Room had a king size bed, the restaurant food was fantastic. The amniance in the hotel, restaurant and pub was warm and cozy. You didn't even need to leave the Inn to have a great holiday. Was a little difficult to part.
The location was excellent within the town castle wall. The atmosphere and feel of a very 'olde world Inn' with beams and antiques displayed in the bars & restaurant. Freshly cooked food and varied menu. Friendly/helpful staff . For our relatives from Australia who accompanied us this was the typical historical inn they wanted to stay in and they loved it too. Nothing!
Good breakfast and a friendly atmosphere. Food was quite expensive and not much for your money.
Good location No hot water from shower , very noisy , not clean and confortable room. It is not acceptable level.
History of the hotel Staff attitude Location Good food Real ales Warm and friendly Nothing
The room was comfortable with big bathtub . The room was a little dark for us.
Everything was excellent and the staff could not do enough to help. Nothing to dislike
staff very friendly, excellent breakfast, good parking, fantastic location, value for money no
all staff very friendly and helpful and excellent full english breakfast
The service and the food were excellent, the place had a nice feeling to it The matrees was past its best, springs making a noise every time you moved
The hotel was clean, warm and comfortable. Decor a. little dated but not really a problem.Staff very efficient and pleasant. Bar food good value and cost of room extremely good value. Location great.
The location and the friendliness of the staff. Although I've put excelent for value for money, I do beleive the evening meal that was part of the package was poor and could easily be improved. It reminded me of hospital mass produced cook-chill food.
friendly staff and guests The cold weather!!!
Location and hekpful staff Tepid water
Comfort of the room and variety of choice on the continental breakfast. Staff are friendly and polite Shower was cold, had to run it for15 mins to get it tepid
Friendly staff, comfortable bar area, clean rooms Room very small, overlooked floodlit car park so room was very bright at night. Sink in room instead of bathroom. Information in hotel room said dinner was available from 7pm until 9pm. At 8.40pm we were told that the restaurant had been closed for half an hour and we would have needed to have booked. As we were not informed of this, we were slightly disappointed.
the view and the breakfast room television picture extremely poor
Spacious rooms No food provision between 14.00 to 18.00 hours, not even snakes, if anyone needs.
Situation in one of the most beautiful parts of the world. Beautiful views from hotel dining room. Traditional Welsh Hotel with local style garden. Difficulty putting children in a room very close to our own despite request on booking. Moved to same floor though, Thank you.
The helpfulness and friendliness of all the staff we encountered, The wonderful views, and the very convenient location. Food also pretty good.
clean room, quiet, comfy beds. Breakfast substantial and fairly good. Pool is very nice. Great location, close to walled center and castle, supermarket across the street, walkable to harbor. Didnt like the 6pm cutoff at the pool for children (no admittance after 5:30pm!), it should be available to children and families a little later
Cosy log fire - friendly staff and excellent food in the Restaurant
Laid back and peaceful setting, with friendly staff. Noise from kitchen extractor fan (stayed in Rm10) was unfortunate.
Staff on first night dinner second night relaxed atmosphere Dinner first night light pull in bathroom too high
Lovely towels and bathrobes. Excellent food. Dinner service was slow1
The warm reception, completely relaxing and friendly atmosphere, cleanliness of everything, helpfulness of all the staff. - I would well recommend this hotel to anyone.
Pleasant location in peaceful, quiet countryside. Close to all the best features of North Wales. Very good food, albeit costly. An expensive place to stay, acceptable without being luxurious. Nothing particular to shout about.
Standard of the rooms Service did not meet the standard we expected.
No personal service from the owners. Poor privacy between rooms
The professionalism with graciousness was a delight. We had a really relaxing stay in lovely surroundings, far from the tourist trails. The food and wine was of a very high standard and excellent value.
Comfortable quiet rural location with stunning views and excellent food.
We enjoyed the relaxed friendly atmosphere of the House. Our hosts Andy and Julian were most friendly and helpful. No
location this is more of a guest house than a hotel dont stay there on a cold winters night we froze
Plas Dinas is a lovely country house, set in glorious gardens. The managers are really friendly and made us feel very welcome.
Everything. The character of the house was great, the rooms comfortable, the owners were delightful and attentive, the food was excellent. The entire experience was a treat.
very personal atmosphere and service; excellent food; beautiful setting noisy plumbing
position of hotel, gardens and spectalur view from the mount and very helpful staff. the history of the hotel very interesting
Location and condition of hotel was excellent. Staff where found to be very friendly.
