1) Location( Nice view). 2) Tidy. 3) Stylish. 4) Romantic&Relax. No elevator.
Peace and quiet, room with a view, good food, king sized bed and spacious bathroom.
White water rafting at Bala Visited the Lake Vyrnwy sculture park and dam Swimming pool/spa facilities would be a good addition
The location of the hotel is spectacular with stunning views of the lake.
Wonderful dinner at Hotel restaurant and the view when the sun was setting. Cleaning - Bath tub was not clean on the day I checked in so I couldn't bath. Next day the cleaning had not been done. Hand towels were not changed even if they had been wet.
Location Not being able to use my laptop or mobile phone
The views are simply stunning. Get a lake view room, the extra cost is well worth it. Staff are superb and the hotel has bags of charm. We will be returning without doubt.
beautiful view from every room breakfast on the Saturday morning was poor, but on the Sunday morning was very good.
Location, food Room availability. Shabby chic was a bit too shabby and the attention to detail was lacking.
Overall good aaa
The sea views Nothing
Clean well presented room, good temperature, well laid out. None
Excellent rooms, clean and fresh, very spacious. Lovely clean and modern bathroom with powerful shower.Fantastic breakfast ,cooked to order and served to the table. No bad points
Even though we had booked the last room and knew it would be small, it was especially clean and comfortable...good night sleep and the bathroom was simple but functional and bright. The breakfast was excellent. The parking was easy. The dinner....superb. Fresh fish simply cooked and an excellent host in Ian and his wait staff. Would love to stay again. Aberdovey is a perfect weekend escape to mountain and sea and not too far to drive from the Midlands and to return home refreshed.
Good location, room with sea view, good breakfast, comfortable room, very friendly staff. No lift available for people with disability.
We really enjoyed our stay the room was well furnished very clean and comfortable and we had a superb breakfast .I would recommend it to my friends & family nothing everything was excellent
Excellent in all aspects. Was far above my expectation. Stayed there with my daughter and her opinion was the same as mine. Everything in the bedroom was a+ Breakfast was excellent. Car parking very handy Not one bad point
Great location and host. Fabulous breakfast. Large comfortable bed. Large shower. Poor choice of carpet in hall, stairway and room. Shows dirt too easily. Our room (room 2) did not have a window which we could open for ventilation. We had a fire escape door which could be opened, but I would not feel secure leaving it open while we slept.
clean and comfortable, also evening meals available in the bar area. Breakfast service could be improved.
Very helpful manageress sorting out non-working equipment on arrival Breakfast expensive for what it was.
An excellent example of a value for money hotel, we will certainly return in the future We were very satisfied with all aspects
The position overlooking the harbour. Not too stuffy. Good real ale and good pub food. Some confusion over food orders on the first night.Good breakfast but not a huge choice.
I stayed at the Dovey Inn with my wife and 6 + 8 year old children. It's a beautiful 300 year old inn over looking the harbour and Dovey estuary. The on-suite, family room was an excellent size with twin rooms, 4 beds, t.v. and tea and coffee facilities. The view from the dormer window was breathtakingly excellent. It was a well heated room despite the cold wet conditions outside. The staff were welcoming and friendly at all times. We saw many birds on the water front and the chef even provided us with a small portion of fatty roast pork for us to go crab fishing off the jetty and we won a competition and caught 116 crabs in less than 2 hours. Thank you chef!. The overall standard of cleanliness was acceptable, however my daughter was not very impressed to discover some old, used earplugs in the night stand drawer. This would not stop us from returning to the inn in the future.
Hotel in an excellent location. View from bedroom superb. Room decor delightful. Room very hot - not being able to open the window a disadvantage. Shower quite complicated to organise. While bathroom was beautiful and modern, simple practical things probably work best in a hotel.
Good location, friendly staff and good value for money Unfortunately the hotel suffered from lack of staff during the busy periods which lead to poor service, especially when trying to buy a drink ! Some people, ourselves included could be waiting for 10-15 mins to get served.
We were pleasantly surprised about the standard of accommodation - it was of a very high standard. The view was great and the staff friendly. It was extremely good value for money. ~None
Cleanliness and decor excellent, beds and linen comfortable and warm. Bathroom large, modern and very clean with large towels. Plenty of drawers and wardrobe space. Television and information plentiful, lovely welcome, Couldn't fault any of it. Not sure if the hair dryer was working properly but it was up to me to have reported it. No hotel parking but we got the hang of the public pay meter further down the road £3.50 for 4hrs and over, free from 6pm to 8am
Bedrooms tastefully decorated, with a very nice breakfast room All fine
Beautiful old style in a lovely countryside No complaints
Great reception from staff Rooms require refurbishment, however this has already been acknowledged by current new owners
Food was superb, was well looked after by staff. Just a really lovely place to stay! None!!
