I loved the treehouse feel of the upper garden view room. It was awesome that the included breakfast was actually ordering something off the menu in the restaurant. Beautiful grounds, I felt safe with the security there. The staff recommendations at the front desk were not always particularly helpful (sent us for our most expensive dinner, wrong directions for ATM, etc) - nothing super terrible, but if I have to list something that wasn't perfect, that's it.
Quiet, good setting Check out time to early.
that it was 50 feet from the water the hotel room had bugs. you cannot flush toilet paper down the drain. the water would randomly shut off. the electricity would randomly shut off. there is no TV and the wifi service is VERY slow. I would NOT recommend that anyone stay in Tulum.
Location and staff were very nice Food was inexplicably poor given the area and opportunity. Wifi never worked and rooms were totally lacking charm. The area is rich in simple delicious cuisine and charming rooms but this hotel did not care to embrace those traditions.
This hotel felt like home. The food in the restaurant is very good and the vibe is relaxed and unpretentious. The hammock groves, garden & bach were beautiful.
Sophisticated and relaxed vibe.
The staff were so accommodating and helpful. The breakfast was huge! Beach was quiet and nice. At the end of the beach so the drive into town was a little further than it could have been. The breakfast starts at 8 which is too late if you want to go diving...we had to ask for it to go and were frustrated with how long it took when we were in a rush
A/C in an area where almost no hotel has it. Nope
The relaxed vibe, great staff and amazing location on the beach.
Beautiful location. We loved the yoga class. The breakfast was amazing No coffee before 8:00. Hard on us early risers.
Staff and location perfect ...
Couldn't find our check in then tried to charge us twice Had us call third party travel booking to sort it out. Rooms are dirty Nothing
The dreams motel will not allow you to book anything on the property without enduring their time share sales pitch for hours. The food was barely edible. Nothing worked, there were insects everywhere in every room and if you upgrade your room to a "suite", then you're surely to be disappointed by a living room the size of a hornets nest...tiny. The staff ignores do not disturb signs - repeatedly. And if you expect to meet other guests, then be prepared for a redneck riviera from red states - I thought I was in an episode of party down south, with a hint of white trash. To compound all this, the hotel is near to NOTHING. Dreams must have purchased emir awards (not uncommon). Do yourself a favor and stay at Be Tulum or Ana y Jose.
Nothing. Overpriced, cheesy and extremely unaccommodating staff. Also, it has no right to call itself in tulum.
I liked the views and the main grounds The rooms and amenities were not satisfactory. Too expensive for what it is.
I like the room. The food was not that great and the pool was small. Not really much to do for children.
Nothing like it! A true adventure! There were a few water leaks from the above tree houses and the house music from other hotels made it hard to sleep one night.
Construction noise from 7am to 8pm
View Do not book this hotel online!!!!! We had an extremely negative experience, from not receiving the room we reserved online through Kayak. What made matters worse was Donovan, the front desk manager, addressed the situation with a very condescending tone and lack of professionalism. In the end, we never received the room we initially booked or any discount due to the fact that we had booked a higher priced room. We also witnessed other guests having similar issues with online booking, one in particular was turned away at night because the hotel was overbooked. In addition, the hotel has a small "beach", which is shared by a camping site and another hotel. The beach is full of seaweed and rocks. Fortunately for us, Tulum is such a beautiful place that we were able to enjoy ourselves, despite our stay in Azulik. If you are considering Tulum, we suggest you book elsewhere.
The large room (11) was beautifully decorated, we had a view of the ocean, king size bed, indoor and outdoor bathtub. The room was clean, free coffee all day long, free pastries and fruit. Quiet and peaceful. Very friendly staff. We spent 4 days with intermittent hot water, cold water at peak times before they changed the boiler. Don't leave any food in the room - critters come in and poop everywhere if you do. The bed was not very comfortable. The hotel's response to the hot water problem was not good: First we were told the guests before us did not have this problem. Three times they said it was fixed and to wait for 20-30 minutes but it took 2 hits for the water to get hot. Finally they changed the boiler.
Location. Right on the beach. Even though we weren't beachfront we had a great view from the hammock on our front porch. Large room was nice too. Good price for all inclusive. Friendly staff. Constant loud music at the pool bar ruins the ambiance of a romantic and relaxing atmosphere. We had to move down the beach to get away from it and we are not old people. Plus we could hear it in our rooms. Pavo wants to be a party location for young people with a second rate bar and outdoor dance floor which is what any hotel can do when they should be concentrating on the fact that they have one of the most beautiful locations and views in Mexico that most don't have. If I wanted to dance I could go to a club. I checked in to relax. Also do away with adjoining rooms. We could hear EVERY word said and every action in the adjoining room since it was only a single door. Also security guards were constantly annoying us because we didn't want to wear our bracelets 24/7. Aggravating. That keeps the staff rating from being excellent.
Loved the location and size. The food was the only disappointment. The same menu daily lacking the greatness that was expected from such a fabulous boutique hotel.
