Pros: Wonderful welcome, homely comfortable, easy-going. Wonderful location in a beautiful setting. We stayed for a friend's wedding and the staff from the venue bought us back- information told to us by the lady who welcomed us. We had to vacate our room early due to new early arrivals but was told to come and go as long as we liked and we could have more tea/coffee. Went to look at the beautiful church at the back of the garden, with sheep strolling around the gravestones. And their lovely, friendly dog who clearly didn't want us to leave either. Stayed with our friends and really didn't want to come back. Idyllic location and wonderful tasty, home cooked breakfast plus choice of fruit/cereals/juices
Cons: The Vicarage was a little more expensive then some places, having said that we didn't want to leave.
Pros: Quiet and peaceful location in a small village. Gardens were lovely. Hosts were friendly and welcoming. Breakfasts had plenty of options available: from full English breakfast to lighter options too.
Cons: A personal preference, but we found the bed was a bit hard for our liking. We thought that for the price we paid, it was a little unusual to share a bathroom. Had we known beforehand that we would be sharing a bathroom, we would probably have chosen elsewhere. We did manage with a sharing a bathroom, but it wouldn't have been our preference.
Pros: The location was excellent, peaceful and quiet. The house has a beautifully kept garden and is located in a small village, overlooking the church. We were able to sit in the garden in the evening and enjoy the surroundings. We had a room in the attics which was very comfortable and furnished beautifully with stunning views across the countryside. There was a very good shower in the bathroom which was next to our room and was shared with two other rooms on the top floor but this was not a problem at all. The breakfast was outstanding. The hosts were very welcoming and friendly.
Cons: We could find no fault. We loved it.
Pros: Excellent Bed, very friendly owners.
Pros: The attention to detail, the hosts everything about the old vicarage is just perfect.
Cons: There was nothing we didn’t like we loved everything.
Pros: Lovely hosts, a lovely big old house in quite setting. Very clean and breakfast was everything you could want for.
Pros: Alison and her husband were so helpful, friendly and accommodating, both before and during our stay. Any queries we had were answered and information provided. The room was lovely, clean and tidy and the facilities were perfect. We were welcomed with tea and coffee upon arrival. The breakfast was cooked fresh and to order. I cannot rate this any higher, if we are to stay in the surrounding area again, we will definitely book The Old Vicarage for our stay.
Cons: We cannot complain about anything. This place was brilliant.
Pros: Fresh berries at breakfast. Stunning old house and beautiful well tended garden and lawn. Loads of parking. Didn’t mind us coming home late. Offered us a lift to collect our car from a venue nearby. Books in the rooms and bedside water carafe and glass.
Cons: Bit pricey for the room we were in, the bathroom was split into 2 cupboards. Somebody’s old clothes were already in the wardrobe which we’ve never known before! So no space to hang ours other than on the hook behind the door. Only 3 teabags and the coffee granules did not dissolve - however, if we had asked I’m sure they would have been replaced.
Pros: Great breakfast and quirky comfortable place to stay. We stayed for a wedding and the owner took us to pick our car up the next day!! Excellent service.

Pros: The hosts were excellent. Food at the bar was of a good standard and the beer was nice. The room was comfortable.
Pros: Everything else was good.
Cons: The downstairs room was lovely, trouble was the one could hear every movement, even conversation, from the guests in upstairs. For this reason I wouldn't re-book.
Pros: Lovely peaceful location in a beautiful village. Pub food was delicious. The young lady serving food in the restaurant was absolutely lovely and the manager supplied everything we asked for without question and made us feel really welcome. Comfy bed, very tastefully decorated room l.
Cons: There was nothing I didn’t really like but if I’m going to be really picky the only thing that could have been better was the shower. It obviously had a pump to remove the water from the waste which was very noisy and not very efficient but the actual shower was fine.
Pros: Beautiful country pub - didn’t disappoint.
Cons: Nothing to not like.
Pros: The staff are very friendly and helpful. Accommodation was spot on.
Pros: It was a nice relaxing quiet pub with excellent accomodation
Cons: Could'nt fault it
Pros: Bed was comfortable
Cons: The room was shabby and dirty. Light switch broken very poor quality
Cons: Lack of cooked breakfast spoilt our stay, and would put us off stoppingther again.
Pros: Great Staff good food and good room
Pros: Bed good, dinner good, staff friendly
Cons: Breakfast a disaster. 90+% sugar in a sticky card bag. Boss lives on the premises, no excuse for not supplying a good wholesome cooked breakfast as one would normally expect at such a place. Guests regarded as not worthy of their getting out of bed for.

Pros: The location and layout
Cons: The cleanliness was apporling. Wee still in the toilet. Floor not hoovered. Mattress was completely broken at 1 side. Worst night sleep ever
Pros: Staff very friendly and helpful
Cons: The hotel needs a complete renovation it looked very tired
Pros: Staff were fantastic
Cons: Not a lot...an old building with oldie but goodie facilities. Staff great.
Pros: Breakfast was lovely!
Cons: Room a little dusty (found one or two cobwebs in my room)! But overall it was ok for one night.
Cons: In need of good clean throughout. Shabby decor generally tired.
Pros: The breakfast was good except orange juice was warm all else was OK Mattress on bed really needs renewing bedside light did not work Decor a little tired but for what I needed was OK
Cons: Bed mattress very lumpy Window didn't open no fresh air Bedside light broken
Pros: Staff . Food . Rooms . Town . Excellent
Pros: Staff were very welcoming, evening meals were reasonably priced. Very good breakfast. Lovely market town.
Cons: Rooms need an upgrade especially the mattress
Pros: I wouldn’t know we both moved their sister hotel the unicorn down the road
Cons: When we finally got to the unicorn hotel the room was disgusting it smells of sewage I did ask for an air freshener they gave us one but it didn’t mask the smell so I asked if they had another room or could I have my money back so I can find another hotel As I wasn’t prepared to stay in that room I did get move it to another room which was okay but when we return that evening the whole room stunk of sewage again We’ve just found out that the unicorn hotel used to be an old peoples home and by the looks of it they just rented it out and haven’t bothered updating some of the rooms
Pros: The TV
Cons: Not being moved by Crown to the Unicorn a truly grubby place. No food rating available so we decided to avoid the breakfast. Room door in poor condition, with significant gap at top allowing smoke if a fire and light and noise to enter. Shower dripping floor wet, had to put towels down to use loo. No blind, curtain or frosted glass in shower so we had drape a towel over window. Staff unreceptive to complaint.