Excellent staff. Good breakfast and catering for wedding function attended. Unique hotel in nice location. Rooms desperately need refurbishment. For that rate you should get better rooms.
Service was excellent, food was very good. Room was spacious and very well presented. None
Friendly staff, very helpful and attentive. nice clean room, nice and comfortable stay.
The open fire and the staff.
The friendliness and professionalism of the staff was first class. Very comfortable room, good facilities. Excellent value for money.
The lounge is cosy, the fire place very inviting especially winter time, staff friendly, food fresh and generous potions, Room 7, curtains dated, no full/half length mirror, no stool at the dressing table, no light by the sink
Superb food, good value. Drinks very reasonably priced. Poor tv in room, computer monitor that didnt really work
A great hotel with beautiful gardens, superb interiors, calm location, convenient access to both mountains and the see, excellent meals and hospitality of staff. I am confident to recommend this hotel to anybody who would like to enjoy relaxed holiday.
staff attentive and friendly and communal rooms comfortable bedroom too small and I would have expected a larger than 4'6" bed, the unusual request by the waitress for the time of your appearance at breakfast. The food was tasty but chefs appear to try too hard combine food tastes.
I was not very impressed with the cleanliness of the room it was fithy I have taken photographs as evidence and will be complaining directly to the hotel. I was advised by your staff that we would receive a luxury room of 32sqmtr this was not the case when I asked on booking about breakfast in bed was advised yes and that on arrival we could only have continental breakfast. The breakfast was awful bacon so crispy that if I put my fork into it it would have shattered all over the restaurant, scrabbled eggs not cooked properly. The prices for the three course evening meal was disgusting £40.00 per head. Bar prices were ridiculous how can you justify a pint of Budweiser and a Jim Beam and Pepsi total price £10.20 riciculous. Very Comfortable. Lots of nice finishing touches. Nothing springs to mind.
Beautiful hotel, stunning location and grounds. Very friendly staff. Only fault I can find is that the toilet in our room made an awful noise when flushed (trapped air in the system I think?!)
We enjoyed the tranquility of the hotel and the stylish presentation. Also the orama of lillies was distinctive and the very comfortable room was most enjoyable Two of us had duckling which was badly cooked rendering it tough. Our TV would not work and we asked for help. However when we tried to turn it in again it would not work. The problem was that it was old epquipment that did not work properly. Our radio was not programmed in so we could not get any programmes a except static.
Very nice location. All public rooms very well presented and staff friendly None
The whole experience of staying in an old manor house with oak panelling everywhere, creaking floorboards, characteristic furniture and decor, and a romantic and relaxing atmosphere in such a beautiful setting. Excellent cuisine and wine list in the restaurant
The building - great atmosphere, the location, the food and attentive staff. Room got cold at night. Reception area not always manned - sometimes had to walk about to find someone.
Comfortable room with lovely view of the estuary. Excellent staff and super breakfast.
The accommodation was comfortable clean and airy with a view over the mountains. It was a brilliant weekend and I would reccommend it to anyone. The proprietors were very helpful and friendly as were the staff who waited on us in the dining room. The food was very tasty and nicely cooked and was served to us by a very friendly lady. We had a very enjoyable weekend.
Location. Owner friendly. Generally good facilities. Room needs upgrading - bathroom a bit small. Old style tv in room [and remote faulty] - not modern flat screen. Unable to access room until after 3pm. Room rate possibly a bit high. Not sure why notice states to return room key if you go out.
Friendly informal service. Wonderful location. Excellent room
Room was very nice and bath and shower was lovely. Food excellent
Great Location and a Hearty Breakfast
The room was very comfortable and clean. The staff were friendly and helpfull. The surroundings were outstanding
convenient location no proper coffee, limited breakfast menu - only tinned grapefruit & no fresh fruit, breakfast not possible before 8 am
The manager was friendly and helpful. The ensuite shower was very good. Lovely setting. The hotel was very damp. The bed was small and uncomfortable and the rooms were dated. The bedroom was also damp. The ensuite was small and the toilet was possibly 90cm from the bed (although it was possible to shut the ensuite door) which wasn't ideal.
Loved my room over looking the river & countryside, great to hear the birds tweet and the sheep barrrr in a morning. Had a nice evening meal and a few beers in the bar! Great for families and couples or like me on your own :-)