Everything! Setting, service, accommodations and food were all awesome! Can't think of anything that could be done better. Beach and activities were outstanding - snorkeling, kayaking and paddle boarding just in front of hotel was tremendous. That I only had 5 nights there.
That it had running water, otherwise it was a complete disaster Beds food staff gallery cleanliness
I liked that it was clean I didn't like that they give you a bracelet to wear when you check in, and if you lose it they charge you 100 dollars and if you don't pay they lock you in the gate with your rental car and your girlfriend has to jump in the front seat and drive the car out while you hold the huge a gate and the guard tries to stand in the way of girlfriend at the wheel (she'll kill you) and if this is actually a success then they radio the police at the next traffic stop down the road and force you to come back and pay.
Food was horrible. The hotel is not the beach but it makes it sound like it is. You need to take a shuttle to actually lay on the beach. Rooms were very large and clean for most part. Some of my friends had a lot of trouble with their hot water and water pressure.
Staff was extraordinary!!! Especially " Angel" you are the Best!!!
The staff was friendly and the resort itself was beautiful. Awful food. Hard Bed / Mattress. Dirty linens and towels. No cell service or wifi on property(except lobby). No ocean view rooms on this property (the view is blocked by trees). Ants in our room daily. We shortened our stay. Couldn't wait to get out. This property is worth 2 stars at best.
All inclusiveness and he quality of the meals Staff need little bit more training in service and certain high end service customs.
pool, views, ambiance, rooms, service coffee and wine
The rooms are very rustic and romantic. The staff are lovely but sometimes hard to find. There is sometimes no one there to help you and no reception or communal area.
Located in the middle of the Tulum Eco hotel strip. Wonderful places to eat within walking distance. Beach is beautiful. No crowds, not touristy. Staff very helpful. Beach disco two establishments north was very noisy on Saturday night but I understand it is not booked every weekend. Be aware that hot water is limited and will last for about 4 to 6 short showers.
the water in the taps is salt water, which isn't mentioned anywhere, the staff doesn't speak a word in english
The room was very relaxing and beautiful. The Selavar (?) room, however is not on the beach but very close. It was very quiet and romantic. The bed was extremely comfortable and the bathroom lovely. The shower was salty and the hot water ran out on the second shower, so take quick showers. We could not find anyone on the property for our questions or if we needed anything.
The Azucar was a pleasant surprise, The location was 20 steps from the beach, the rooms were clean and comfortable and the caretaker and his family were a delight. This is the perfect place to stay for the independent traveler.
best beach front view of all the hotels on the Tulum beach
Excellent location. Friendly and helpful staff. The wi-fi connection didn't work for the whole time that we were there. Be aware that bugs can get into the room. The net around the bed wasn't very effective.
Beautiful setting, very eco-conscious, relaxing, easy to find. Comfortable bed, spacious, clean. No "front desk". Difficult to communicate needs with staff (language barrier). Had to provide tech support to get WiFi working, but in the end the wifi was acceptable. We had a kitchen that could have had a few more utensils to be useful.
azucar ws great, clean and comfortable - situated in the middle, but quiet... which is what we were looking for. not good water pressure -
Beautiful location (Selvamar-room, which didn't have a sea view, but was only a few steps from the beach and which was lying in a very well maintained garden!), very romantic decoration, eco, clean and quiet beach, security at the beach all night long; Top! No reception
Amazing view, large private patio, brick oven pizza, only dock in area, a/c was great working and a must, comfortable pillow-top bed. Updated rooms, very safe area, walkable to a senote, amongst large private homes and a guarded area. Felt very safe parking our vehicle there. Amenities stated Egyptian Cotton Sheets, they were microfiber. No real water pressure in shower. No hot water shower, bath towels stiff, not soft.
Thank you Ana y Jose! Spent our 10 year anniversary in Tulum. Ideal location. So relaxing. Very attentive staff. Patron room made us feel like VIPs!
The hotel made the trip! The staff was so kind, hotel was beautiful, and felt at peace staying there. Great location, too!
The extra attention to the smallest of details, all employees was super nice and professional, the suite was beautiful and had it all- a great huge bad, 2 (!) showers, decorated in good taste and of course the amazing little garden with the private pool.. The "jungle" between the suites was beautiful, the restaurant on the edge of the beach..and of course the beach! Just 1 min from the farest of suites. It was the perfect vacation, peaceful and tranquil. Would go back in a minute! There wasn't strong wi-fi, it's not that bad but could be improved
I was extremely happy with my stay at Be Tulum. The very helpful staff were the highlight for me. It is a wonderful location and I was sorry I couldn't stay longer.
Absolutely stunning architecturally, fabulous beach, impeccable cleanliness and comfort, food was delicious. Staff very friendly. none.
The entire staff was wonderful, caring, genuine and made us feel like we were they're most valued guests.
The attention for the staff and de hotel it´s was a wonderful experience
