Easy to find, good parking facilities and the size of the room was very nice.
We thought there could have been some form of food available at 9pm on the day of arrival and the room could have been warmer. However it was a bitterly cold night.
Very generous sized rooms and excellent breakfast. Clearly an old converted manor house with great character.
The place, the old manor, and the welcome of the staff
the rooms are fantastic, bed was just so warm and comfortable, quilt is the best i have ever experienced in 24 years on the road,
breakfast left a bit to be desired, asked for sausage, bacon and tomato and got just that 1 of each on a massive plate ?? next time will ask for 2 of each
Just bstayed 1 night. The room was spacious and clean with pleasant decor. The bathroom beatifully clean and the shower perfect. Breakfast was included and excelent quality. Would definately stay again
1. Atmosphere was welcoming and comfortable right from the start when food was available at 9:00 pm when we arrived! 2. The staff were without excellent - approachable, friendly and helpful; 3. The accommodation was spacious, well appointed and comfortable. 4. In the Dining Room at breakfast and especially at Dinner were attentive but unobtrusive.5. The whole experience was first class.
excellent evening meal
Staying in one of the cottage rooms there was little hot water in the evening and none in the morning, the staff did not really handle it well, basically saying the boiler was empty as a reason, I received £10.00 off my bill when I asked to speak to the manager but hot water is an absolute basic and the quality of the staff in dealing with it was not very efficient at all - a real shame.
Beautiful, comfortable bedrooms, a lovely hotel in general and beautiful setting. Very good staff.
Very friendly staff, excellent room, very comfortable
Set menu didn't give much choice, and even if you only wanted one course, you had to pay for two.
Very nice atmosphere
