reception staff was excellent, - very friendly, very helpful and all good looking! hotel room was excellent - large room, large balcony, good bed high charge for internet- should be free at the price charged only one computer - always busy
Although not an impressive building, this is a beautiful hotel with excellent facilities and services. The food is also of a high standard.
Nice hotel with excellent facilities.
The rooms were clean and contemporary. The beach adjacent was wonderful. The food was excellent. The advertised WIFI in the room never worked. The hotel did nothing to try to fix it.
What a gorgous property and location. The staff was friendly and accomodating. We would stay there again. We wish we would have had more time to use the spa facilities. The breakfast was exceptionally expensive!
view from hotel / the seaside rooms on 2nd floor have a panoramic view over beach, sea and mountains. they also have a large shared terrace. the spa facilities are good / excellent and so is the breakfast room with nice sunny terrace on the beach side. from the outside, the construction style is not particularly appealing (modern hotel look, little charm) but the rooms are modern, well equipped and of good standard. bathrooms are on the small side for a 4 star but rooms are same size or larger than american style standard (which is significantly bigger than EU style). The rooms, staff and views are a plus. spa is of good quality too with good hamman - although hidden, and with spacious set up. The outside style is of a modern beachfront hotel - do not like the taste. In Canet you will not find a charming small or classic outlined grand hotel. The village is family tourism oriented and this hotel fits within but is surely the better choice within Canet plage.
Nice location at the seaside. In principle the hotel is acceptable its simply if you go half an hour further to Spain you get more value for the money. Pool and restaurant is pretty compacted together. In the hotel you have more the feeling to be in a hospital then in a hotel.
Great thalasso therapy services - loved hydro therapy pool. Great location for touring around the perpignan/coastal area. would have liked tea/coffee-making facilities in room
all the many options available and the comfort and so close to the sea. The small portions of the evening meal and lack of evening entertainment.
On the website we received a rate which was 50% of the standard rate, considering the quality of the hotel this was excellent value for money. Everything about the hotel was superb.
Near the ocre nature walk and the old ocre factury. All details are well thought ... and garden has splendid light architectural interventions. Food was as well more then ok.
Dinner on the terrace, pool, quiet setting
Small hotel with interesting exterior lighting concept for pool area. Lobby, terrace and restaurant clean and elegant. Open kitchen very appealing to view - appeared very promising for the last night of a 2- week vacation in South of France. Paid extra for young child but got worst room; located at top of open public area, room carpet very dirty, tiny balcony facing garden with only 2 chairs. When requested room change they said none available but hotel clearly not full. At 7:00 am someone burned slices of bread and set off fire alarm and panic. Due to location, our room immediately filled with bitter smoke and we were offered no apology for the inconvenience but instead lied to about the cause. (I had seen the cause because I was the first one to exit the room and rush down the stairs to assess the situation-they immediately removed the charred bread and toaster). A hotel is responsible for experience of their guests; it failed our expectations & offered no compensation.
Clean and comfortable. Set in nice grounds with swimming pool. 10 mins walk to town centre. Breakfast expensive.
Walking distance to Roussillon centre, secure parking
Very clean, rooms were good size, good value for the money
1. Exceptionally friendly staff. 2. Beautiful premises and relaxing atmosphere. 3.Cuisine. 4. Swimming pool. 5. Location. The hotel is difficult to find using maps and GPS does not accept the address. The Hotel staff has found a solution of inputting absolute coordinates of the hotel and it worked fine but it is better to have this information upfront. I would recommend to place a simple map on the hotel web-site along with the absolute coordinates data and correct the road numeration in couple of travel books.
A nice hotel, clean and comfortable, lovely grounds with swimming pool, within walking distance to the center of Roussillon. I would be happy staying there a few days.
I enjoyed relaxing by the pool. Not enough staff on reception only one person could speak English. No staff manning the bar had to wait for receptionist to serve us.
The staff was very friendly and accommodating in getting us another room and helpful with directions to get out of town. The first room shown had the definite impression of being below the standard. When we asked for a better and larger room, we did get one in a better location, but with an auxiliary bed on the wall, covered up by a sheet, still showing the legs, which did not look very pleasant.
Moder\tely quiet and gtenerous breakfast Very poor decorative state of repair for the level of rating.
