The hotel was very comfortable and clean. The meals reasonably priced and plentiful
Our room was very noisy due to the fact that it was not double glazed and I could hear the traffic passing in the night therefore I did not have a good nights sleep. Also the room was very cold due to the fact that there were draughts coming through the sash windows and the heating had been mistakenly switched off by a member of staff but when we enquired why the heat was off we were given a satisfactory explanation and it was back on when we returned to our room. In mitigation it was a very very cold weekend.
the bar was the only warm room
we arived and there Was no heating on in the room it was freezing we asked if the heating was on because the room was freezing the only place that was warm was the bar so we went and sat down there for something to eat.The food wasnt anything to write home about i had minced lamb pie which was on as special, you got a table spoon of mash potatoes a small like ramakin of lamb with veg that was mashed up as though it was ready to feed a small child with a puff pastry circle on top which was burnt and a few peas everything was like quick food my partner had chips egg gammon which was hard and a few peas. After tea we went back to our room and we had to go down and ask to put the heating on as it was freezing we were in bed at 830pm to keep war
Within easy reach of Silverstone
Had a room on the top floor with no water due to poor pressure
Evidence of refurbishment; basically clean and tidy
Inadequate parking; room poorly laid out (beam at face height over end of bed); no cupboard/storage space; no fire exit notices in room; no details about hotel in room; no remote control for tv; insecure headboard; most lights not working in bathroom; no refill of toilet paper; took money at beginning of stay; only one catch on window; uneven treads on staircase with no handrail; etc
Convenient for purpose of our visit
Friendly staff, cosy atmosphere, nice room, good food.
Tv not working
The room was very comfortable and quiet.
For the price, there was no housekeeping. And although it sounds petty, the water pressure was so bad we couldn't wash the soap off!
friendliness of staff. evening meal excellent. Comfortable soft bedding. Quaint and relaxed.Refurbishment did not intrude on our stay.
in the room - more milk & a mug or larger cup for tea/coffee, glasses for water. Mug at breakfast time or refill - perhaps a pot tea/coffee on the table. Toast not very good and no marmalade.
Cosy and a very warm welcome. The Romanian staff at the front desk and pub is very nice and takes a very good care of your needs. Excellent !
