9.0 Excellent
Cons: Feather pillows would be a big i.provement
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything. The room, the location and above all the staff.
Cons: The availability.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I guess you get what you pay for - the location is right in the heart of Old Florence, so not the cheapest place to be - all of the sights are literally on the doorstep within 5 mins. The hotel itself is beautifully decorated and clean - whilst not a big hotel in terms of public/lounge areas they are all very well presented. Our room (205) was at the front of the hotel, not the biggest but very comfortable and again very nicely decorated - lot of attention to detail. It had a large bathroom with a Jacuzzi corner bath and large separate walk-in shower - again all very tastefully decorated in marble. we also had a free minibar and a complimentary drink in the bar. All of the the hotel staff that we met were incredibly welcoming and helpful throughout our stay - making it feel that bit more special. Would definitely return to Spadai for another stay.
Cons: The only downside if there is one is the Happy Hour offered in the bar each evening 6 -8:30 - buy a drink and enjoy a "free" buffet, after a day out sight seeing etc we decided to give it a go - the lesson for this is get there early! The quality of the food declines as the evening wears on, some of the early birds had clearly put food aside for a midnight feast from the better offerings. Not compulsory to attend so not really a big issue...

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was exceptional. I really felt like I was staying in a 5 star hotel. Everything in the hotel seemed to be new and I cannot find a single thing to complain about. I also loved the small touches like the gratis mini bar and bathroom accessories.

Pros: The breakfast is very good, although expensive. I'd advise including the breakfast in the price of the room when reserving.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: It’s a beautiful hotel in a great location. It was easy for us to walk everywhere we wanted to see.
Cons: The bed wasn’t very comfortable and the shower was in the bathtub.
6.3 Good
Cons: My kids dolce and gabbana tshirt disappeared in the hotel
9.2 Excellent
Pros: This hotel is absolute class. Apart from a disappointing room view even though we got an upgrade everything else was pretty perfect. Breakfast was top notch. The staff were wonderful from Julia at the front desk to Yuri and his colleagues at concierge.
Cons: Room windows faced a side street building wall instead of the city. Although we received an upgrade from a deluxe room to a junior suite we would've still preferred our deluxe room with a proper city view.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I have experience a lot of luxury hotel , but in this hotel I found them very helpful .The second night for me in the hotel I had an emergency case where my son chocked with food I called the reception and they were there at my door step helping me out like one of their family member I appreciate that . And recommend it to all my friends.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Entire staff was fantastic! They were helpful, personable, and very knowledgeable! Hotel is lovely with a great location! Room was very comfortable...we had an amazing time there!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very comfortable and quiet. Especially like the Winter Garden bar and restaurant. Daniel a particularly good waiter.
Cons: Nothing of note. Just a special place .
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Lovely high quality Hotel as expected from a St Regis. Staff fall over backwards to help and nothing is a problem. Restaurant ambiance was nice and the food was excellent. Restaurant staff were superb. The room was comfortable although the bathroom was a little tight
Cons: The dress standard in the restaurant was poor with Americans wearing baseball caps, training shoes, running shorts and T shirts during dinner. Not acceptable for a 1* restaurant. It certainly wouldn’t be allowed in any other Michelin stared restaurants I’ve been to.
7.5 Good
Pros: The room , location and concierge
Cons: No one is picking up the phone

Pros: Expensive though, direct view on the Duomo. Couldn't be better. Parking on site. Luxurious rooms & breakfast. Will definitely revisit.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: An utterly fantastic historical hotel in an amazing location. We got upgraded for free to the Royal suite as we were on honeymoon. It was like a dream come true! Will definitely stay there again and recommend to anyone going to Florence.
10.0 Excellent