Found our stay to be comfortable, relaxing with the use of extensive facilities in neighbouring sister resorts. Maintenance of room facilities was a bit slow.
great resort hotel and enjoye the complex greatly
We liked the size of the room and the ease of parking - in particular, the inclusive breakfast was excellent. The staff were off-hand, bordering on rude. We had to wait an hour on arrival as our room was not ready. (We arrived after the scheduled arrival time.) We were given no apology and no indication as to when it would be ready. The view from our room was poor - we overlooked a busy roundabout.
The breakfast Over priced, small room, not well equiped ,noisey at the front
Our stay went fine, however i am not happy that i have returned home today to discover the hotel has charged me twice for my stay-(strangely usin two different company names). If these are the sort of antics your aents get up to i will have to re consider booking on line with your company again. nice leisure center too far from the beach and not easy to access the beach, rooms not value for the price
Nothing - it was horrendous and the first room we were checked in to was so disgusting that we had to be moved immediately Everything - The Hotel was not clean and extermely over priced it should have been at least half the price we paid and the star rating removed completely. I doubt it has been inspected for rating for many years!
The location of this hotel is great, just a few blocks from the beach and centrally located in Canet. The staff and mgmt are very attentive and courteous. Lovely local area with shops and restaurants, not to mention the beach. I didn't care for the shower with no shower curtain. The staff/mgmt. Could have a better supply of English brochures and information: nearly everything and every spoken word was in French.
The staff were very pleasant and helpful, the location was excellent- very close to the beach, retaurants etc having a hotel car park was good as parking is very congested in the town. Decor past its best, rather shabby
Good location, available parking Rooms quite small and dark
The staff was very friendly and helpful The net curtains were dirty or stained not sure which one. The linen was not changed on a regular basics and the bathroom was only cleaned every second day, but not very well...... the carpet was badly stained......
The staff were very friendly, the room clean and comfortable and the beach was within walking distance. No
There was a wardrobe right near the bed so I bumped into it with my hand during the sleep all the time which I do not consider as a nice comfortable night. The hotel a bit old.
Good Hotel, Helpful staff and an excellent location
Freindly servive. Very close to beach and resort centre.
Location good. Staff helpful despite the fact we couldnt speak French. A very relaxed atmosphere.
staff very pleasant. Rooms very clean. Air conditioning. Had a balcony which did not expect so nice surprise. Good location close to very pleasant harbour
Easy to find, just behind the Marina. Reception was very welcoming and the other staff were very helpful and friendly. The bedrooms were clean, well furnished with an excellent heating/air-con system. Comfortable beds and a good buffet breakfast. Very near the small town which has a good selection of restaurants - to suit all pockets. Well worth a visit.
Reasonable location, easy access to the beach. Friendly staff. Unfortunately, the bed was very soft & there was no hairdryer in the room.
Excellent location Rooms were basic - could have been larger.Could have provided hospitlaity - kettle, tea/coffee. It would have been handy to have been able to open a window for fresh air at night. Although it had air con it was noisy as well as not good for the environment.
Two minute walk from the beach. Secluded from the main strip, so quiet at night. Excellent staff.
The owners Sophie and Alain are probably the best hosts I've ever met out of the hundreds of hotels I've stayed at. They went above and beyond to assist us with all our travel issues (unrelated to the hotel itself) and made us feel like home. Room was not very big (the huge bed was probably 75% of the room) but probably pretty standard for France.
Rooms a bit on the small side, but a fair reflection of the price.Ample parking although not covered.Close to centre.
As close to the beach as it is possible to get, and with no parking problems.Excelant location for anyone with a problem walking. We thought 10 euros for our dog was a wee bit steep!
Very friendly staff, with 24hr access to front desk. Brilliant value for money
Spacious room and en suite... Staff were extremely helpful despite language barrier... We upgraded the room so we could have air conditioning due to the high temperatures hoever this was not working. We raised the issue with the maid who said she would fix however this was not done.
It is very close to the beach, very clean and comfortable.
The Rooms were comfortable and clean with an excellent view of the sea. The Breakfast selection was very good. A Mini-Bar/Fridge would be a good addition, especially in the summer months.
Quiet location close to nice beach, restaurants within walking distance.Helpfull staff. Parking charge expensive, small room.No air con.
Excellent location approximately 150 metres from extensive beach. Very clean with friendly staff.
