The decor was lovely, the staff very helpfull and friendly, and the food was wonderful.
Beautiful construction with typical German Black Forest decoration that includes several paintings by local painter Hans Thoma. Friendliness from everyone; from the owner at the reception desk to the waiters at the restaurant, to the personnel cleaning the bedrroms. Excellent food and wine (Antonio can make really good recommendations regarding wine and liquors). The place is cosy and "gemütlich!" Nothing to complain about!
Excellent family driven country side hotel. Very friendly staff and a great restaurant with excellent German food. Good value for the money. Nothing to complain about.
The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The room was incredibly clean, and I felt right at home. It was nice to have a restaurant just downstairs. The food is quite good. I had some forelle and my first piece of Schwarzwaelderkirschtorte, which were both excellent. I unfortunately missed the breakfast because I had to begin hiking by 7:30 to make it to the next town. It doesn't start until 8am. All in all, a really great place that I would recommend to anyone.
This is an excellent Black Forest hotel, with friendly, efficient staff, spacious rooms ( we had a balcony with a lovely view )and very good meals. It is a good centre for touring the southern Black Forest and for walking. It was excellent value for money. Our experience was very good - I think it would be difficult to reach without a car, but we did not try local transport.
The Hotel is nice and has a good view on the village The weelness area is very short. The damfpad is old. Few places to rest near the swimmingpool and no place avalaible during the week-end. The dinner costs 29,5 Euros. Price per night too expensive
Only one word necessary to describe this hotel: wonderful! We stayed here for a short break. They have a large wellness offer (beautytreatments, massages etc.) which we enjoyed very much. Beautiful swimmingpool and sauna. Quiet hotel, fantastic wellness food, good service. We will come back! No remarks!
Very friendly and helpfull staff. Eye for detail in every sense and personal attention by owners to guests selection of sauna facilities could be slightly extended for a hotel under Wellness logo
many possibilities for spending leisure time, close to a ski lift, nice swimming pool ski storage room
Good location in hiking/traveling area. Good atmosphere. Budget price. Good restaurant. The view from our room was dull. Several facilities like a whirlpool were missing. Not enough elevators.
Friendly staff, easy access to ski lifts, comfortable beds, rich breakfast, fun relax activities Smoking room is not enough ventilation, I feel stale air. There is no turist book or liflet for the foriner tourists with English speaking, what they should see or how to reach on Schwartzwald's attractions and places, hotel facilities, events etc.
The Hotel DIANA is very quiet and you can repose. The swimming pool and the sauna are very pleasant. It is near a Lidl. They did not change the "draps de lits" for 5 nights! The hotel is expensive for a 3 "étoiles".

The hotel was very close to the Ski lifts. The dinner was superb. Also, the hotel staff was very respectful towards being allowed for travellers to have pets with them.
Extremely clean and nice! Great staff and great food! Fantastic dinner!
The hotel is in a beautiful and quite place, with wonderful sigths to the Feldberg summit and the Titisee. Its situation is perfect: close to Freirburg, Belchen, Feldberg mountain, Triberg and Todtnau waterfalls, etc.
The pool is nice. The staff are nice. There is nothing to do after 8pm. No bar. You need to walk to a nearby pizzeria on a busy crossroads. Pricey for what it offers
Room and bathroom were big enough and clean, nice swimming pool, good breakfast. The prices are too high for the quality of the hotel.
Very nice location, friendly staff Swimmingpool not supervised, noisy, choice of fodd restricted
The people were great and the food was fantastic. The bed was too small.
Good location, local activities and reasonable facilities in the hotel. Very good food and service and friendly staff. 4 Stars have been given due to the presence of spa type facilities but these, while clean and in good order, were minimal. Pool was very cold and sauna's very small. Rooms were clean and tidy but also small and barely comfortable. This is a 3 star hotel at best. Hotel was difficult to find. Despite fairly good local knowledge we resorted to two phone calls to the hotel. Notscherei does not appear on road maps and is not recognised on Sat Nav. When booking on the web site there was no option to request a third bed for our son. On arrival they were surprised to see a fifth guest, despite out telephone request to hotelroom.com, this could have been averted if the hotel phone no. Or e-mail address had been included in the listing.
great location. Easy access to winter sports and walking. good swimming pool
i liked the pool and restuarant no
It's an excelent central point for starting excursions around: walking in the Black Forest or in the lakes around, Rhin falls, Friburg, Basel, etc. The personal in the hotel is very kind and gave us useful guidance about the best use of our time and the facilities, like free public transportation in the region.