Cons: ?
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Upgraded for free and the room is gorgeous! The location is perfect as well
Cons: Nothing
7.1 Good
Pros: Location is great. Parking is available. We had the Deluxe Suite with views directly to the Dome.
Cons: Poor breakfast, poor coffee. We stayed for one night for a short city break so in the end not a big problem, but for longer periods it would be a no go. You would expect real espresso machines and not with capsules in such a place and friendlier staff. There was a constant noise in the room from some equipment.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: There was a good variety of food available at breakfast. The provision of free tea and cakes during the day was a nice touch. The location was excellent with the cathedral just across the road from the bedroom window. One can therefore watch sunrise over the cathedral from the window. Most of the tourist sites are within a short walk. Despite the central location, our room was remarkably quiet. The concierge booked a very good restaurant nearby and made sure that we didn't end up in an over-priced tourist trap on our first day.
Cons: There was a lovely bath in the room but there was no door or enclosure. Therefore, one has to take a bath in full view of one's partner: fine if you like that sort of thing. It is rather petty but the bread rolls at breakfast were rather dry.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Our room was number 9. The oldest part of the hotel. It was a 16th century palace. The view from our living room and bathroom was the view of the Duomo. How can it get better than that. It was lovely to be greeted with a glass of Prosecco after traveling by train to get there. The location is ideal to everything you would want to see in Florence. Breakfast was excellent, desk staff and housekeeping excellent. They have turn down service too if you like.
Cons: Wi fi was a little slow.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We fell in love with this place the minute we checked in. Attentive service and very beautiful suite. So clean!!! Definitely will return here.

Pros: The location is nice if you don’t mind being a little bit away from the center. It was lovely having a rooftop view with a bar.
Cons: Unfortunately the top floor bar was not reachable with an elevator. Half the rooms look out onto the wall of the building next-door, no view at all.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was a gorgeous hotel great location
Cons: Nothing
7.7 Good
Pros: Our room faced the river m, such a beautiful view. The room was nice & very clean. The concierge recommended some excellent restaurants.
Cons: The street noise is loud at night, so either ask for a quiet room some where or bring ear plugs. The staff working the breakfast each morning could be a lot more friendly.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: We loved the location over looking the Arno river and close to the city & all the sites . The view from the rooftop was wonderful. The service was amazing .
Cons: Parking is extra & is expensive €42 per night . Breakfast is a buffet, we ordered omelettes but it would be nice if this was an option & maybe pancakes for children

Pros: Servis
Cons: Nothing

Pros: Friendly staff, great facilities, and a great location!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Property and location were fantastic
Cons: Nothing
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The location was incredible (2 minute walk from the Duomo and no more than 10 min walk from every major attraction in Florence) The rooms were great but one of them had a very small shower in an otherwise spacious bathroom. The gym is the best you can find in any hotel in Italy and although we didn’t try the Spa i’m sure it’s excellent. The staff was very kind and very professional and the hotel provides valet parking (at an extra charge) which was extremely convenient in the cramped streets of Florence. Overall we had a great experience.
Cons: The shower in the Double/Twin room is way too small. I found myself consistently hitting the wall or the glass door trying while showering. Also the price is a tad bit steep considering the building is very old (although renovated).
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything,
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location, the hotel and the staff especially the receptionists
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is a beautiful hotel right in the heart of Florence. It is steps away from the Duomo, but tucked away so that it is quiet and seems to be off the beaten path...perfect location! The hotel is beautiful and the staff is attentive. The lobby is very comfortable, lots of attention to detail. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable. The breakfast is lovely, with many options.....something for everyone. This is our second stay at this hotel and we will return. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Marvelous place! Very elegant design and medieval age decoration. Located at the heart of the city.
9.7 Excellent
Pros: The staff at Helvetia Bristol could not have been warmer and more accommodating during my four night stay. Their warm welcomes and spot-on suggestions were greatly appreciated. I love this hotel and will definitely return. It is a historic boutique hotel (don't expect large rooms). The location cannot be beat in central Florence.
Cons: The rooms are small and in need of a little love (new carpet).
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Good breakfast and warm staff, also location is fine
Cons: Hot water is not really “hot” in the bath
5.1 Okay
Pros: Cappuccino. Staff was understanding.
Cons: The rooms next to the street are noisy because of the late night bars and at this time of year you can't have AC in the rooms because one system works the entire building. If you are hot or uncomfortable you have to open a window which just lets the noise in. Street cleaners, and trash service comes by at 5am which is nuts! Breakfast was blah...Single room was a closet and horrible shower. Im in shape and didn't fit in the shower.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location, 5 min. from all the main attractions. Very nice staff and clean and comfortable rooms.
Cons: The bathroom was small, the breakfast area was too crowded. During our stay there was a renovation work and some noise during the day.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Nice historic hotel.
Cons: The room we got did not have a window to street. The room charge was calculated without actual extras. The breakfast restaurant was quite small and the breakfast was overpriced (€35 pretty person). Surprisingly for me the reception charged my bank card in USD and I got extra FX losses of €100 for 2 nights. They promised to reimburse them but I am not sure if it will happen - I have no paper for that.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was good
8.8 Excellent
Pros: This is a beautiful, classic hotel, sumptuously appointed, but not over the top. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The staff is wonderful. The breakfasts are elegant. (Best croissants of our trip!) The location is perfect, close to everything. Wonderful in almost all respects, BUT . . .
Cons: The hotel has a problem with noise, especially on the Via del Pescioni side. We were on the second floor, and disturbed during the night by revelers in the street, but especially by the very loud noises of service vehicles starting about 6 am. The hotel must be aware of this, because they provided ear plugs (!) by the bedside. (We should have had the wits to read this ominous sign.) They moved us to a room on the other side for our second night. Avoid rooms overlooking the street! Also, there is no coffee machine in the rooms.
8.8 Excellent
Cons: Bad wifi
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location is perfect. 10-15 minute walk to everything, but quiet location. Service like one does not find anymore. Worth the money.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: location staff was really helpful and friendly
Cons: internet is slow room was too small for this price
9.6 Excellent
Cons: As 5 stars hotel they should improve breakfast because it was very poor, no eggs, no tomatoes, etc...

