10.0 Excellent
Pros: The outstanding professionalism and courtesy of the staff. The comfy and beautiful room! With all the extras amenities included. Absolutely clean. Loved the soft and comfy beds and the mini bar in the room was a plus. The location can't get any better. By far the best place I have stayed in N.Y. It was worth every penny we paid
Cons: Everything was amazing!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Great location.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff from Management - Giovanni, to Front Desk, Concierge and Bell/Doorman - Alan, and the rest - (sorry for the lack of names, but will never forget all the smiles) were all so very accomodating, caring, kind, resourceful and friendly. Location was amazing.
Cons: Water pressure could use a bit more umph.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Giovanni and the rest of the staff are absolutely wonderful!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It’s location and Alina of course
Cons: Nothing
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was clean and comfortable. The beds were great. Staff very friendly. Good tapas restaurant.
Cons: I’m not a big fan of Times Square. If you like Times Square the location is perfect.
6.8 Good
Pros: Loved the location. We were able to walk to several places we wanted to go. Room was comfortable - beds extremely comfortable. We had a room with 2 kings. We were on the go most of the time so we didn't have much contact with the staff. However, they were friendly as we came and went.
Cons: Didn't like the automated lights in the bathroom. They were set to go off after a few minutes so we ended up taking showers in the dark! I would have preferred not having a fully stocked mini refrigerator. Also wasn't thrilled to discover that I was charged $20 AFTER we checked out and left. We didn't consume anything from the refrigerator or the snack basket so I have no clue what I was charged for additionally.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Location, nice and friendly service
Cons: lack of daylight, window directed to a completely dark yard
6.8 Good
Pros: Convenient location. Clean.
Cons: Room had a view of a wall and that wall appeared very close so no sunlight. Rooms were also small which was somewhat expected.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location right off Times Square! Made it really easy to walk to shows, shopping and several attractions. Right next to Bryant Park and Whole Foods...bonus! Also quick access to the subway. The hotel is a small, boutique type hotel. It does have a restaurant but we never ate there. We had a junior suite with a king bed and sofa sleeper. Family of 4 with 2 kids so it was great.
Cons: The rooms were nicely appointed and very modern but just be aware there is no door to close off the sink area of the bathroom from the rest of the room, so if you have an early riser the others in the room won't be able to sleep in very well. There is a frosted glass sliding door that closes off the shower/toilet room from the sink area, but it does not diffuse noise or light very well.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Rooms, comfort, location
Cons: Nothing to complain
citizenM New York Bowery - New York - Building
2
9.2 Excellent (2,757 reviews)
Overview Reviews
With a stay at citizenM New York Bowery in New York (Bowery), you'll be within a 5-minute drive of Washington Square Park and Union Square Park. Featured amenities include a 24-hour front desk, multilingual staff, and luggage storage.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location and very funky hotel. The rooms are well equipped and well formed.
Cons: Nothing all good.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Absolutely amazing location, fabulous rooftop bar, great lounge area, friendly staff. The room, while small, is well designed so you can slide all of your belongings under the bed. Loved the art concept. Would definitely stay there again.
Cons: Some of the high-concept tech didn't function properly (swipe-card door keys, check-in, sometimes elevators), so it can seem a little gimmicky. The staff was all very friendly, but some were clearly more experienced than others. None of these things would stop me from staying there again, however!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: This is a good location for the Lower East Side. Especially, if you are interested in the shopping in that area. It is walking distance to all pop-up shops and many street-wear stores. The metro is also across the street.
Cons: A little bit too trendy. Many people were visiting just to go up to the roof top bar. The downstairs bar got crowded at times and it was hard for the bartenders to keep up. Not a lot of food options, either.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The view, the room, the lobby, the bar, the breakfast, the roof bar, and the employees were kind.
Cons: The roof bar was a bit overcrowded.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Super clean, brand new. Amazing view from rooms. Lovely rooftop bar
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Tucker was awesome when I checked in. He went out of his way to be helpful when I checked in and is clearly the kind of employee that should be in some type of management position. Thank you Tucker. Dana Rae
