The room was clean, spacious and well equipped. Plenty of parking was available and was close to the room. Continental breakfast was very good and being included in the price made it even better.
Being unable to turn off basin taps was a little annoying and a very big waste of water, but did not detract from a pleasant stay.
Very nice hotel to stay at. Pleasant staff, clean rooms and relaxing atmosphere. CBD close by.
Have stayed at Hotel many times and it's an older place with character. Most rooms are being updated along with extensions over time. Location is great, near CBD but quiet area.
We had some problems which were pleasantly managed by one deputy manage, yet unpleasantly by a senior manager.
Welcoming to motorcycle riders
Good but will be a top option when renovations and upgrade of rooms completed
a bit tired
Staff very accommodating. Room was changed to allow better access for injured party.
Parking too far from rooms.
comfortable and central
a trek from carpark to reception
Excellent continental breakfasts. Male staff member was very good to allow very early room service breakfast at noo charge so we could get to early hit-off for golf. Late check-out good too.
Beautiful "old world charm" without seeming run down Girl in dining room was absolutely delightful.
One particular person on reception was quite arrogant and treated questions with disdain
It had old-fashioned charm and comfort; it was also hassle-free and quiet. Within walking distance to the War Memorial and restaurants. Staff willingly gave advice about attractions of Canberra, especially about the current Masterpieces from Paris exhibition. Would stay there again.