9.2 Excellent
Pros: This was our 3rd staying in the hotel.. This time we booked 3 rooms ranging from suits to classic Location: was the main reason I booked this hotel Close to everything. Staff: starting with the ever so friendly and professional door men; Mr Eugenio, Mr Hassan, & Mr Rafael- very helpful & in spite of the heat had a genuin smile through out the day. That goes for the lovely ladies and gentlemen in the reception as well- tolerating obnoxious guests.. Note to guests : please carry your own hand bags- you look tacky walking with a person trailing behind you with YOUR own hand bag! Breakfast: decent selection and very attentive staff.
Cons: A 5 star hotel with a rather pricy rate, the rooms could do with a little bit of an uplift decor wise. Also if a guests has a birthday or a special occasion like we had (my mothers birthday) it would have been nice to have a complimentary bouquet of some sorts.. we bought one but having mentioned in advance that it was a celebration it would have been a thoughtful touch :)
8.3 Excellent
Cons: Bathroom door didn’t lock fully
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location, very friendly staff, great room and comfortable bed. Helpful advice on tourist attractions. Would go again.
Cons: Breakfast was good by Italian standards but the buffet could have been more generous.

9.2 Excellent
Pros: The breadfast is excellent, and the room is spacious and clean. I am so surprised that the staff give me a birthday cake during the morning breadfast buffet session. This make my day! Thank you very much
9.1 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is beautiful. Great location. Cosy. It reflects Florence at its best. The staff was great, friendly, helpful, knowledgable about the area, restaurants, shows. We had a great time.
Cons: Our only complaint is Florence is a noisy city at night and that requieres windows that are soundproof. If they change this, its a 5 star for us.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Renovated in a way that respects the history of the building. My husband was ill the last day and the staff were more than helpful offering their services.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Convenient location and great property
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was great! We were in walking distance to all of the major must see attractions and incredible shopping. We were fortunate to have a room with a fresco on the ceiling which was amazing. Although we were on the first floor, we heard very little noise from the street. The staff was great and very helpful. I would definitely stay again.
Cons: The cost of the food was high. 50 euro for a couple to eat breakfast was not an appealing option for us. Instead we opted to eat at one of the local establishments for less than 16 euro that included 2 breakfast sandwiches (large - we could have actually split one), a cappuccino and a bottle of water. Would recommend sampling
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very central location, very close to all the attractions of Florence such as Ponte vecchio and uffizi gallery. Plenty of shops and eatery nearby. Very friendly staff. The breakfast was excellent. Room was big and with Coffee making facility. I would recommend this hotel.
Cons: Wifi a bit slow
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Just amazing location, bang smack in the middle of Florence, just minutes walk from literally everything. We had a comfortable stay. The staff were super friendly, especially Maria on reception. The rooms are equipped with everything you need. Spacious for a city hotel and the hotel itself is very small with no amenities but for comfort and style and location, it was great. We did not eat in the hotel but restaurant is small and you will need to book. There is parking with a private garage at £30 per day and that includes the ZTL charge.
Cons: Absolutely nothing. Great city stay.
9.7 Excellent
Pros: We stayed in three hotels during our trip to Italy, and this was our favorite. Very centrally located, a short walk to all the museums, etc. The staff is extraordinarily helpful and sincerely friendly. The room was gorgeous, the breakfast the best we've experienced in a long time. We'd definitely stay here again if we returned to Florence.
Cons: A tad cold, even though it was in the 90s outside. Had to turn off the AC. That did the trick.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The entire staff was outstanding! Excellent location. Great breakfast buffet. Fast wifi. Would definitely stay there again!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything ! The location was excellent, a few steps away from the Duomo Firenze, very helpful and attentive staff, breakfast buffet with various fresh product (cheese, yoghurts, warm pancakes, tuna, fresh juices and many more!) , the room ambiance and elegant design , the welcoming Champagne in the room... definitely returning to this hotel next time ! ♥️
5.4 Okay
Pros: The breakfast is excellent, with a very large dining area and lots of selections. The location is also very good, with easy access to the Duomo.
Cons: The rooms are tiny by any standard, with so little room between the beds and the walls that you can barely walk beside them. There is no room for a bidet in the minuscule bathroom, and the shower is so small that I had to open the door to be able to wash myself (and I'm not a large person). Rather than being an elegant hotel, it is a strange mix of some contemporary elements atop an old hotel that is in disrepair. The service is also rude and unhelpful. I couldn't wait to leave and will never stay there again.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: top location, few step to duomo. excellent service!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic location. We walked everywhere in Florence that we wanted to go: Duomo, Uffizi Gallery, David, Ponte Vecchio, etc. The staff was exceptionally helpful and gracious. The room was sizable and very clean. Breakfast was terrific.
Cons: For the money we were paying, the bed and pillows were not very comfortable, but I’ve certainly slept on worse. Our bed was two twin size beds pushed together.

