Excellent location in front of S bahn that brings you into Munich in 20 minutes and to the Starnberger See in 15 minutes. Very good price quality balance. S Bahn starts at 06.00 AM and if you are a light sleeper if might wake you up. It did not disturb us at all.
Biggest asset of this hotel is the nearby station of the S-train that takes you into the centre of München in about 15 minutes (Eur 4.80 one-way) while, at the same time, the hotel is located in the middle of wooded countryside. Best of both worlds.really.
Pleasant location, close to our business location
very quiet and comfortable room, albeit no air conditioning, but it was cold so it didn't matter. Would definitely return.
Beautiful location adjacent to Grunvald castle. Lovely food but expensive. If you have difficulty with stairs, request a room on a low floor.
The hotel did not have a lift and the train station nearby was only a trem station and not an main station
Breakfast very good.
Very nice hotel owned nowdays by Italian family. Clean, cosy, comfortable. Excellent view! Highly reccomened!
Extremely friendly staff makes you feel very welcome. Outstanding restaurant.
Nothing particulary . We've chosen the hotel because was near train station and, comfortable enough to reach Munich's Oktoberfest Fest . We've stayed to the hotel without having problem.
The staff was excellent. Rooms were clean and had everything I needed. Breakfest was A-1. Close to Munich and at the same time close to the mountains. Beautiful Kloster at the bottome of the hill. Wish I could have stayed longer.
Very curteous and sociable staff. Excellent service. Very good breakfast. Free WiFi Noisy Trucks delivering goods to supermarket below Hotel in early morning.
Lovely evening walks adjacent to hotel ...... but unfortunately it rained all of the two nights I stayed! A supermarket is located beneath the hotel but does not cause any problems whilst being convenient. Not many local restaraunts and they close early.
welcoming invirement, friendly staff, great location: close both to munike and the country side, good restaurents and the river isar nearby. breakfast - the buffet was a little poor.
Within walking distance of train to Munich. Grocery store (Tengelmann) below hotel. Friendly and helpful staff. Free parking and wi-fi access. Perfect place to stay while visiting Munich..you get the quietness of country side, with the convenience of transit to Munich nearby. Vielen Dank für einen unvergesslichen Aufenthalt ! Hotel is above a grocery store, so deliveries can be early and noisy if room windows are open (I used earplugs so not an issue for me) . Small bathroom (which is to be expected in Europe).
Peaceful surroundings, 7 mins to metro stop, good breakfast, large room. Noise from neighboring rooms. No personnel available after 18h.
Clean and quite.
The hotel was a short walk to the train station. A very pleasant suburban town. The staff was not around at night. It was easy to hear people coming in late at night.
The price was good and the hotel staff was nice and well organized. The hotel is far from the city center. It takes 10 stations(~ 35 min.) to go from the nearby S-bahn station to Marien Platz(the city center)
The rooms are very generous in size with very nice bathrooms. This hotel has been designed with great attention to detail and to guests' comfort. The breakfast is the best continental breakfast I have ever eaten. We chose the hotel because of its proximity to friends, but our stay here turned into an altogether very enjoyable experience.
A real beautiful hotel in the Bavarian country near the city of Munich and well connect by train. The hotel staff was really kindly..
Good food, convenient for train station, attentive and helpful English speaking staff, checkout quick and efficient. Over all a pleasent stay. Lack of English guide to room facilities (TV, phone services, fire escape) ground floor front room was noisey both from traffic and drains.
Eating my evening meal upon the veranda over looking the Forest and the Alps was the highlight
a new, well equipped facility with a good restaurant. Not too large. Handy location.
using the wireless connection of hotel Seehof! no internet (hotspot), in the summer this room was above the terras (very noisy)
Buffet breakfast was great Low rating on value for money because all hotel prices were inflated just during Oktoberfest - not just this one. Normally it may be good value
Good location, Good Restaurant, and good service
Completely refubrished room and bathroom. Furnitures chenged to new. Clean enviroment. Good heating. Strong and fast Wi-Fi connection. Good parking and 1 min. by foot to the S-Bahn line to Munich. Homely variety breakfast, but it's ok.
free internet, good restaurant, excellent access to train towels , bathroom accessory
The Hotel offers free internet access through wi-fi upon registration (with maxpost.de). Bandwith is good and wi-fi signal is strong everywhere. Rooms are big and beds are confortable. The breakfast is not particularly rich, but in line with the budget cost of the hotel. Rooms are generally clean, carpets and furnuture are a bit aged.
Close to business location where I was working
The hotel is very comfortable and the hotel staff is very friendly and helpful.
Very close to the S5 train. Gets you into city/tents (Oktoberfest!) within 30 minutes. Very convenient
Small hotel with relatively big clean rooms and very friendly and helpfull staff (they understand English but not extremely well). The breakfast is good and contains bread, cake, cereal, some cheese and meat, jam, yoghurt, orange juice, coffee and different kinds of tea. The food for diner and lunch is also quite good and not at all expensive. There is a tram (Sbahn - S8) just behind the hotel. It takes aout 45min to the centre of Munich and 1h30 to the airport (direct line).
Secure Parking, Excellent organic breakfast. Large room with good shower and comfortable bed.
For me the location was good, because I had business to do in that area. That was the only reason for choosing this hotel. Prices were up, I think, because of Oktoberfest. The hotel, with its wooden floors, is rather noisy. The bed quite uncomfortable. I could change to another room, but that one was very small, so I stayed in original room. No amenities, no regrigerator, all extremely spartan. Breakfast basic and this hotel is hugely overpriced. For a lower price, it would be okay.
Dining My room
very friendly staff and nice atmosphere It was during the oktoberfest and the prices were incredibly high, given the quality of the room
The hotel staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the hospitality, and the beauty of this traditional hotel, restaurant and gardens. We were initially given an attic room, during an unusual heat wave. As is the case in most of Germany, there was no air conditioning, and the room was intolerably hot. However, the owner was very understanding, and placed us in a room that was cooler. He was very helpful.
Professional staff. Helpful too. For example, showed me in person where the garage was and how to activate the lock. The shower leaked water all over the floor (flawed design) which I had to mop up with a towel.
Easy access and freedom to come and go Not a complaint really but during the quite hot weather an electric fan would have been an advantage
Large and clean rooms. Parking and WiFi with strong signal available for free. Breakfast can be improved. No credit card accepted.
Nice service, good breakfast and low price. I think there is nothing to add. Basically hotel is rather old but it doesent matter... I was satisfied, no complants.... -----------
Wifi free and breakfast. No credit card allowed!
