Pros: I really liked the owner, Mary. She visited with the other guests and myself quite late and then got up very early to cook us up an amazing hot breakfast, cooked to order! The house has a lot of history, but is furnished with lovely artwork and antiques. The house is walking distance to the lovely little downtown Stowe. I could not have had a better B&B experience! Thank you, Mary!
Cons: Absolutely nothing

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice inn. Staff terrific. Perfect for a visit to Stowe.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: My room was very spacious and clean, had a whirlpool tub, working gas fireplace, and luxury bedding. On-site restaurant was fantastic. Literally steps from other restaurants, cafes, bookstore, arts and gift shops. Keurig coffee machine, small fridge, and robes in room. Wineglasses also appreciated.
Cons: Breakfast was on the pricey side, but portions generous.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The quality of rooms, furnishings and food in the dining room
Cons: The dining room was very busy and only one bartender, waited much too long for a simple glass of wine right at the bar with I my 4 people sitting there.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Booked the Green Mountain Hotel for a recent ski trip for my fiancé. We went with another couple and shared a room. I'm not a skier so I stayed behind while everyone else went to the mountain. This hotel was AWESOME! The room was quiet and so so comfy. The outdoor hot tub was so cool especially since it was about 20 degrees while we were there. The gym/sauna is so clean and so nice. We had brunch on Sunday and drinks at the restaurant. The whole place is sparkling clean and everyone is so so nice!! Location is perfect close to downtown restaurants and shopping.
Cons: A little far from the mountain. Was no big deal for us and they have an awesome free shuttle that will take you straight to the mountain but if you don't feel like dealing with the shuttle or if you don't have a car that's good in the snow to get you the 15-20 drive to the mountain you might want to stay at one of the resorts at the mountain.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great restaurant, fun being in town. Large rooms, friendly staff.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful stay although short. Would love to stay again someday if we ever get back to Stowe. Would recommend to anyone.

9.7 Excellent
Pros: The friendly staff and customer service are second to none. We've stayed in many nice hotels and we've never seen such friendly staff anywhere else. The hotel was wonderful and we'll never stay anywhere else in Stowe!
9.1 Excellent
Pros: We loved the hotel and all the amenities. We had a beautiful room with a good view and enjoyed some down time. All the staff could not have been friendlier, even just passing in the hallways.
Cons: The only disappointing experience I had was that, in this being a leisure trip trip and having the room we did for the money I was looking forward to a little extra relaxing sleeping time in the morning. The main point of the getaway trip was to leave the working world and busy schedule behind to relax. However the room next to ours has young kids that were screaming at 6:00am, and out on the patio being extremely loud, We finally gave in after 40 minutes and realized that we had to get up at 6:40. I thought for the amount of money being spent a night that something like that would have been avoided or more controlled.
8.2 Excellent
Pros: The beds are amazing. I don't know what linens they use but they were the most beautiful sheets I've ever slept in. Bathrooms are gorgeous. The pool and resort are quite beautiful and I can't wait to come back in the winter, when I think it will be even more fun.
Cons: Our stay felt slightly like an off-season experience. It was a little quiet but more than that, there was only one bath towel in the bathroom, and lots of empty trays were maybe soaps and things should have been. Also, I placed a room service order and received something completely different when the food arrived, turns out we had an old menu from last year. Finally, I opened the fridge to put things into, and there were 2 containers of takeout left in it. It just seemed like they were short staffed or something. I definitely expected Stowe Mountain Lodge to be on point with details like this and they weren't. Finally, upon check in we didn't receive any information regarding amenities, restaurants, etc. not very welcoming at the front desk, which they need to work on otherwise you get the sense they just want to run your credit card and that's about it. Valet and bell service is outstanding however.

Pros: We were very happy with our stay in early October. The location of the hotel is great, just a quick drive to Stowe village. It's also right across the street from the Alchemist brewery and a few restaurants. We were very happy with the room, it was a little older - but everything was very clean and well taken care of. Each room has a DVD player and you can check out DVDs from their office! They even had new releases :) We'd definitely recommend anyone staying here if you want to stay at a relaxed, family owned hotel!

9.3 Excellent
Pros: We liked the pond in back with canoes, and kayaks that you can use. It's nice to walk around with your free coffee in morning. The kids like the pools and hot tub. It is centrally located for traveling north or south. They serve cookies in afternoon, a nice treat.
Cons: The hotel was very clean, but wallpaper is dated and shoeing it's age by peeling or being ripped. Also with the increase in use of technology, the rooms could use more outlets, especially when 4 people gave their phones and other devices.
7.4 Good
Pros: It is an older hotel, so everything is not updated, but it doesn't pretend like it is the newest and nicest place which in itself is refreshing. It's exactly what you're looking for in a place like Stowe where most of your time is spent not at the hotel. Good value, good location, excellent staff.
Cons: The room that I was in had a distinct mildew odor, which may have come from the HVAC system.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: We had a issue with a noisy AC unit and they moved us at 11pm with no problems. We just slept in the other room, but the hotel did not make us move all our stuff which was great. My kids loved kayaking in the lake on the property.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: The layout was very unique.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: When we first arrived we immediately enjoyed the scenic ennterance with the trees and lights. Was very warm and welcoming. The room was great, food was great and included breakfast!
Cons: The "king" bed was just two beds put together.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: We were fortunate to get a room within a 4 hr notice. Our plane got delayed so we needed a room in Stowe for the night. We didn't arrive until after midnight and there was an envelope with a key and note for us. We slept well and were happy to have a hot shower and hot breakfast the next morning. Very charming place and we would stay here again!
Cons: The room was freezing when we got in. The wall heaters didn't take long to get things warmer but it would've been nice to already be warm. The shower head is too small and needs to be upgraded so water hits all of you not just half.
6.8 Good
Pros: Great location!
Cons: Breakfast starts at 7:30, the same time the lifts open. Need something earlier for early morning skiers. Rooms need facelift.
6.0 Good
Pros: The beds and rooms were nice, good value.
Cons: We ran out of hot water one of our nights and the issue never got resolved. Pretty disappointing after a long day of skiing.

Pros: Perfect location for my needs. I wanted to go hiking in the Stowe area and this hotel served as a great hub for all my mini day trips. The staff respected my privacy, it was quiet, and the place was clean and comfortable.
7.7 Good
Pros: Location was great outside of town and on the recreation trail. Easy access to town as well as mountain. Was a good location to do fall foliage drives and hiking. Had a good breakfast restaurant with lots of choices.
Cons: Rooms could use an update. Had a strong stale odor / carpet needs to be cleaned or freshened up. Would be an easy fix. Hits you when you walk into the room. Not a deal breaker though to staying again at an overall good hotel.