7.7 Good
Pros: Great breakfasts, Very comfortable bed, Central location
Cons: A bit difficult to find when walking from train station. Room was too warm for my taste. Unable to regulate room temperature. Opened window, and then got a lot of street noise from adjacent busy street.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful, large rooms. Attentive staff. Excellent breakfast. Excellent restaurant.
8.2 Excellent
Pros: Outstanding Service. Particularly Concierge (Sergio) and Front Desk. Moderately satisfactory gym on site Very good buffet breakfast and great service. Sound of the chimes of Duomo Great sound proof windows which could be opened if desired
Cons: Location too busy for us. Right in the very middle of heavy tourist area. Some people like that, we don't. Small room but that is standard in European city. However, shower was so small that it was almost impossible to maneuver.

Pros: Location of villa was beautiful. Room was lovely.
Cons: The gentleman who checked us in and showed us to our room seemed very visibly uncomfortable dealing with a same sex family.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A hidden gem just outside of Florence but close enough to enjoy what it has to offer.
Cons: Everything was lovely.
6.3 Good
Pros: Originally a Villa, the grounds, views, hotel itself and rooms are beautiful, chic, interesting, color and fabric choices well done.
Cons: While the breakfast is very good, the restaurant should be avoided at all costs. Uninspired dishes, outrageous cost for the delivery, vacillation between presentation but tasteless results or moderate satisfaction destroyed by total lack of value. Our dinner was completely dissatisfying and cost way more than our previous 8 dinners at hotels and restaurants in Florence - also at other properties with overnight prices both higher and lower than Il Salviatino. Wait staff and later front desk staff refused to remove dishes sent back to the kitchen, inedible. Stay but do NOT eat there. Just minutes away there are many great choices in the city or in little nearby Friesole. As an aside - if you like cold rooms, then you will not be happy with the subtle air conditioning which appears to not work very well. “We can hear that it is on when we turned off your music system” the staff told us. We slept with open windows.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: We have stayed for 3 nights and we totally enjoyed our time, the peace in this place was beyond expectation, the staff was really friendly and welcoming, you feel like you are living in your private palace, the garden is the best of everything and the location over looks the city.
Cons: Some of the furniture was older than expected, the elevator was small and old, breakfast options was less than expected but the cooking was good. I think the garden deserve more attention it’s such peaceful spot. We will be coming back to this place for sure.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The terrace rooms were majestic, we booked two rooms, one with a door to the garden and one without. The one with the door was great, cuz you get some air, the other one felt stuffy as there was no window to open.
Cons: The fone!! The extension to room service didnt work! Kept calling operator, and there is no fridge in our room.

The bed and pillows were amazing.. the style of the hotel was modern and funky. Breakfast was a good selection of pastries and continental. Would recommend this hotel to all.
