Staying at VM1 Hostel was more than accommodation – it was an immersive journey into Thai local culture. From the vibrant murals that painted the walls to the warm hospitality of the staff, the hostel embodied the essence of Thailand. The communal spaces were buzzing with a diverse mix of travelers sharing stories, and the cozy rooms provided a comfortable retreat. What sets VM1 apart is its strategic location, nestled in the heart of the city, making it a perfect launchpad for exploring local markets, street food stalls, and hidden gems. The hostel's unique design and atmosphere create a sense of community, fostering connections among guests. The staff's local insights and recommendations added an authentic touch to my travel experience.

The bed was very hard, according to some reviews. However, the room was quiet, had good AC, good WiFi, and a good location, with a lot of street food vendors outside.

The property is SUPER clean and the downstairs is a lovely space. It’s actually super quiet too and there’s more than enough toilets and showers for everyone.

The accommodation is located at Soi Pahonyothin no. 1 which is closed to every transportations to all over Bangkok and nearby provinces. Although the manager does not do her job to check the 7-night customer's request, the other staff can change it to a good situation. Applause VM1 hostel. Sleep well by personal dark-no dust curtain of every bed. The restroom and shower are separated area so not noisy, easy catch up from sleeping room. The ventilation is well prepared. Impressive place and your original staffs.

Good location near BTS and great street food right outside your door (& a few streets down). If you’re looking for an option outside of the Bangkok tourist craziness, this is it. Lobby was nice to work in during the day, but was sometimes disrupted by the staff playing loud TikTok’s or movies on their computer. Private rooms were very private. Overall a fantastic hostel for the price.

If you're a light sleeper, consider requesting a room away from the street to minimize noise from the road.

Take advantage of the variety of street food stalls just outside the hostel for a taste of local cuisine.

Some guests mentioned that the hostel can get noisy at times, so packing earplugs might be helpful for a peaceful night's sleep.

Make use of the game room available at the hostel for some indoor entertainment and relaxation.

If staying in a private room with a private bathroom, ensure that the water heater for the shower is working properly by testing it upon arrival.

If you have heavy luggage, don't hesitate to ask the staff for help as there is no lift to the premises.

Spend time in the large common area with coffee and tea, and engage with the wonderful staff for local insights and recommendations.

Consider booking a private room if you prefer a quieter and more private space, as some guests found the dorms to be a bit noisy.
