The cafe wasn't open for the free breakfast.
they closed consumption area / bar without any pre alert. thus very few common area to stay for reading a book
The location is great. Close to the subway, central in the city. Easy to the airport. Wonderful neighborhood to wander in. Lots of local Beijing food and culture in every direction. The dorm rooms for 6 people include a bathroom!
There was no good public hangout room
Overall, it was a good stay. Convenient location for the price you pay. Beds were comfortable and wifi worked good everywhere.
Separation between your room and the ensuited toilet was like a huge window, which doesnt give you much privacy. Unfortunately, we had a chinese old guy in our room who used to smoke everytime he used the toilet, so the room got really smelly. Asked for some food recommendations at the hostel and they told me that there were plenty of options in the blocks nearby (?) maybe I was expecting something more specific!
I love the location of the hostel. We did not have a hard finding it since it is close to the metro. The staff is approachable and nice and we love the single room we booked.
I just hope to improve the heater system in the room area since it is really cold and the comforter is not enough to fight off the cold.
