Big rooms with nice tub and strong AC. Nice view.
The location is very remote, the breakfast was burnt, and the WiFi didn't work.
Views are fantastic
No restaurant. No bar only vending machine for water etc.
Staff, room, view all incredible
No WiFi. Difficult to travel to because rains do not run late to location, not the hotels fault at all though.
Nothing that I can mention
The room facilities were below poor or none, no WiFi and the cleanes was very bad. None of the staff actually seem to care about your comfort... there was a lot of musquitos and other insects in the room which basically didn’t allow us to sleep the whole night. We had a booking for 2 nights but actually we coudnt stay more than a night, as the shower and bathroom were not clean even to the minimum acceptable level. I should say that on top of what I said there was some really scary noises of fire works or gun shoots which we couldn’t specify what exactly it is, but it made it impossible to sleep!
We stayed for two nights Our room (No. 2) was charming and well equipped and extra large to match the size of the bed - bigger than king size - the main living area contained a large bath and still plenty of room for a cosy dining table and space to spare. Plenty of storage space and best of all was the attention and help of the proprietor and staff who were only too keen to make sure we were comfortable. Breakfast on the balcony/ terrace was huge, fresh and very tasty, arriving exactly on time as requested and with the spectacle of Vesuvius above was quite magical. The gardens are definitely worth walking around as they are extensive and very beautifully maintained in a natural manner. The ducks are very friendly too.
The location of the hotel is excellent but the roads approaching it are a bit of a challenge if you are not familiar with the tiny streets and lanes and one way systems. I’m not sure I would have found the hotel so easily without the GPS in the hire car. We arrived in the evening and were surprised that the hotel did not have a restaurant but the staff were able to order in a couple of pizzas which hit the spot. Recommendations for local restaurants should be heeded as there are not many in the immediate vicinity but again the staff directed us well to the “The Old House”, a small, family run cafe, bar, sea food restaurant which was excellent quality and inexpensive with the owner personally collecting and returning us to our hotel without extra charge. The WiFi in the room didn’t work (temporary problem, I was assured) but that didn’t matter as the WiFi in the lobby was still good and essential communications were achieved with the help of the staff.