We found the place relaxing. The food was lovely and the room was perfect for us
The peace and quiet The windows all need to be refurbished both for ventilation and for safety. The majority are painted up.
It was a relatively short walk to the city center from there. Staff were helpful and it was a comfortable bed. Toilets would occasionally not flush all the way and I'd have to wait awhile for the tank to refill and try again. Also I was under the impression internet was free but due to some legal reason I had to pay £2. Please mention that in the description.
price was nice and cheap. Beds were great-so comfortable. Public spaces were dusty. Ran out of hot water quickly. Crowded room--too much furniture for a small room.
Location and facilities. No toothbrush kit for guests. Clunky keys and door locks.
Excellent customer service, as a single woman travelling alone, this is very important to me. I was made to feel very welcome by staff who were friendly and helpful without being intrusive. The room service menu was extensive, tasty and value for money. The room was clean and comfortable with a good range of teas and coffees. The work desk was well lit with ample sockets for my laptop. The bathroom was spotless with a range of good quality toiletries and big, fluffy towels. I would recommend this hotel.
Friendly nature of the staff. Table d'hote dinner was nice but ibdividual courses weren't particulary large - I went to bed feeling peckish.
Quiet location, excellent food Internet connection is expensive, and didnt work all days
The setting was fantastic and the rooms were spot on. I really enjoyed the stay at the hotel but we had to wait for 50 mins for breakfast to be served after we ordered it. The hotel was not even busy and this really put a bit of a cloud our groups overall opinion of the hotel. I spen a lot of time in Bangor and would definately use the hotel again however the issue with breakfast did really annoy me as I had to leave quite sharpish next morning and was late for a meeting I had in Wrexham due to the breakfast delay.
The staff were friendly and attentive. The food was fabulous in the restaurant and the breakfast to die for.
Swimming pool, restaurant food None
The service from the staff was excellent. The food could be much improved.
Very relaxing place to stay, staff were very helpful. Food in the conservatory on Saturday evening was disspaointing, by the timje it arrived to the table it was cold.
The view from our apartment room was absolutely stunning. It was easy to find and situated within easy drive from all the main towns and villages. The hotel had all the facilities we were expecting. We stayed in one of the apartment type rooms which had a fantastic view of the sea. However the interior was not finished to a very high standard, particularly the bathroom. The room had not been hoovered before or while we were there. Our apartment had an upstairs room which had twin beds. The beds would have been too high for our daughters and there was no gate for the very steep stairs. The room had a tiled floor and no curtains, so offered no comfort. Also the only source of heating was a fan heater.
The view from our room was amazing but it was in a separate tower away from the main hotel. We did not try the bar as they had a party of cyclists in and so it would have been busy. The staff were very friendly although a little disorganised. Location was great as we wanted to explore the Llanberis area which was only 8 miles away. The breakfast room lacked atmosphere although it had a good view, the cooked breakfast was average and not very warm presumable because it had to travel from the far side of the hotel. Although our room was lovely the shower cubicle and basin was located in the room and so not truly ensuite. Decor incomplete but adequate.
The view! It was stunning! Plus the staff couln't have been more helpful. They upgraded us to a bigger and better room, just because it was free (the room was amazing, we didn't want to leave it). And they opened up the swimming pool and sauna, just for us. The bar area, which is your first view of the hotel looks a bit like a tatty pub/social club. And first impressions count. Plus, be prepared, the outside of the hotel is pink !
Only place for evening meal was in bar. As a single female I did was not happy about this. Rooms rather dated.
The views were the best ever and the staff were very friendly The rooms could do with a little updating
Two bedrooms were ideal for two adults and one child. Staff were very frindly and helpful. Great location in coastal, country Wales. Bathroom facilities not great in the room. The price was a bit too high for the facilities provided but the location was special.
Friendly staff and a flexible attitude When my card receipt was printed it showed my name full card number and expiry date
owner of hotel was a lovely lady made us fill very welcome
Pleasant staff hotel is very much a 'guest house' type of establishment. The reception area doubles as the lounge/bar. Decor is dated. Premises was very clean though.
The hotel rooms were spacious and comfortable and the staff friendly and helpful. We chose the hotel because we wanted a restful weekend and it fitted the bill perfectly.