Cons: One of the guys at the front desk had an attitude when I cam back in in the morning after taking my dogs out. Asked me what I was doing in the lobby - Staying here dude! DUH. Take some lessons from Tucker. Just a boy trying to feel important. Sorry Dude-----just the truth.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Everything else! Decoration, the view, the smart room, service, self check in and out. We loved it!
Cons: I think that for what we pay they could include breakfast.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Cozy, comfortable and unique room. So comfortable it was tempting to just stay in and lounge. Excellent location. Lobby and common area are amazing!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location is brilliant, it’s close to many restaurants, bars and great nightlife in general! The hotel is lovely and the views from her rooftop are one of the best in New York. Rooms are normal size for New York and the bed is really comfy. Will definitely stay again!
9.7 Excellent
Pros: Ultra modern hotel. Rooftop bar was amazing. Some of the best views in the city. Excellent location
Cons: N/A
The Beekman, A Thompson Hotel - New York - Bedroom
3
9.1 Excellent (4,006 reviews)
Overview Reviews
Nestled in the epicenter of Lower Manhattans vibrant new downtown lies New Yorks last hidden architectural treasure - The Beekman a Thompson Hotel. One of Manhattans first skyscrapers the heart of this iconic building is its extraordinary nine-story Victorian atrium and majestic pyramidal skylight. Originally the site played host to many milestones including New Yorks debut of Shakespeares Hamlet and the famed Clinton Hall a library where writers such as Edgar Allen Poe honed their craft.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The historic architecture has been preserved and enhanced with a keen design eye. The impressive lobby, bar, restaurant, and main atrium are all made even better by the truly excellent staff. They function well as a team, were universally helpful and courteous, and made our stay pleasant. The room was kept in perfect condition by the cleaning staff and was truly appreciated.
Cons: There were a few small things: Breakfast was quite pricey, and the lounge was somewhat out of character for the rest of the property. But these are minor quibbles.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff was amazing! Shout out to Jason from Concierge, who helped me get an amazing dinner res and made it super nice for my bf's birthday. We decided this will be the only place we stay everytime we come to NYC.
Cons: There's literally nothing that I didn't like.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Quality of service and excellent room maintenance standard
Cons: Public areas and elevators are dark
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was great. They upgraded us to a king room free of charge and gave us a nice quiet room away from street noise. The room was clean and well furnished, more than enough space! The bathroom was beautiful and well stocked with lovely toiletries. The food at the bar was excellent as were the drinks. The staff was some of the best I've experienced anywhere. So warm, friendly and accommodating. The location is great as well. Close to the A C line from Penn station as well as the 4 5 and J Z. 5 min walk from the Brooklyn Bridge. Great cleaners right across the street that washed our clothes for a very reasonable price. Overall great experience and will book with them again in the future.
Cons: Nothing! Everything was great.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everyone was amazing they even got my dresses from my car that was valeted and brought them to our room. It was overall a great stay. Thank you !
7.0 Good
Pros: Love the decor and ambiance
Cons: Poor concierge service Front desk wasn’t paying attention to room’s special request which was stated clearly at booking request.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was helpful and responsive. The hotel was really beautiful and very clean. Turndown service with water and chocolate was a nice treat. We would definitely stay at the Beekman again!
Cons: Everything was perfect.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Everything! It can get pricey, though.
Cons: The wobbly round coffee tables shoved into each room.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The atrium, bar area and restaurant are beautiful
Cons: No complaints
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Very stylish hotel. Staff were excellent
Cons: A bit over-priced. Nothing to make it stand out in terms of facilities etc (no pool for example)
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Room size was fab, although we did get an upgrade. All the staff were brilliant - helpful, friendly and polite at all times. We didn't eat at the hotel, but hear it is excellent. The bar had a real buzz about it, with a great atmosphere. It's clearly a popular place for people that work downtown to meet for a drink.
Cons: Not much to report with this one. We would've liked to have showered before heading to the airport late afternoon, having already checked out by midday. Other than that, not anything we could complain about.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The style of the hotel is gorgeous. The room were impeccably clean, thought, smaller than expected. However, my friend and I really enjoyed our stay. It’s the perfect place for a one night stay. The bed was incredibly comfortable. We, for sure, slept like babies :)
Cons: Room was smaller than expected