We nice and calm place. The hotel was we well located and provided sufficient facilities necessary for stay. Though the prices are pretty over rated. According to the website the check in was from morning 11 to evening 8. We had planned everything accordingly. But when we reached there they tell us that the website is wrong and that check in is possible only after 5pm. We had to basically wait till then with our luggage. Was great inconvenience. And the pool also was inoperative.
Beach hotel with friendly staff. Clean and comfortable. Relaxing and quiet. They even have pet guinea pigs. Nothing.
Hotel location directly towards the beach. Unbelievable view out of our room over the sea. Very very small breakfast. Better to go in one of the several shops around.
The hotel's guinea pigs and being across the road from the beach. No hand basin in the toilet which was seperate from the main shower room.
I am disabled, the ramps were good, but no grib-rails or shower rails or showerstool in bathroom, the whole time there I was unable to shower. You have to improve on the disabled side.
To be honest, not much. No parking availale.
Staff spoke English, and sorted out error with booking.com i.e didn't have our names or expecting us No
Manager v.friendly, spoke English. Heated pool and jacuzzi. No dining before April, but breakfast excellent, though usual tea out of machine, did not try it, stuck to coffee!!! No heating in room, only in foyer, but v. comfortable bed & facilities. After 9 p.m. hotel accessed by code, reception empty off season. worked out ok. Emergency nos. by 'phone in room.
the room was excellent with all facilities as mentioned on the website.the staff were very obliging. i had requested a high floor and a quiet room and that's what i was given! a really good holiday. it would have been useful to have been given pool towels.
The bathrooms had been recently renovated and were absolutely lovely. The shower is very hot and has good pressure. My room was near the lift which made it a very noisy stay with very disturbed sleep. The air conditioning wasn't working and wasn't fixed until the 5th day of my stay and when it was fixed it was extremely noisy. The toilet was also running constantly. I placed two complaints but it was never fixed so I had to just turn the taps off at night.
The location adjacent to the beach and shops was ideal. The staff were friendly and very helpful in an imaculate kept hotel. The indoor pool and spa facilities were a real bonus experience. The only thing missing from a perfect stay was the fact there were no Tea/coffee making facilities in the room. With our fantastic balcony sea view a nice cuppa would have gone down perfectly.
Very good central location. Overlooked the beach
very close to beach
I like the site and the view.
Well, when we got there the staff where nice. But the carpets to the rooms where very stained. It smelt like someting was damp and when i opend the room door, it stank. It smelt like mold or somthing had been left wet in there for days. My hubbie had to get a different room. It was much better but i would not stay there again with my family. Sorry to say as the staff where nice but it was just not kept up. I know it in an old town but if your offering a service, make it a good one. Thanks
We were very disappointed. The hotel needs major updates. The lobby, pool and other areas were very run down.
Checked in at 10PM and ate at Ledo. Went to room and young people all over-hanging out and running around. Cleaning staff all over-talking. Room dirty. Went to bed @11PM and pounding on door next to us and couple screaming and fighting and child crying. After 15 minutes of this, we pack up and go to desk. Wait 20 minutes and nobody comes. Go back to room and leave first thing in AM.
The elevators needed a lot of work, the elevators only worked half of the time. A couple of people got stuck in the elevator for a half of an hour they had to call the fire department to get the elevator to work and that wasn't the first time that happened. Also the breakfst was ok, the scrambled eggs could bounce they had a big assortment of food. They have temperpedic beds, and nice bathrooms but when you take a shower it would flood the bathroom and sink area. I would probably go there again if they fix all of those mistakes!
The Holiday Inn in Downtown Wilmington should be ashamed of itself. First of all, the hotel was completely misrepresented on the internet. The lobby, the halls, and the room were drab and not clean. The cleaning staff's equipment was present in the halls all throughout the day and night of our stay, but I do not think they were utilized on the rooms. The pool and hot tub were not heated. The staff was unprofessional and not courteous. The only positive thing I can write about this hotel is its proximity to Colonial Williamsburg and Busch Gardens.
This is the nastiest Holiday Inn we have ever stayed in! The red tile floors and many sections of carpet were absolutely filthy! The pool water was cloudy and puddles of dirty water surrounded the pool. The carpet in the room and the elevator looked like they hadn't been vaccumned in weeks. The bathtub had hair in it and there was mold on the shower curtain. I wouldn't stay at this hotel if it was free! We spoke with the manager soon after arrival, but saw no chnge in the 2 days we were there.
