Parking off property and expensive
Perfect location tucked away in the centre of town, close to the cathedral and main shopping area. Hotel was quiet despite being very busy. The lobby was beautifully fragrenced. The staff were friendly and helpful. Housekeeping was prompt and efficient. There was a small fridge in our room which was invaluable, as well as a small safe.
The hotel is modern and stylish but sadly some of the furnishings in our room were a bit worse for wear- the curtains stained, the chair worn and a sofa that was worn, marked and tatty. I guess the hotel is well used, so whilst the room was fundamentally clean, it was tired in parts and ready for an update.
We have booked the suite with balcony not knowing about the laser show: it is astonishing! Lasts 30-40 minutes every night and worth every Penny for the suite. Also we liked the hotel’s restaurant a lot - will be a nice choice for dinner.
Location and service.
Dinner could be improved.
We really liked the central location and quality of the hotel. So close to the cathedral and easy walking distance to other city attractions. We can't say enough about the staff at the front desk who helped us through a medical need for my wife. They were so helpful, especially Caroline! Breakfast spread was very nice. We extended our stay an extra night, we liked it so much. Room was very comfortable and amenities as expected. We highly recommend Mercure Amiens Cathédrale and we will stay there again for sure upon our return to Amiens.
Not a thing!
Located in the heart of Amiens, just 54 yards (50 m) from the cathedral, which is a Unesco World Heritage Site, and 15 minutes' walk from the train station, the Mercure Amiens hotel is the perfect destination for business or leisure. The historic Saint Leu district, the floating gardens and Jules Verne's house are all just a stone's throw from the hotel.
