7.9 Good
Pros: Super friendly staff, especially Byron!
Cons: No exhaust fan in the bathroom, but not really a big deal! It's private outdoor type naman. The smell lang sometimes takes some time to disappear. :)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was serene. The scenery was relaxing.
Cons: It’s far from the town proper. There might be untoward accidents, emergencies, God forbid.
7.9 Good
Pros: Remote location with no crowds. Quiet. Beach is empty. Incredible sunsets. Very close to Danjugan Island (recommend all-day visit). Dive shop on premises. Staff were generally friendly. Cabana was comfortable and had new windows installed. Bed quality was only okay, but linen was very clean. Great to lounge in front of cabana during the morning, before the sun got hot at midday. Good value.
Cons: Restaurant was hit-or-miss. Breakfast was meh, with poor coffee. There are no other places to eat nearby. The beach is not swimmable due to shallow tidal pools that extend around 80 meters off the shore. The access road on the Sipalay side (south) is poor. There was an unpleasant sewer smell that sometimes wafted across the property, but I never figured out the source. The dogs that roam the property, though friendly and harmless, are pretty shabby looking creatures.
7.1 Good
Pros: Beautiful and clean beach Friendly staff Good food at the restaurant
Cons: Limited internet connection. None on our last day. Housekeeping asking me where the missing face towel was. Road leading to the resort is bumpy.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The beach resort itself and the staff are friendly and accommodating. Love the view of the sunset and the coconut tree near the beach.
Cons: The road going to the resort
7.1 Good
Pros: Breakfast.
Cons: Room 34 Shower low water supply/pressure. Far from highway.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Punta Bulata was like a slice of heaven! It was just so beautifully kept and the rooms were very comfortable. Every morning, you could choose from many options for breakfast that were included in our rate. Their lunch and dinner menu was great- I highly recommend the grilled pawns and the Gambas! The staff felt like family by the end of the week and we got to meet the owner of the resort and some of his family members all who were just wonderful people. The beach was lovely and a great place for children to swim in. The tides were low during this time of year so it made for a great morning at the beach and we spent the afternoons in the pool. The highlight of the trip was taking the tour to Danjugan Island... This island is just pristinely gorgeous! I HIGHLY recommend it just so long as you respect the island as it is a protected place.
Cons: The only thing that was a problem is they ran out of several things while we were there which was a little disappointing but they had other things to choose from.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Property was secluded and private. Grounds of the property to the beach area was very well kept and plenty of shade all day was available because of the many trees close to the beach including covered areas (huts) with seating. Lovely cool breeze nearly all day came off the ocean. Great restaurant with variety of food and drinks available. Pool area was great which included area for children to paddle in. Overall the property was great.
Cons: Public Road into property was very rough (not the fault of property owner). Was told they were hoping this to be upgraded in the coming year. Mobile coverage was very poor and patchy.
6.3 Good
Pros: Abience
Cons: They advertise lots of things but can actually deliver when you ask. Like we were promised kayak hire only to be told not available due to low tide. Also the 3km Road leading to the place. You will need an off road vehicle unless you want to damage your car
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very good food and enough choice for all tastes. Though located in a quite remote place, good for relaxing stay. Beautiful sunsets! Very friendly staff and owners.
