Cons: We were woken up at 2:00 in the morning by an intermittent drilling sound or electrical static coming from the combination cock/phone apparatus. I had to get out of bed, battle a tangle of electrical cords and, finally, climb under the bed to unplug the thing. At 2 in the morning. Getting back to sleep was a challenge after all of that. All management had to offer the next morning was, "So sorry." I'd avoid the place like the plague, not only because of the facilities issue, but, also, the indifference of management.

The hotel is nice, it is set in a period building with lots of charm. I was very pleased with the staff they were very polite and accommodating. The hotel is in a prime location as well. It is within walking distance of much of what Bath has to offer. I would surly stay there again.
Pros: The staff are wonderful and most accommodating. They helped me with several issues I was having on my journey.
Edgar Townhouse offers a great location, putting you within just a 10-minute walk of The Holburne Museum and Bath Abbey. Free perks include English breakfast and WiFi. This Georgian bed & breakfast is also within just a 10-minute walk of Roman Baths and Theatre Royal Bath.
Pros: Very friendly staff, clean comfortable rooms, fantastic modern bathrooms, central location, delicious breakfast.
Cons: Right near a very busy bus drop off, but the hotel itself was surprisingly quiet and always very easy to access.
The Abbey Hotel sits right in the centre of Bath, on a wide pavement that was designed as a fashionable promenade by John Wood the Elder in Georgian Bath. Our location is only a few strides away from some of the city's most iconic visitor attractions, the Roman Baths, Bath Abbey and Thermae Bath Spa, sports fans will also be keen to know that Bath Rugby ground can be seen from the upper floors of the hotel and as if that is not enough we are less than 5 minutes' walk from Bath Spa station.
Cons: car park was under construction yet they still charged us for parking down the block in the overflow lot. it seemed like a lot of the breakfast items were leftovers. eggs were out of a box.
Cons: Hotel under remodel no parking close to hotel one parking lot 15 min away
Pros: Clean and spacious rooms, the staff were all lovely and very helpful. Free wifi in the rooms was also good.
Cons: The breakfast wasn't particularly nice and needed more space to pick what you wanted as kept getting in the way of others picking theirs. Also the big pile of rubble outside the hotel didn't make it particularly appealing.
Pros: Location within walking distance of the city center
Cons: Small room. No wash cloths in bathroom. Charged us an extra £60 per night for a third guest. Sleeper sofa was very uncomfortable

Pros: Centered around a medieval courtyard with stone paving, this is a wonderful old inn with an unbroken history dating back over half a millennium. We had only booked one night, but were so taken by its charm and history that we stayed for a second night.
The inn is convenient to both Bath and Stonehenge, as well as many other sites in the area. Rooms were clean and well appointed. Headroom was limited on some doors (I'm 6'3") and some bathrooms were cramped, but all were nicely fit in without detracting from the original look and feel of this ancient inn.
Breakfast was a hearty affair and service was excellent. We only dined at the Inn one evening, but the food was well prepared and nicely served.
A number of walking and bridle paths cross through the village, and the one evening change ringers were practicing in the local church.
If you are looking for a romantic getaway in a truly old inn with modern conveniences, I can't recommend any place more highly that this.
Cons: There was very little to dislike here.
If you decide to go, you need to understand this is an authentic old inn which has been fitted as a modern hotel. Doorways can be low and some facilities can seem cramped, but all of the work has been done very well so as to preserve the look and feel of an old inn while providing modern amenities.
