Awesome jacuzzi tub! No breakfast included. Had to pay extra for parking.
This is close to the slopes and is a fantastic hotel with walking distance of everything in the ski village and with shuttle service to town. The bathroom was dirty. There was long black hair covering the shower, sink and floor of the bathroom. The hair also was clogging the shower drain making us wonder if the room had been cleaned. We ended up using a towel to clean the bathroom as no one answered the phone at the front desk at 11:00 pm.
Clean and nice staff!
Great location. The Palo room has no bed! The pullout sofa bed is really uncomomfortable.
The restaurant was awful, coconut shrimp started like cardboard, chickem taste like fish at steamboat and the barista gave small portions of starbucks....be prepared to wait to eAt during any season
The slope at Steamboat talk for themselves! Now the Grand let me just say this place goes out of there way to give you the best experience possible. Room service was fast, my girl the second day in torn her ACL and the Grand's staff on a regular basis brought her ice , the shuttle made special trips with her to get her mess downtown! I never stayed at a nicer place before ! Awesome job Grand ! I didn't like that I forgot my swimsuit to jump in their beautiful pool!
The customer service at the Steamboat Grand was outstanding. All of my interactions with their staff was nothing short of wonderful. Everyone was extremely professional, knowledgeable, and kind. The people alone would bring me back to the Grand. Our room was lovely and we were able to upgrade our second night for a small additional charge--Our room extension was top notch. Went to The Cabin for breakfast our first morning and was not blown away by the service nor food. I would have appreciated more attentiveness from our server (however a number of groups were dining at the same time) and the food was not necessarily impressive, however our overall meal was not bad, just average which was a bit of a letdown as the rest of the Steamboat Grand was absolutely lovely.
Great facilities, clean, spacious rooms, great views, reasonable price during off-season (September). Our room was ready 3 hours early which really helped us out. Swimming pool closed too early, although during off-season I understand there's probably not enough people to warrant it being open after 10:30pm.
Was pleasantly surprised that the room had a kitchenette complete with full sized fridge, stove and oven. Looking forward to going back.
Location and friendly staff Not enough towel racks in bathroom
Clean rooms, clean bathrooms, quite, close to couple of restaurants and fun things to do with the kids. bed are comfy as well. Nothing.
The facilities and staff are very nice. Room was very comfortable and a good sized patio allowed a nice way to enjoy outdoors. A lot of families with kids. The kids ran around without much adult supervision and even though the game room was for 16+ unless accompanied by an adult, the parents made it a dumping ground for their kids so we couldn't really a joy the nice game room.
very nice facilities and location self park in basement allows only vehicles under 6'6" which seems crazy for a ski resort where every vehicle will have a ski rack. So, we had to pay for valet or walk to a self park.
Not the fanciest place but it was nice for a brief overnight stay. Close to the ski slopes and a free bus ride away from the downtown hub of Steamboat.
The woman at the front desk was wonderful. The location was super convenient and the rooms were clean. Not much of a breakfast selection, but hey, it was free!
Friendly check in staff. Clean, large size rooms. Back side facing rooms have lovely views. Would definitely stay here again. Nice and quiet location, set well-back from the main road. It was a little difficult to find; they probably need a sign near the Steamboat Hotel, pointing back toward the Lodge. Breakfast was a little sparse on choices, but it was nice to have coffee.
Clean good price close to everything.
simple, clean, well priced breakfast is meager: no eggs, no sausage or bacon, no fruit other than apples and oranges (i.e. no "fresh" fruit).
Room was clean and comfortable. Parking was easy. Close to everything. Staff was pleasant. No problems whatsoever and would stay here again. Not sure if this was in every room, but the entry into our room was a bit tight. Seemed like the entry door to our room opened up directly into a small open closet area.
Friendly staff Relatively easy access to mountain Hot tub Spacious rooms Good value A little confusing to find Breakfast could use a little protein Drive to town for dinner
About 2 miles outside of town, so not really walking distance to the main street. However, the hotel was quiet, hall carpets and rooms were very clean. I would definitely stay here again.
Very clean sheets and room wasn't bad. Breakfast was almost empty when we arrived but was filled up. Would have been nice to have it full when we got there.
Simple but nice little lodge. Decent size room. Clean. Friendly staff. There was a minor mix up with our reservation because we booked through a 3rd party site. The lady at the front desk (I didn't get her name) was very helpful and straightened it out quickly. We are extremely appreciative as the mix up could have made our trip much less enjoyable. I would definitely stay there again.
