Quiet location, good for honeymoon, good for second honeymoon. Too much orientated towards German visitors. Evening meal timing too early.finishing.
Very cheap for singles. Quiet and calm on most nights compaired to the other two hotels at camp de mar. The food was ok, but could easily be more varied
Nothing. there are many answers I would like to give to all those questions that do not appear on this questionaire. would like to see some drawers and mirrors in the rooms other than just on wardrobe doors on the way out
Next to the beach, great boufet and spa facilities
The food was excellent, and the location wonderful. Very relaxing. Friendly staff. The beds were very uncomfortable and the room and bathroom in general a bit outdated.
Dining staff and bar staff make this hotel with their warm hospitality and general helpfulness Reception staff need customer training; difficulty with reservation. The hotel claim to have changing facilities for post check out yet provide no towels or toiletries
food , quality hotel.......clean very german orientated ......only two english in hotel no effort made to converse with us entertainment all german........
Good location, food, good service, comfortable, nice hotel Nothing
Very friendly staff. Excellent breakfast.
The location - would go back tomorrow for another stay...Camp De Mar is wondeful. Staff in the hotel were very friendly, restuarants in area great - was a wonderful break. Do not think this is a 4 star hotel but would still stay there again. The rooms could be upgraded - shower screen instead of curtains for example, internet in the rooms would be good.I booked and gave American Express card as details - imagine shock when we got to check in at the hotel and they did not accept Amex or Diners - watch out for this. Fortunately we did have a Mastercard as well. Having said all of the above, we really have no complaints and had a lovely few days at the Lido and would go back again without hestitation
The staff, closeness to beach and restaraunts No - it was just a great place to stay
The hotel has an excelent location, the staff are friendly and the hotel is very clean. Although the quality of the food was generally good it was often only warm rather than hot.
The food let the hotel down, the choice for vegetarians was very very poor.
Good location on the beach No parking - street parking was a bit of a lottery as the hotel is also next to a golf course. A four star rating was probably given on the basis of a gym and "spa" facilities. It's really more of a very good 3 star.
Great location, nice view, nice evening show. Beach is very close to hotel. Good breakfast! Elevator was not working sometimes; not pleasant staff in restaurant; no possibility to eat at night time; all inclusive stops after 11 pm
Quite and comfortable atmosphere inside and outside the hotel. The beach and the sea is fine. The service is on rather high level. During our stay there was no negative impressions
Excellent room & sea view / good buffet breakfast No
Sunshine! No it was all perfect
Frindliness of staff. Spacious rooms. Good location, near beach and golf resort. Very nice breakfast (included in price).
Staff charming. Great breakfasts. Superb facilities Reception staff very helpfull but let down by repeatedly ignoring requests for items that had been omitted by cleaners. Room not cleaned when returing late one afternoon. Had to shower off with wet towels. Hotels accepted fault and made adequate compensatory gesture. Meals very very expensive.
Location is good. Good for golf. Rooms smelt of smoke, phone was broken. No room service menu / hotel guide in room. Noisy - you can here the rooms next door. 100% German - staff will assume you are German.
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The room we had was very comfortable and a very good size.Plenty of space.
Everything was really wonderful at the Dorint: from the breakfast to the swimming pools and the spa, to the comfort and space of the rooms, to the well decorated public spaces. We just didn't tried the food at the restaurants of the hotel, so we cannot provide an opinion on that. Personnel was extremely attentive. The thing that we've liked less during our stay, was the fact that the beach nearby (5 mn walking) was not that wonderful, especially because it was too crowded (there are two rather large hotels in from of the beach); the Dorint should have a reserved area on the beach. But if you have a car, it's not a problem to reach easily other much nicer beaches.
i had booked into another hotel for five days and moved to this hotel. This hotel is great during the off season. In peak season, i cannot imagine anyone staying here, as there is only room at the pool for about 20 people. The beach nearby is so small that with all of the people staying in the area, there is not room for a peaceful holiday.
Breakfast quality, quietness Restaurant service after ordering meal
It was an amazing mixture of friendly stuff, excellent service and a familiar atmosphere Well, generally everything was excellent, but to be honest: You do not recognize that you are in spain - to 90 % germans ...
Very clean and staff very conscientious
good modern hotel within 1 mile of town centre good pool area good breakfast
The location the hotel lay out and the peace and quiet.
Excellent staff, good facilities, good food, clean rooms, modern hotel. Not enough sunbeds.
Good location and facilities. Buffet dinner was a bit sad. Not much selection and really ordinary
i was only there for 1 night but the hotel was clean and my room lovely i had a junior suite and breakfast was excellent
Hotel's staff is very kind to kids.
location was excellent beside the port and the facilities were great, pool, bar and room service. had to get a taxi from airport which cost 50 euro. Not sure public bus would be easy to get there by.
