The staff working in Reception/Bar were very friendly, very accomodating and generally lovely to deal with! The kitchen they have is really nice! I haven’t really used it, but it was fully equipped. The place is away from heavy traffic in Bucharest, but close enough to walk to the main touristy attractions.
The only gripe I have with this place is with I assume was the Manager, who informed me that they’re after a certain vibe when it comes to their cafe (which is the Reception/Lobby of the hostel/house) and that flip-flops don’t form part of the look that is sought after. The place wants to be hipster, however I was informed ‘lawyers’ frequent the cafe and as such we must have a certain dress sense. What really upset me even more was when I tried to explain to the Manager that I had flip-flops on so I wouldn’t rummage around the dorm and wake up the others in the morning, I was told: if people sleep in a room with multiple beds, they would expect this. However, it appears that there’s double standards. If you go to a cafe where there’s books on the floor and tables made of ply wood, you expect a very laidback atmosphere, which may include people casually dressed, potentially wering flip-flops. But no, this doesn’t appear to be the case. Spoilt experience by silly rules that are simply not well thought of.
Shower box was leaked ，no elevator。
Very friendly staff. Really clean.
Pretty hard to find
Location was the main factor to select this location
First was the fact that everyone is smoking!. It is outside, but you can smell it. I found strange that they expect cash to pay the balance. The location is a hostel but listed as hotel on booking.com
Very comfortable bed, friendly staff and it was quiet.
