were sumptuous, filling and with large offering variety. The staff can SING VERY WELL! The environment was very peaceful despite improvement works. Definitely going back.
Cons: Camp-organized Game drive vehicle was rather uncomfortable and nearly broke down.
Pros: - Location next to the gate - Each tent have their own private entrance (our was facing the bushes) - Massage was great - Accomodation and food included for our driver - Animals to see around the camp
Cons: - Internet didn't work all the time
Pros: The tented accommodation was very well set up and met all of any travelers needs I.e it was clean and well maintained. The food was very simple , yet fresh and delicious. The highlight for us were the staff and in particular Jacob and the chefs.
Cons: Not critical but I would have liked a safe in the tent.
Pros: Nothing at all. Property is over rated.
Cons: Everything. Property is over rated.
Pros: Beautiful setting close to the Amboseli gate, lovely staff
Cons: It is a large camp with many tents. Unfortunately we had very noisy neighbours who partied all night, even after several requests from various other guests to be quiet. Reception was closed when we tried to ask for their help in the matter. When we told the person in charge in the morning that we had hardly slept because of this all we got was that he was very sorry.
Pros: The reception was very good and staff are very warm. Cleanliness is well maintained and food is classic. The location is strategic with nice view of Mt. Kilimanjaro.
Pros: The food was excellent as were the tents and the restaraunt, pool and bar area. The location is a good one but be prepared that it is outside the gate to Amboseli so when you exit is can affect your park entrance fees. There was a spectacular view of Kilamanjaro from our tent front porch and it was very peaceful.
Cons: The WIFI was terrible which also caused problems with their credit card machines. The massage I received at the spa was a good price but not very good technique.
Pros: Loved the room--we made a lot of use out of the deck overlooking Kilimanjaro. We are, however, wondering which room had the great view in the pictures (our was obstructed by a huge tree). Staff were amazing! Another positive is location...less than 10 minutes from a gate into Amboseli.
Cons: Breakfast times were inconvenient (it's a buffet). We like to be in the park when the gate opens at 6 am for best animal activity so breakfast hours between 6:30 and 9:30 are inconvenient for safari goers. Breakfast should start at 5:30. Also, we don't like eating dinner late so starting breakfast at 9 or 9:30 pushes lunch out and then dinner becomes a very late meal (we like to be somewhat hunger for meals).
Pros: Where do we start... The breakfast was amazingly delicious especially the pancakes. Be sure to try the maple syrup on it. the staff were so friendly and the personalized attention we got was really good. the view of the mountain as the sun rises makes for a memorable eye candy sweet to always remember. the rooms are as you see in the picture but with life and warmth that can't be explained.
Cons: The proximity to the Amboseli National park would have created a better opportunity for the Camp to do night drives and picnics/ dinners in the wild. Maybe this will come as the place grows.
Pros: Environment, food
Cons: The pick up fee is 50$ each person from kimana to Kibo . So we took a taxi that only spent 20 $ for a car. Kibo is not friendly to free travelers .

Pros: Atmosphere was serene
Cons: Would love to have a Better view of the animals
Pros: The food
Cons: Communication pre arrival I thought was good however when we got there Everything felt very disorganised. Trips booked through sentrim staff but on arrival day was told to pay the safari guide in cash as he was outsourced. Facilities: Everything half broken, in need of serious maintenance.
Pros: The view was totally amazing (although not from the tent), the lovely garden and pool, the coffee was magnificent, Khephas - the cleaner was superb, the staff were all friendly and nice
Cons: The electricity problems caused quite lot of complaints. The owners should get that fixed. Right in front of our tents were big bushes and trees grown together in a messy bundle. Such a shame that we could´nt see the mountain from our tent. They should be cut down.
Pros: Staff was amazing!! Always prompt to to help and find solutions to my requests. Food was really good and the installations were very enjoyable, perfect to relax, walk around and have an amazing view on the Kilimanjaro. In particular Makau Daniels, who would always answer immediately my messages, attend my requests and would always show sympathy, offered a great service thoughout my stay. And also my guide, Peter Njoroge who would always know everything about every single species in the park and is experienced enough to find them and keep a safe drive. Thank you all!
Cons: Found a lot of bugs in my bedroom (which is normal, because we are in their habitat, but at the same time stole a bit of my sleep), fan didn’t work and shower was a bit old and stained. Therefore I would say price is a bit too high for the condition of the bedrooms.
Cons: It was a nice place but I not realy felt welcome. It's s more like mass tourisme.
Pros: The plants around our room are very plentiful. They have a view point for the Mount Kilimanjaro. The stay was private and quiet. Shower was very hot. Foods are very good.
Cons: Staffs always meet my requests which was very good. But I think the front desk person is lack of smile. Which make us don't feel very perfect. The bedding is just ok but its clean.
Pros: Food was really good and tasty , especially to the vegetarians coming from India. Best place for stargazing . It was magical to see so many star constellations. The walk to the viewpoint of Mt.Kilimanjaro was good. The camps was really good and accommodative. Overall it was a good stay for us.
Cons: The bathrooms can be more clean. WiFi service was just okay.
Pros: Spacious rooms and right in the cradle of nature.. balcony with a view of Mt. Kilimanjaro. What more could you ask?? Great food, great and helpful staff. Value for money!

Pros: The staff were fantastic
Cons: Very hard mattress on the bed. Food was just fair. Gardens were in need of some work. In general the whole place needs a bit of upkeep.
Pros: very close to amboseli national park, the rooms are in good standard
Cons: same price but some rooms have better standard. Only one place has WiFi. Cloudy days there is no hot water to shower.
Pros: Great swimming pool, nice cosy rooms.
Cons: Wi-Fi just at the reception area.
Pros: Croissants very good, we loved them. Beds very good and comfortable
Cons: Lack of activity schedules to inform clients eg when massai dance starts and ends
Pros: The location Near the park
Cons: The need to improve the ambience
Pros: We were delighted with AA Lodge. We stayed in one of the cabins and they were so nice. The cabin was modern, well decorated, clean with a small seated veranda outside. The cabin was well sealed so no insects were able to get in. I proposed to my girlfriend here as we watched the sun set over Mt. Kilimanjaro, it was perfect! We are now engaged and will never forget AA Lodge, Mt Kilimanjaro and Kenya!
Pros: The food was excellent
Pros: Great location, 10 minutes away from Kimana gate.
Cons: Food was very average. Bedsheets were not clean. Needs renovation. Very average value for money.
Pros: Location is great
Cons: Food, service (asked towel and wait for 2 hour... finally I had to pick up at reception)
Pros: 1. Electricity was on the full time unlike some other lodges where they cut off power at specific times. 2. The lodge is OUTSIDE the Amboseli National Park so the mandatory park fees didnt apply. 3. The lodge arranged my tour guide and van. 4. Food was average except the fish fillets which were delicious. The best thing is being a devout Muslim, food was haalal. 5. Items in the the souvenir shop also is reasonably priced. 6. The room was very spacious and was facing Mount Kilimanjaro. 7. They have an evening show every night just after dinner.
Cons: 1. No hot water as it was cloudy. Apparently the hot water system is solar powered. 2. Very less lighting in the room which made everything look very gloomy but its understandable because we are middle of nowhere and getting electricity in the first place is a good thing.