Great food, reasonable prices, excellent facilities
Convenient location to Port Andratx and it's harbour restaurants, quiet location, relaxed atmosphere and well maintained garden/pool area
The view was fantastic! We had a room overlooking the harbour. The receptionist/owner? to the hotel seemed to be very unwilling to help us with anything. Everything seemed to be troublesome for her.
View of the harbour from the bedroom window.
The location was excellent and there was car parking available. The breakfast terrace and the restaurant on the waterfront were very good. The small beach and swimming area in front of the hotel was an unexpected bonus. The hotel has a certain old world charm but is also a bit run down and could do with some refurbishment. There was no air conditioning and only a small and very noisy fan. Noise form a nearby establishment on the Saturday night/Sunday morning prevented any sleep. I would have preferred to have paid extra for a room with a sea view which might also have been a better room generally?
comfortable room satellite TV that worked correctly - friendly welcome and stay the hotel was excellent - especially the location - breakfast was very good - I stayed a whole week - but another time I would have a shorter stay as there was not much going on on the evenings - unless you were very well heeled and could eat at the excellent restaurants every night I did stay at the hotel tora in Paguera with your company , again very good value holiday as it was half board quite good food and comfortable room - no satellite TV - or it didn't work - but plenty of reasonable restaurants and more going on in the evening.
This was a basic but comfortable and very clean hotel in a good position. It is still family run and has a rather endearing nostalgic feel. The rooms were large and airy and some with a great view of the harbour, even those at the back without a view had balconies. The breakfast was especially good. All was extremely clean and great value for money. I felt well looked after. My kind of hotel ! There had been error with the booking , I seemed to have booked one room twice,( I will contact Booking.com about that) but after some insistence they did not charge us. The beds were a little hard and as a non smoker I was aware of a lingering odour in the room, perhaps not smoke but a combination of that and cleaning products . It needed airing ! My shower was also rather out of control liberally spraying the bathroom with water.
The Brismar is in a beautiful position our room having a view over the whole port. The staff were friendly and very helpful it was a very comfortable hotel. We had one problem and that is the bar which is next door but we only had one night when they had a live act on and the noise went on into the early hours of the morning.
Basic accommodation at an excellent price. Beautiful location, good breakfasts.
Wonderfull view , must book front room with balcony, a little extra to pay but worth every penny. Hotel built in 1950s and it shows in places, ignore this and enjoy.
The location is perfect and having breakfast overlooking the port is heaven. The Brismar is a family run hotel, with old world charm, not glitzy but it works for me as a base.
the food was some of the best ive eaten ,also the staff could not do enough, and what a location the rooms at the back of the property are in need of an update as are the pool and spa areas
Beautiful room - excellent, rapid room service and lovely serving staff. The restaurant food was absolutely wonderful and a very romantic setting. Good breakfasts too and a nice pool and pool deck and roof terrace. The hotel is very cool and stylish and authentic. There are lots of steps! - not great for someone older who finds stair-climbing a bit tough. The lift is positioned quite high up on the terrace.
The service, location and dining. Poorly designed room (unable to place the chair under the desk as it is too big !) , no double bed(two singles pushed together do not = 5 star accomodation), poorly designed bathroom (no where to hang either/or your used towels or bathrobe, no where to put your store suitcases or additional luggage.
The views and location were stunning. It is extremely attractive and well designed. The port is a matter of minutes away, though some of the rooms might be inaccessible to infirm or disabled clients. We had to request a copy of the hotel directory, after we discovered the number for reception by calling out of the window to a passing member of staff. When we asked for tea, coffee, and milk, in order to use the kettle and cups provided, we were told that these were not included. Surely guests should not be expected to pack such items for a stay in a 5* hotel?
The hotel was elegant, well designed, and quiet. Great sea views, easy walk to Port for good restaurants and shopping. Also access to the sea for swimming, and a fabulous restaurant- for breakfast and dinner. Best of all was the staff - everyone was warm, professional and non intrusive. They made us feel at home, so much that we extended our stay for five days, and didnt want to leave. Now that's a holiday! The stairs -- there are alot of stairs to climb, but its good exercise. There was an elevator but we didnt use it.
The staff were very welcoming and friendly, and the food was excellent!!
Peace and quite, good atmosphere, exclusive facilities No
Fantastic location and very friendly staff
Food was of a high standard Rather pricey
An unrivalled position Some furnishings were beginning to look tired but we know that a new proprietor is undertaking substantial work to rectify this.