Linens clean. Breakfast ok. Extremely small room overlooking a "garden" with garbage. Carpet completely torn and worn.
The apartment is lovely, clean, and worth for only 75 pounds aper night. The only bad thing is it is not clear that I've paid online.
Room was reasonably priced, breakfast good, bottled water in room, tea making facilities and selection of DVD's and dvd player in room, room clean. Tv reception and quality poor, no extractor fan in bathroom
The company of fellow guests. The friendliness of the female member of staff who served breakfast and seviced the rooms. the absence of full en-suite faciliteis and the absence of related parking.
Really enjoyed my stay there and it is in a great location. Nothing.
The hotel was well run clean rooms great breakfast and friendly. The fact the when you booked and payed by card you think that is it you have payed. It's embarrassing for manager and the customer when asked to pay on your way out because you think you already have ? I got soaking wet looking for the cash machine on a sunday morning ?
None They gave us bad milk, and not proper english breakfast they only served milk , bread, cereals. it is not right english breakfast, but they served proper english breakfast to other people. why why why ....
Not good for parking, but a great location right next to Caernarfon Castle.Had a DVD player and some DVD's to borrow. A bit oddball, that you had to walk through the kitchin/laundry area to get to the apartment
phil was a really down to earth person and made our stay better than we anticipated !!
Great host Phil and his cat, wonderful breakfast and house none
Sharing a bathroom with other guests when you have children is not easy. No cupboards for hanging clothes.
The fact that it was part of the Castle, the staff were friendly and it had a good view. Wish we could have stayed longer. The television did not work. No breakfast
It was comparatively cheap and well located with a beautiful view Lack of breakfast facilities (though we did know that), lack of en suite, noise of pub customers after closing time. Also there was no-one to pay when we left in the morning, and we had to phone them later.
good view outside had to go out of my room to have a shower/shave an toilet facilities were all located outside my room. No towels. No milk for coffee. No wardrobe to hang clothes.Room temperature controls outside my room.Poor standards for the price i paid thro using the internet site. Will not return to this hotel again.
Nothing. No en suite, no chairs.
Excellent view from our family room, great position to explore Caernarfon, literally right next to the castle. Very basic, staff would speak welsh the moment you came into view, very annoying, locals are halfwits and drink and swear constantly outside and around the bar. Although it was reasonably clean, the shower did not work properly, there is no ensuite, no breakfast and the evening meals are very very basic. It was okay as a base, the staff did listen when you asked for something and the beer was good in the bar but I wouldn't want to stay for a long time, noise on Thursday went on till after 1:30am.
It was cheap and the view outside the front door was spectacular. You could not ask for a more convenient spot to explore Caenarfon fom. The live band were playing undereath our room so loud that we could not think let alone sleap. The juke box started after the band were done and this was not much quieter. The fire safety instruction poster was underneath the tea and cofee. The multi socket to power the tv and kettle dangled in the corner of the room. Not sure that is in line with current Health & Safety guidelines. The wallpaper was pealing from damp in the corner above the beds. The bathroom was not cleaned for our entire stay. There were about 30 sachets of coffee and no milk. No one to be found to help during the day when the pub was closed and no indication of how I would get hold of anyone.
Had a wonderful 3 day stay in this hotel. Breakfast fantantic. Staff couldn't do enough for you. Lovely room with pleasent outlook. Very good location for siteseeing etc. Thoughtful touches like putting additional heater on in room to welcome us back after cool day. Fantastic.
Room was very clean and tidy with a good good breakfast None
very friendly staff. Excellent food. cigarette ends pilled on the ground afew feet from the door to our room. Maybe a sand tray could be put out to encourage smokers not to throw "fag ends" on the floor.
Upgraded to cottage at no additional fee as smaller rooms being upgraded (heating) Initially the main bedroom smelt of insect killer due to the mosquitoes, smell went within a few hours.
Climbed Snowdon twice & visited Carnarvon.
This was our first visit & we would certainly return there in future. The owner & staff were very friendly & made us very welcome. The rooms were very clean & tidy, no problems at all.
The very kind personal especially the head waiter and the cook.
Easy location to access caernarfon and snowdonia plenty of space in the room which is a bonus when there are 5 of you beautiful surroundings and child friendly. Staff were very accomodating.a pity they didnt servr mrals because the breakfast was lovely. Television only had bbc channels
excellent breakfast, owners very pleasant