The hotel was over pretty clean. The staff was rude and unwelcoming. The bathroom was extremely small.
The hotel is clean, the rooms are inexpensive, and the staff is great! They need to enforce the no smoking policy as our room and one down the hall reeked of marijuana.
Nice clean new room
Your reception person was very interested in making my stay comfortable and accommodating. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. It was quiet and I slept well. Your website leaves a lot to be desired. I had to book through a second party which cost me more money. It was a bit antiquated and needs updating.
Clean, comfortable. Steamboat Springs has so much to offer there is no reason to sit inside a luxury hotel room. Mathis hotel was inexpensive and basic. All one needs
I have stayed here many times. There is nothing fancy about this hotel, but all I need is a bed and bathroom when I come to steamboat. I am in Steamboat to enjoy the out of doors, not my hotel. Rooms are clean. Check in was fast. Hop on the walking trail and walk along the yampa river 4 miles into town. The hotel is also on the free bus route. I noticed there was a very small pool and also a hot tub, but I did not utilize either. This hotel fits my needs perfectly.
The rooms were clean and had a refrigerator. The staff was helpful. I left my bathing suit in the bathroom and they found it and kept it for me until I could come get it. The room was chilly, because the air conditioner wasn't covered and there wasn't a thermostat in the room.
Staff was helpful. They do not have any type of breakfast and that is important with young children.
Very quiet, clean and comfortable. Reasonally priced and would stay again.
Rooms were clean. Walls were thin. Limited Parking.
Room was great Lack of attention to morning coffee stand out of creamers not replaced, parking a problem with M/C taking one spot instead of sharing a spot.
Definitely not the best hotel we have stayed in, but for the price and being able to bring our dog with us it worked out just fine. The room had kind of a weird smell and the beds could have been a little more comfortable, but like I said before, for the price it was alright. -smell of the room -beds not very comfortable -no microwave -no way to adjust the temperature (no thermostat in the room)
The room was extremely clean the staff was extremely friendly and the location worked so well for the sporting events we were attending. I would say all around the best bang for our buck. May be easier access from the back parking lot to the rooms. If that's all I could think of that's a pretty good stay.
Friendly and helpful staff. Super pleasant and warm environment.
Nice clean room, and a comfortable bed. Great location, perfect for our ski getaway. Really enjoyed how helpful the staff were. A bit loud, with lots of other lodgers.
The stag at this hotel are very friendly and helpful. Room was very clean and breakfast was great!
The Nordic Lodge was an extermely good value. Very clean, courteous Staff, generous contiental breakfast, rockstar location steps from free bus stop and restaruants. Definitely will stay here again. Heat not on when we arrived but it warmed up quickly;I understand why this was done and had no problem with it
I went there with a skiing trip along with some people from my school. I found it amazing and really youngster-friendly!
The room had a great view of the mountain and we enjoyed the breakfast. Good value.
We were here for a long Labor Day weekend and enjoyed this hotel thoroughly. The hotel is on the south side of town so it was easy to find, though less convenient given that we had to drive a few minutes each time we came and went. The staff was great and very welcoming, and the guy at the front desk when we checked in had several excellent suggestions for dining and drinking. Aside for a high-efficiency toilet that was as loud as a 747 (but clean and working well) we had zero complaints and would definitely return to the Fairfield on our next stay in the 'Boat.
We had a very enjoyable stay and the staff was very friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to others.
Was in Steamboat for a wedding and needed a hotel in which to crash after the wedding. This was a GREAT choice. Clean, very large rooms, nice staff, fair price, etc. Would definitely stay there again. Arrived early (before advertised check-in time) and the desk clerk moved us to a room that was cleaned and ready.
Dirty room, non existing vacuuming , just overall, B.A.D.
Located about a mile south of town and out of the traffic and noise. This hotel was a pleasant surprise. Cleanliness is the message here. I would definitely stay here on my next trip to Steamboat!
I' ve stayed at many Fairfield Inn's and the staff members have always been extremely friendly and helpful. This one did not disappoint! The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the breakfasts were adequate (although the breakfast sandwiches weren't the greatest). Hot coffee was always available in the lobby, and the shuttle service to the ski resorts were nice to have. We got a much greater bang for our buck staying here (just 5 minutes from the mountain) than our friends staying mountainside. We'll definitely stay here again!