I don't know where to begin. Staff was below average. The pool was very dirty, the water was green, cloudy and it smelled. The building is in serious need of repairs. On the upper floors their are stairs in the hall making moving your luggage quit a choir. We could not find a luggage cart. Some of the rooms side on the indoor pool and can be very loud. The windows did not close all the way in the room. House cleaning were cleaning rooms all hour of the night and day. Just don't stay there.
Not the Holiday Inn quality we are used to. Several things broken...elevator, spa heater, ice machine. Pool and spa water very dirty (cloudy and green). Coffee maker was only 1 cup at a time, no fridge (had to use a trash can as a cooler). AC stuck on low. Had to ask the front desk 3 times for pool towels, took over an hour.
my widows faced the indoor pool, that was packed with kids from 9am to 11 pm.
Hotel is outdated.Appears to have been a smaller hotel that they added two buildings to,resulting in what used to be an outdoor pool becoming an indoor, and seemingly open to the public based on how many people left the hotel lot after the pool closed.B'fast is only meal restaurant serves,so kids eat free is out the window after 11.No fridges in room, broken ice machines everywhere. Not what they show themselves to be in their info,I will not be back.
HOUSEKEEPING: Lack of towels-No dusting/sweeping-Lack of Amedities. Door left ajar a couple of times after maid service. No HBO schedule for July.SERVICES: Elevator works only 5 of 7 days-Lobby's complimentary coffee only get filled once in the morning!-One ice machine of three works 30% of the time. One room got flooded and ran into the indoor pool (where did the water come from?
Mas Latour Lavail is a GORGEOUS renovated villa. It only has 5 rooms total so you practically have the entire place to yourselves. The owner lives on the property and is exceptionally friendly. The staff is so kind and helpful and went out of their way to help our group of 9 with three small kids. The hotel is out of the main city and you will need a car or taxi to access. It is down narrow roads (sometimes dirt) depending on which way you approach. I was a little nervous driving there at first given the roads, but was pleasantly surprised upon arrival at how beautiful it wad despite the remote location.
The staff were very friendly and polite. The breakfast was OK. We were very disappointed, this does not deserve the Mercure name or the 3 stars - very small, cramped room, hardly any floor space. It was cold outside and the room was extremely difficult to heat due to bad insulation. Their web site mentions cable/satellite television, but we only had access to free French channels. The other ones programmed said "signal is coded". We assume the hotel didn't want to pay the subscription in the off season. Of the inaccessible programmed ones, we noticed that there were no English-speaking ones (or other languages for that matter). Also there was publicity for a Mercure deal of "great wine by the glass" at the bar but the choice was poor, the local one offered would never be considered a great French wine
I found the staff to be extremely pleasant and helpful. My room had a splendid location overlooking the Mediterranean. The breakfast was excellent and the fact that room service was available was a very good point.
A good stop off for the long distance traveller, lovely beach location for those who love beaches. The nearby town is not the best place to eat with little choice for the more mature traveller.
Reception was courteuos, friendly and helpful. The continental breakfast was first class and the staff were helpful and friendly. The location was excellent, as well as being on the beach front, it was located just far enough away from the hustle and bustle of the square for peace and quiet, but only a 10 minute walk to the centre of activity.
beach is beautiful but not the hotel Breakfast is too poor for the price. There is sufficient parking. Classification of the *** is too demanding. A classification of ** was more than enough.
Close to beach. Beside the main streets = calm. Expensive breakfast. Small pool area, chairs in shadow before noon. Our non-smoking room had a strong smell of smoke.
Consistently good value and reliability Nothing
Friendly and cooperative staff always there to help. Ease of secure access out of hours to bothy the Hotel and the Car Park. The description of the 'balcony' was not as expected in the room we were given, but this did not affect the enjoyment of our stay.
The food was better than expected for the hotel rating, and the heated/covered swimming pool was a nice. The bed was too firm, and any noise made by other guests could be heard in our room.
Convenient for beach and restaurants. Junior suite did not have a balcony. Some of the staff not very helpful.
Quite the worst hotel we have ever stayed in. Nothing
Proximity to beach and facilities
Friendly Staff and cleanliness of hotel The hotel was fine but full of youn english rugby players on tour with their entourage, very noisy