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was comfortable, clean, and very reasonable. We were traveling with our small dog and the hotel was accommodating. Our check in was flawless and we were offered breakfast too, as we had just arrived via cruise in the morning. Unbeknownst to us, they also offer a free shuttle. The Element is located just across the street from a train station as well.

Cons: Nothing. Very nice Hotel and the kitchen was spotless
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Free breakfast was awesome - tons of options and healthy ones at that. Location next to train station was very convenient, as well as the adjacent parking garage.
Cons: The walls were a bit thin as we heard both teenagers (?) and dogs roaming the halls in the middle of the night. Not that the hotel can do much about the noise, but the room itself did not block any of it out.

Pros: The staff was professional and very friendly. Breakfast was good. We will book here again.

4.0 Okay
Pros: Location.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The view was just expectacular! Very comfy and the bathroom... INCREDIBLE with such a view!
10.0 Excellent

Cons: There were some technical issues with the toilet, tub, and safe box, but the technicians and security person fixed everything promptly.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice and clean and very good fitness
Cons: Breakfast was too expensive to eat at hotel. Charging 35$ for buffet. We were visiting NYC but there was no shuttle service provided by the hotel to pick and drop guest from main downtown of NYC. Valet parking was too expensive.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Quiet location, large rooms.
Cons: If you're using public transportation to get around, late nights home can be a challenge if you're coming from Manhattan.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was clean, big enough to accommodate us and have some space to move and walk without bothering anyone, not like any other hotel in NY.
Cons: To be honest the Valet staff were too rude and they really have to deal with them. the valet person was like you want self-parking yeah of-course its cheaper you don't want to pay extra (which of course we won't if we have another option)

6.8 Good
Pros: Awesome authentic decor
Cons: Too dark Staff not 5 star level
5.8 Okay
Pros: Great location. Really nice restaurant and bars. Loved claw foot tub in room.
Cons: Cramped room, shower did not work properly required engineering to address and was told we may need them to “show us how to make the hot water work as it is kind-of tricky to use.” There are no amenities other than bars and restaurant and they charge resort fees. Staff not particularly urgent in terms of providing assistance. The price of room was extremely high and although I was able to negotiate a slight rate discount, there are plenty of nearby hotels with less expensive rates per night. I will stay elsewhere. They bill as a 5-star property but do not have 5-star service.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location is literally 5 steps away from PATH Station. Newport Centre is 10 mins walk. We like the gym equipment as it is new.
Cons: AC does not reach the room. The living room is quite cold as the AC is there but does not extend to the room. No hand shower beside the toilet bowl. We requested for an earlier check in which they've granted but upon arriving at around 1pm, room wasn't available for an hour and a half which was fine but they could've informed us from the onset.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: 1. Location, location, location 2. Hotel is in excellent shape and rooms are great and very clean. 3. Staff is friendly and motivated 4. Jersey City is a jewel where the hotel is located and the ease and convenience to get into the city or to the airport is unparalleled

Pros: Proximity to the metro is a great plus, you can easily take the Path train and reach NY in no time
Cons: Breaksfast variety could be improved, sausages and eggs were dry and felt as they were no good quality
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was amazing. It was clean and very nice. The bathroom was great.
Cons: No room service and there was nothing more than one snack size bag of popcorn. Water and juice with a few more snacks would be better. Also the mattress on the sofa bed was nasty, it had stains and we couldn't use it.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast--friendliness and helpfulness of the staff.
Cons: Heating in the room . I was not familiar with the thermostat-the fan was extremely noisy and awakened me several times during the night. Instruction pamphlet is necessary.