This hotel was very over priced .The room was very small and dark and we had stayed in other hotels at this price and this hotel was not comparable. It was also very remote with nothing much around .
The room was comfortable and clean. The breakfast was very nice and the hours for serving breakfast were perfect (available until 10 am). The hotel was convienent to the village. No soap or washclothes provided, but this is typical of european hotels.
Breakfast. spacious room. It was difficult to find the restaurant for dinner.
Quiet place, in the country, very nice. Breakfast good. Missing soap in the room.
Staff was helpful. Provided information freely.
German "Gastfreundlichkeit" must have its origins in this hotel. The friendly owners really did their best to make us feel at home. The dinner was a real treat too. Highly advisable to anyone looking for a relaxing stay in the Black Forest. Lovely hotel off the beaten track. Will stay there again.
we liked the room much it was big and confortable fpr 2 adults and 2 kids. There was family felling in the hotel.
reception approach. room arrangement. foods.
Extremely friendly staff and very good catering As we arrived by car it was a small problem finding the place.
It is a modest hotel with very nice and helpful staff. The decoration is authentique and beautiful. Restaurant(s) have very good quality/price ratio. Good choice for those who do not expect a lot.
The room, facilities were excellent as was the restaurant (even though we only got to use it for breakfast as they do not open it for Mondays) The shower drain was blocked and meant you had to have really short showers.
We had a huge family room, which was like an apartment. The breakfast was very good, and the area was beautiful. Our children loved the place. We loved all the little details around the room and the hotel. They spoke English. We were very pleasantly surprised with our experience there. We would definitely stay there again. They didn't get our notice that we needed an extra bed, which wasn't too much of a problem, as they had a long couch and brought up an extra comforter & pillow upon our arrival. Also, there was no soap in the room.
We especially appreciated the service of the owners who where extremely helpful and nice. The family room was well equipped with living room, 2 separate bedrooms and a spacious bathroom . The hotel is definitely recommendable.
We had a room with a balcony facing the mountains, parking is easy and the hotel is easy to find. It is located in a small town and everything is within walking distance. The hotel is a little dated but our room was a good size.
The staff was very helpful with directions and tried their best to answerall our questions in English.
we enjoyed our stay, breakfast was good, the pool and the sauna were excellent/ Cooler or Ice were missing
The pool, Sauna etc were nice.
Location. The view in room 218, with the little balcony. The rooms facing the hotel next to it might get the horrible noise they play all day long and they would have no view.
Good service, clean, functional. Excellent food Small room, and very average breakfast
Very nice country side hotel. Very good service. We also enjoyed the restautrant which had very good German food. Not much to complain about.
Good food, great location, excellent pool and leisure centre. Good walking nearby.
extreme clean rooms and excellent food
Wonderful friendly welcome & advice re available activities.
Very friendly staff, laidback, good food, great place
The high rating of this hotel is really deserved. Staff was like family, relax, very friendly and helpful. I really adored the place and for a relaxed weekend I certainly return to this hotel
Friendly staff, tolerance towards pets and clean an comfortable rooms. Price/quality was excellent! Nice breakfast and good food too!
What a great hotel! My family and I, including two young children, recently stayed at the Landhotel Sonneck and loved it! Everyone on the hotel staff was helpful, friendly and took a personal interest in making our stay an enjoyable one. Excellent restaurant (the staff even printed an English menu for us). Highly recommended!
very good stuff , nice room and good location. in room good mattress , but small pillows
staff is very freindly - speeking english , graet location .
Friendly employees, tasty breakfast with homemade products. Neighbourhood boring in April
Very calm and beautiful place in the middle of the black forest, close to the Titisee lake (10 min by train) and Freiburg (50 min by train). The staff was really kind and the restaurant very good, with German typical dishes. If you depend on the train to travel around please note there is one train per hour. Anyway you can buy a ticket for the whole day and the train station is a five minutes walk from the hotel.
Friendly [family run?] hotel with English-speaking staff. Comfortable decent-sized room with balcony. Restaurant in hotel though we didn't eat there. Excellent breakfast. The bathroom though clean and in good working condition, looks very old and had a weird smell when we arrived. But no big deal, easily rid of by opening the windows.
Half board was very good.
The personal was very friendly, the room very beautiful, and the service very well. To recommend much!
Nice views, great room layout, clean, bright the room was large. It took us over an hour to find it!
Good position, helpful staff, very nice dining room and good food.Situated in a very attractive village.
The sevice and food were excellent. It was excellent value for money and I would return in the future.
