Lovely couple who run this B&B, very approachable, friendly and chatty. Breakfast was really good, cooked well, and hot. Choice of cereals also, and the coffee was spot on (I'm proper fussy with my coffee!!) Excellent location. I went mainly for a visit to Winter Gardens, and it was a five minute walk, so all shops/town centre are literally on the doorstep.
I wasn't keen on the en-suite toilet and shower area. To access, you have to step up into a kind of self contained unit which is made of a shower cubicle material - this houses the toilet, sink, shower and a small vanity unit with mirror. Mine was missing a shower curtain, so whilst showering, the toilet was getting soaked. Shower power a bit low, but it was explained to me that the higher up rooms do suffer with low pressure. This didn't stop me having a good hot shower! The evening I entered, there was no hot water what so ever in my room (and ladies in adjacent room said the same). Fortunately i didn't plan on showering, but if I had I wouldn't have hesitated to ask for assistance
Cosy room, good proximity to amenities, good breakfast, good staff.
Room 8 - No bathroom mirror, bathroom shaving light not working, toilet seat not fitted correctly.
