Pros. Let me check in early- great location and view of park- friendly staff- Great burger and chocolate cake from room service
Cons. street noise loud through old windows
Pros. Complimentary umbrellas. Located across from the park -- beautiful view out our window! Excellent room service menu. Concierge helped us get a table at a popular restaurant that was "booked", and also got our tickets for the Freedom Trail. Window seat at breakfast was lovely. Bed was super comfortable with the best mattress and pillows I've had in a hotel in a while. Room temperature was perfect. The water pressure in the shower was perfect, which I often notice it is not in older buildings -- especially on the tenth floor!
Cons. I wish the down comforter had been more substantial. Not surprising, but the food prices were over the top. The doors slam shut making it very loud when the "neighbors" come and go.
Pros. The location, fantastic. Bed very comfortable. Breakfast very tasty.
Cons. Mold in bathroom, dirty chandeliers in hallways. It could be lovely with a few cosmetic touches and upgrades. Outside staff more interested in talking to each other than greeting guests.
Pros. Location was prime.
Cons. Accommodations were underwhelming for the high price. Also attempted to contact the Concierge 3 times to arrange a special birthday flower arrangement for my wife. They never called me back. THREE TIMES.
Pros. We had a room overlooking Public Garden and it was great. Nice view during the day and at night. Hotel is on Newbury Street and close to nice shopping, good restaurants, Beacon Hill - lots to do. Afternoon Tea is wonderful.
Cons. We had a suite and they charged us $25 for rollaway bed for our daughter - tacky.
Pros. The proximity to the park was ideal for my 12 year old golden retriever. She loved all the attention she received in the lobby. The staff were very friendly and accommodating even during the holiday crush. Highly recommended.
Pros. Leah at the front desk was amazingly friendly and attentive to our needs!
Cons. Car service no longer available. Rooms are getting old and a tad musty
Pros. The staff are excellent, the rooms very comfortable and the location is perfect, close to the T and right on the park.
Pros. A shower with black mold is gross, even if it is marble. The clock made funny noises about 2am. It wasn't the alarm, maybe a failing battery backup, Thought the maid fixed it, but nope. Only solution was to unplug it. Mentioned it when we checked out. On our last day we left the room for the day we left the AC on to keep the room around 68 deg, imagine our surprise when we returned at 7 pm the room was 87 deg! The AC was no longer functional, and per the "engineer" they sent up the only solution was to open windows. As a result we got to listen to the large air handlers all night. The last day we decided to try the breakfast buffet, the food was okay but certainly not worth the $25/ea! The best thing about this place is the location.
Pros. very large room, comfy bed, large bathroom, access to Boston highlights.
Cons. nothing!
