Property is beautiful with ginormous boulders all around! Bar staff was really friendly and had lots of great advise. Food was great! Huge cacti, amazing flora and fauna - unique and beautiful!
Cons: I wish the spa would stay open later, It closed at 7 pm when we were visiting so we did not have a chance to try it. Same with the gym.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful location, delicious food, incredible hospitality and service, spa services were excellent, enjoyed the nature trails on property and the pools

Cons: N/a
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful setting with very new and modern facilities
Cons: Bell desk seemed understaffed and was somewhat disorganized
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Nice place, large clean room and very fashionable place
Cons: We have paid for room with Mountain View, but there was a building in front of as, half of the view was obscured by it. I don’t understand why they didn’t put us there, there was a direct view of the mountains
5.4 Okay
Pros: Location, pool
Cons: Rooms outdated, grounds not well maintained. Disappointed for the price
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Maid service could not speak English
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location is gorgeous. I loved the views from the room and the grounds are beautiful. The gym is very well appointed and pleasant as well, the treadmills face the windows so you can enjoy the view while you run.
7.0 Good
Pros: I liked the property, liked the pool and staff were always very helpful.
Cons: Didn’t love the location of the room. Room itself was good, but felt it was kind of like a bunker. Would have upgraded next time to a room with a better view
4.2 Okay
Pros: Location
Cons: Carefree Resort and Conference Center is in a beautiful location. For the services provided, it is overpriced. I was a bit surprised that the place is not as geared to customer satisfaction as they ought to be. I requested a room change due to many extraneous noises from rooms next door, as well as from the outside. Instead of making immediate amends even though they had available rooms, they said their system could not let me move to another room till the next day! I come to a resort to get some rest and relaxation, not to be kept up all night with various noises. As a result I could not sleep all night the first night I arrived. The next day, i had to ask again to be moved, and after persisting, they finally did. They are isolated from other restaurants, and do provide a shuttle to the downtown area. They do have a restaurant. Here too, customer service was less than desirable. I had ordered a salad (no ingredients needed to be cooked) for take out, and although they said it would take 30 min to get this, I did not get it before 50 min had gone by! 50 min wait for a fresh salad is just unbelievable. Not to mention that it came only after I reminded them of the duration of my wait. Needless to say, I expect a lot more from a place in the business of providing rest and relaxation while eliminating hassle. This did not seem to be their strong suit. I would only recommend this place if no other better accommodation is available. 3 stars.
7.6 Good
Pros: The venues for weddings is nice. Large and scenic. The BBQ dinner was good. We were put in the Villas and having the pool there was fun and convenient and all ours. Overall it was a fine experience but the resort could use a spruce up.
Cons: The wait staff was slow to respond to empty dishes on the buffet. Also, they delivered cake to a few of the tables and then seemed to stop. The handicapped rooms need to be renovated. The one my brother was in should have had higher toilets, walk in/roll in shower, no carpet, all tile and the bed was too high. Doorways were wide enough and there were ramps.
4.0 Okay
Pros: The views were stunning. The food was great. The staff was pleasant for the most part. The resort grounds were very well mantained.
Cons: Tryed to book under a wedding block but that was so difficult I booked online through a 3rd party. The room smelled horrible, cleaning staff spoke 0 english so we couldnt get clean towels or the garbage taken out. The ac in the room was extremely loud. The linens on the bed seemed unclean but again language barrier with housekeeping so it did not get resolved. While checking out I asked to speak to a manager that didnt happen and I had to catch a flight. The place is beautiful and most of the staff were pleasant overall it is not what I expected
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Views
Cons: No
8.5 Excellent
Cons: The resort itself was very nice. The only problem is, we booked through this website, but when we arrived at the hotel, they said they had never received our reservation. Thankfully, there were still rooms available, and they did honor the rate we had been quoted on this site.(I had a paper copy of the confirmation). If you book through Kayak, make sure you call the hotel before you arrive to make sure they have your reservation!!!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Loved the character and charm that was given to the room. Made it feel homey without the musty smell of an older hotel.
Cons: Nothing to report. This was a great experience and would recommend to others for stays.
3.0 Mediocre
Cons: Room was musty smelling, bed and pillows were hard and uncomfortable. For the money there should gave been a coffee maker - not even a cup to drink water from
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location for Cave Creek. Walking distance to many shops and eating establishments. The Tumbleweed is not far from Cave Creek Regional Park; we hiked the Go John trail and fell in love with the area. Their courtyard is unique and we thoroughly enjoyed swinging on the porch swings in the gorgeous February weather. The family running the hotel want to give their guests a wonderful experience and they were attentive to our needs.
Cons: We had an unfortunate event with the neighbor next to us....kept the TV on all night. (this could happen at any hotel). This is an older establishment which adds to the charm of the experience; be prepared for fewer outlets. But we loved the "old world" theme. The décor and theme and relaxing "unplugged" vibe was totally worth not having a coffee maker in the room.
7.0 Good
Pros: It was a Beautiful place off the grid but would liked a better choice of room mircrowave coffeee stuff like that but was reall fun and safe
Cons: Up above
10.0 Excellent

4.0 Okay
Pros: Decor of room was very cute! Liked the western flair
Cons: Pool locked; looked fine, even fence which was reason No notification was given to us Previous hotel on our trip called us 2 days before to alert us pool was closed. Nothing from Tumbleweed. Compensation was refused by front desk gal. No shampoo/cond.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location, plenty of gravel parking areas, nice old west decor
4.0 Okay
Cons: No trash can in room found trash on the floor near the bed Overall it was like a low-end motel definitely not a hotel

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was awesome! The bed and breakfast property was very unique. Great value for what we paid, we want to come back!
Cons: Nothing, a little more direction on the food offered and when.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The owner was very personable, likable and personally involved in our comfort and happiness. All issues that came up were dealt with immediately. The only issues that came up were easily understood given the rustic environment and decor, so were not really issues once rectified. Any other place, such as less rustic places, and they would NOT have been rectified.
Cons: The cost was a little high, but no regrets. Nothing else to dislike. Nothing else to tell.