I was skeptical after reading the reviews, but a friend encouraged me to book there. He had a good stay in 2008 and said it was worth going to. He was right - great price, family friendly, clean, big rooms courteous staff. I will go back.
Stayed one night to attend a hockey coaching clinic. My room was big and clean. The bed was very comfortable. Still rockin' out the old school CRT TV's though. Free breakfast was good, had Jimmy Dean breakfast sandwiches and homemade breakfast burritos.. Would stay there again.
We just stayed here for our honeymoon. It is in town and close to the slopes and the free shuttle will take you wherever you like.I am extremely picky about hotel rooms, and I found the accomodations to be very clean and comfortable, I would higly reccomend this hotel to anyone.
Great bed and I liked the free buffet Hot tub was to small
Friendly Staff, good (and free!) breakfast
King bed was crazy comfy, almost missed first chair. Free breakfast was surprisingly good. Staff was awesome. Pool and spa area could use a remodel for sure.
Friendly and smiling staff, free breakfast, inexpensive and close to downtown Steamboat and even closer to the slopes. Rooms are clean and furniture looks new. Good clean bathroom.
Location is perfect for us for visiting family and the rooms are clean, but the friendliness of the people who work at the Quality Inn is by far the best attribute of the Inn. Especially Mickey and Sara !
If you're looking for a clean, comfortable room to drop your bags and go, this is your place! The location is walking distance to everything on Lincoln Ave./ HWY 40. This is not your place if you want to hang out in your room, or for kids as sound travels in this historic hotel. It was a great for my husband and I who just wanted a clean, conveniently located place to sleep and shower before we moved on to our next adventure. Not really negatives, just reality. Not handicapped accessible as it is a historic building with stairs, narrow hallways/walkways, and small rooms. Also, thank goodness there weren't families or unruly guests because sound travels, again because it's a small historic boutique hotel. No fault on them, it's just what it is.
Great location. Wifi was spotty at best in an area where cell coverage is the same.
It isn't fancy, but it is a great place to stay. The location couldn't be better - just walk outside to the lift or play on the creek or eat at restaurants. A short bike or car ride will take you downtown. The staff is so helpful and friendly. Really happy we stayed there.
Friendly staff. Walking distance to a lot of things. Area was beautiful. They say they are pet friendly but they don't tell you until you arrive that you are not allowed to leave your dog in the room unattended. "Pet friendly" is a little deceiving and it made the stay a little more difficult. I would have liked for them to let us know about this ahead of time. Pet fee was reasonable though!
Best part was the comfortable blanket. Location great ..by gondola. Everything else.. I rate location a 10. Everything else a 1. Very uncomfortable bed. Pool looked dirty. Floor and carpets very worn.. Clunker tvs and clunker computers in lobby that looks like 20 yrs old...room compatible to a motel 6 or worse..way overpriced in my opinion...
Price/ pool A tad noisy due to small children running the halls and numerous babies
I would not recommend this hotel for any reason. Steamboat has both condos and hotels for less money Broken toilet, cracked floor, strong odor in room. Broken furniture.
It is an okay hotel with everything you need as well as free continental breakfast. It is away from downtown steamboat springs and we would have to drive quite a distance for everything. We stayed at the hotel when the ski season was just over. There is no restaurant and nothing to do around the lift base area and we need to drive to downtown for food and supply.
Staff was very friendly. Was in poor maintenance. Ugly old carpet. Bed was very hard.
Free breakfast and very friendly staff. The decor in the room was dated. They had a tube TV and a VHS player.
Very clean. Staff was helpful, and we enjoyed having a continental breakfast. no pool
Location is great right downtown Rooms are very dated and not very clean
Location was good and bed was comfortable. Had a noisy air-conditioner and did not have good sound insulation. I could hear the guy next door talking until he went to bed and then as soon as he woke up.
The Staff were very friendly and helpful. We had a person in the next room talking very loudly on their phone at 11:30 at night. I called the front desk and asked it they would please help us out and within 10 minutes "Problem solved" and we were back to sleep. We also liked the continental breakfast, that really helps out families on a budget. The Old town hot springs is right across the Street from Rabbit Ears, and our Motel had all day passes at a great discount. We will be back and stay there again, thank you.
Helpful staff, convenient location, comfortable & spacious room. N/A.
Nice place to stay. You can walk to anyplace in town for great food, shopping and entertainment. Quite, clean, and friendly. We loved the view of the Yampa river. We can't wait to come back.