Pros: The bathroom was amazing! Bed was very comfortable
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Its location.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Clean with a prime location
Cons: I don’t get my room ready at the time I check in and this happened to me more than once I always have to wait even if I arrive at 3
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was most accommodating to make sure of our comfort and the availability of assistance, right from the start, our bellman made sure our concerns or inquiries got answered. Best "Times Square" hotel for me!
Cons: Some of the amenities of a 5 star include asking for anything and everything one requires, through the desk. I could walk to an ice machine faster than the line was answered-sometimes.
7.1 Good
Pros: Continental breakfast was quite okay but could do with changes day-to-day. Consistent in room decor and stylien
Cons: Confusing lobby area. This could be fixed by relocating reception to the left side of the entry area rather than way up the end of the hall. It is too dimly lit too in my opinion. Our Junior Suite (1501) was quite dark with small windows. The complimentary tablet is a gimmick and is not likely to be useful to anyone with a smartphone or their own tablet/laptop. No hand towel rack—where do you put them? Disconcertingly loose bathroom/shower fittings. No coffee. Stain on couch.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location . Room spacious and clean
Cons: Over priced drinks at the hotels rooftop bsr
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The hotel staff members were helpful and welcoming! Check-in was easy and the staff at the bar & restaurant went out of their way to help a jet lagged traveler enjoy a great meal. The room was very clean and well organized.
Cons: The mattress was excellent but I would have liked more pillow options - to provide a little more firmness.
8.5 Excellent
Pros: Great hotel in a wonderful location Rooms were nice and roomy
Cons: My wife is a early morning tea drinker. Some facilities to make yourself a late or early hot drink in our room would have been nice. On previous visits we were allowed to sit up on the roof garden in the morning, now it’s just another expensive bar after 4pm
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Located close to Times Square and subway for access to all parts of NY.
Cons: No coffee or tea facilities.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Location was great, just as described, right on Times Square and very close to Subway.
Cons: Service from staff could of been better, upon arrival no one greeted us we stood in a queue for 10 mins before asking staff where we could check in quicker. We were then told we were in the wrong queue and had to go to the back of the hotel to check in. Absolutely ridiculous bearing in mind it is very obvious we were trying to check in with all our suitcases. Staff were not attentive in the slightest and barely noticed we were there!

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Rooms were a good size for New York and get comfortable. Great location.
Cons: Rooftop bar was clearly aimed at non hotel guests - had to stand in bar despite there being lots of tables free but were apparently reserved for non hotel guests. Very disappointed as this is a great bar but very poorly managed.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Rooms were dare I say it ROOMY for NYC. Adequate storage space and closet space and bathroom was a decent size.
Cons: Thin walls, assuming our next door neighbor had to much fun at the Roof Top Bar and was throwing up the whole night, we had the pleasure of hearing every single thing for about 1-2 hours straight. Had to turn on the TV to muffle some of it out!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: My room was GIGANTIC. And not just by NYC standards.
Cons: I had issue with payment at the front desk. However for all the trouble the hotel sent up some Magnolia’s cupcakes a bottle of red wine.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Location Rooftop Food
Cons: Poor cleaning Poor service

Pros: Huge rooms. Comfortable beds. Stylish. Great location for mid town.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great aesthetic! The pictures don’t make justice to this gorgeous Designer hotel, where every detail was carefully thought of. Searching online for same-day accommodation yielded this hotel within my budget and with a central location. Upon arrival I was greeted warmly and upgraded to a room with a view of the Empire State Building. Really Special & Memorable stay. I highly recommend this Hotel and hope to return in the future.
Cons: I wish we had arrived earlier to enjoy the rooftop bar.

Pros: The gentleman who checked me out was awesome when I gave him my feedback about the walls being SO THIN, I could hear my neighbor on his phone at 4:30am - had to knock on our joining door to ask him to quiet down.

Overview Reviews
With a stay at Fitzpatrick Grand Central, you'll be centrally located in New York, steps from Chrysler Building and 4 minutes by foot from Grand Central Terminal. Featured amenities include limo/town car service, express check-in, and complimentary newspapers in the lobby.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Pretty hotel, rooms were clean, especially the tub. The staff was awesome. The location was great.
Cons: I don’t have any dislikes. My only suggestion is a microwave in the room.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The front desk staff and doorman were friendly and helpful, and the room was large by NYC standards. The hotel is on a quiet street, yet very close to Grand Central station. There are also relatively inexpensive restaurants close by for breakfast and lunch. I would definitely stay here again.
Cons: There was broken glass on the floor of the bathroom and dirt behind the bathroom door when we arrived. I cleaned up the broken glass (over the course of two days - I kept finding more pieces), and the dirt remained for the duration of our stay. Also, the shower curtain liner was too short to hang inside the tub, which meant that the bathroom floor was flooded whenever we showered. Not having free WiFi in this day and age is ridiculous!
4.5 Okay
Cons: Non blackout curtains on a large window facing a commercial building w lights on all night! Incredibly difficult to sleep in such circumstances. Very poor sound insulation as well. Could hear perfectly clear conversations from down the hall.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The location can not be beat! The hotel is right next to the Chrysler building and Grand Central station. The front desk staff were very helpful and kind. The rooms are a great size for New York and very clean.
Cons: You have to pay for wifi in your room. I believe it was something crazy like $15 for 24 hours.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Lovely quiet area very near to Grand Central Station. Exceptionally friendly staff and nothing was a problem for them. Hotel could do with modernization but on the whole, very clean and we really enjoyed our stay.
Cons: Air conditioning systems really need updating, quite old and very noisy.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful bed. Central location
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable and clean room, close to everything a tourist might want to visit.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The beer in the pub. Bronx Pale Ale especially.
Cons: The sink and bathroom plugs in the bathrooms of both rooms we stayed in during our two visits didn’t fit properly. On the second stay I had to opt for a shower instead on a bath.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very comfortable bed,all good no complaints
9.5 Excellent
Pros: We explained that we where travelling as part of our honeymoon and they kindly upgraded us to a junior sweet, also gave us a bottle of champagne and chocolate covered strawberries on arrival, they couldn’t have been more helpful
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Great customer service, nice hotel room, welcoming people, just overall 5 star service
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent

Pros: Loved it all! Hop on ferry to NYC right across the street, pillows were perfect, shampoo, body wash in shower attached to wall so no small bottles falling all over while you bathe, breakfast the best we've seen. Real, REAL fresh eggs and Greek yogurt also. We would definitely return!

Pros: Location, light breakfast room and good breakfast, good sized room and amazing shower
Cons: Asked to ensure sofa bed was set up for the kids...was not done and staff not happy to help..
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great choice with good reviews. Transport into Manhattan was perfect, got the ferry across to midtown. What a way to go into town. Really enjoyed the whole experience. Breakfast was vert much a good surprise with gluten free options available. Was only expecting Contenental style breakfast but was impressed with the hot and cold options. Great for the kids to get fuelled up for the day ahead. Rooms were spacious and for five people, not overcrowded. And last but not least everything was very coolly decorated making our stay very special and memorable.
Cons: Internet link said that you have views of manhattan but that's not true. Your actually looking over a car park. You can see manhattan but it's only at a 90o angle with your face squeezed against the glass. Did complain and got some money off and room moved. Poor Internet imformation rather than the hotels fault.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Convenient! Clean and comfortable.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast area was huge and there are lots of choices for the foods and they taste really good. The computers for the bussiness center are mac pcs. The location is just a walking distance to the ferry port. It is safe to walk around midnight near the hotel just to photograph the city skyline.
Cons: Parking rate is still quite expensive. It is not operated by the hotel management. There are only two dryer machines while there are four washers in the laundry room. The cleaner staffs didn't clean the sofabed. Probably they didn't know how to clean it.
9.5 Excellent

Pros: Close to everythings.
Cons: The prices in booking is different from the actual. Once you reach the hotel you will be shocked by different kinds of fees. Even the complementary water will cost you $5 !!!!!. The prices should be clear to the customer with all taxes and fees . PLEASE NO MORE HIDDEN FEES.

Pros: Most of the staff was extremely nice and helpful in answering all questions they were asked. The accommodations were very nice and clean. Breakfast was amazing in the selection offered.
Cons: Self service parking shouldn't cost as much as it does. The self park shouldn't only cost 7 dollars less than valet. The staff wasn't exactly up front with the cost of parking, it seemed as if valet was $27/day and self service was a minimal charge, however, self service was $27/day and valet was $35/day.

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Location was fantastic to the airport , the river water front, restaurants and I loved looking back onto the city of Manhattan . The room was very comfortable and will stay here on my next trip to New York.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: new gym, location, great service
Cons: tub had a lot of mildew and mold in it, very dirty considering that this is a (usually) very well kept and nice hotel
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location
Cons: No
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Ambiance. Look.
Cons: Ordered a special amenity to be put in room, and the presentation when we returned was not what I expected.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The location is quick and easy to access the Hoboken Path trains which makes getting to and from Manhattan relatively easy. It is also very close to the restaurants and bars on Washington Street and the Hoboken waterfront. The beds were very comfortable.
Cons: I came and stayed for a wedding so I didn't have to travel back to New York late at night and still can't believe one night cost as much as it did. It seems a little excessive but I am used to traveling and staying in much more budget friendly hotels. Having to sign up with Marriott rewards in order to get the free wifi was also annoying.
