The parking facilities and access was very good. The room was comfortable enough, although it was too expensive. Although we did not travel by train, persons who do will find that the train station is convenient to the hotel. Going into the restroom facilities, the high step up is very dangerous. Many people who have a hard time walking can get hurt. The meal plates are very poor whether they are for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Large clear plates are necessary and important. The view from our hotel room was not the best. Of course, it was pouring down rain on the day we left, so it was nearly impossible to have a great view of the City.
It was comfortable, and was really in a good location for shopping. Nothing to note.
Well situated, clean, lovely rotemburo Maid did not complete room care and left the door unlocked during her service of the entire floor.
The location was the best part of this hotel. The room smelled like cigarette smoke and the bathroom had a weird smell. It just didn't feel clean
The quality of service at Yamada Bessou exemplifies the Japanese art of hospitality. This is a beautifully designed ryokan in the heart of Beppu that feels like a country inn. Yamada Bessou has served visitors for several generations and now Lumi carries on the exquisite tradition of her parents. We liked everything about our stay at Yamada Bessou.
