10.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean, friendly, simple breakfast, cheap as chips. There is nothing to fault. Thanks for a lovely stay.
Cons: Nothing
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice location and good value
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Good value for money - accommodation is fairly basic, but had all that we needed. Close to Granada and easy drive up to Sierra Nevada. Having cafeteria downstairs was a bonus - lovely fresh cakes and pastries
Cons: Would be great to have one or two more options for breakfast (e.g. croissant).
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Good location to get to central Granada and up to Sierra Nevada. Good value hotel and would book again.
Cons: A little bit noisy at night with the street and people in other rooms either dragging suitcases or furniture around but nothing the hotel can do about that.
4.0 Okay
Pros: It's cheap so an ok option if you are desperate to save money Staff at check-in was nice Public parking can be free They let us go after one night for which we needed to pay more but at least we did not have to cover all nights
Cons: Heating did not work so the room was too cold which is a deal breaker Bed was uncomfortable For us it was a terrible choice so we left after one night even though we booked three
7.0 Good
Pros: Trendy atmosphere, great cafe with delicious cakes and coffee. Super central location with the No.33 bus outside to go to Granada. Staff very friendly and helpful. Very clean rooms. Garage was essential as parking was limited in the area.
Cons: Breakfast was limited, just toasted bread with a couple of toppings and beverages but the cost of the stay was reasonable so we did not mind. No hand washing soap in room.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Good and clean hotel, nice staff, and the bus stop directly in front of the hotel!
Cerro del Sol - Cenes de la Vega - Building
2
8.1 Excellent (750 reviews)

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Good location for us Granada/sierra nevada. first class hotel.
Cons: all ok
4.0 Okay
Pros: Easy access to the bus It had character
Cons: Quality of the furnishings in the room, torn curtains, shower that couldn't stay in position, lousy quality soap and had to keep asking for more, no storage for clothes other than one rail and one small shelf, damaged picture frame. The whole room and hotel needs refurbishment.
4.6 Okay
Pros: The rooms were large and the view was amazing. The staff were nice and the breakfast, although basic, was OK.
Cons: The beds were extremely uncomfortable with a plastic mattress cover which rattled everytime you moved. The shower would lose power and then go cold and then extremely hot (be aware if you have children). It was dusty and the top bed cover was grubby. The towels were Grey (supposed to be white) and threadbare.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice and clean room. It was good for the 1 night I stayed. It's a little bit out of Granada, but easy enough to reach the city by bus (no.33), since parking in the city centre is complicated and expensive.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice small hotel in the hilly area of Cenes de la Vega with stunning views of the mountains, some woodland and the town. Very ample rooms with views and nice decoration. The staff was very friendly and helpful
Cons: The reason I don't rate 10 on everything is because the hotel it's not properly noise isolated and you could hear noisy neighbors having conversations and going in and out of their rooms at 12:30 am. Also at around the same time the consierges where having an animated conversation without even shouting a door that would help isolate the reception from the rooms corridor. I would call that a little lack of consideration. After all a big part of the experience in any hotel is having a good night sleep.
7.5 Good
Pros: The quaint, old fashioned nature of the place. It's in a lovely setting looking out at the Sierra mountains. Log fires in the bar/restaurant area in the evenings, which did become quite cold. Friendliness of the current generation of the family who run the business. Always someone available on the premises.
Cons: Noise. My first night the occupant(s) of the room directly across the corridor from me were so incredibly & unnecessarily loud. The television was blaring, a female seemed to be in incessantly on the phone & talking louder than the television. The male, when he did talk, was also shouting over the tv sound. When I knocked at the door to request that they turn down the volume they did not open it, just called "Que". The 2nd afternoon/night a member of staff was in this same room using what sounded like a 'kango' hammer. I know it was off season, mid November, and hotels etc. have to do maintenance but if it's going to be this intrusive, surely the premises should close for whatever days the noisy work takes?! To be fair when I went over there Julian assured me he was finished, and it did stop! Breakfast was limited & very repetitive.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: I use rented car to move around, easy to park around the hotel. Friendly staff. Clean room, and spacious.
Cons: Bathroom door need to be fixed.
7.0 Good
Pros: Good location for Granada centre access both by car (approx 6 km) and by bus (stop close to the hotel)
Cons: Bedside lighting is very poor. Hardly adequate for reading.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Lovely quiet pool area. Nice dining room and terrace. Great views. Super location-just 3 mins walk from bus stop and then just 1euro 40, to get into Granada.
Cons: A bit more variety at breakfast would be nice

6.0 Good
Pros: Location, food & staff
Cons: Had to move rooms no secure safe, second room air con ineffective and safe inoperable. Parking overpriced.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Rooms are perfectly clean and very spacious. Breakfast is simply awesome.
6.3 Good
Pros: Very attractive hotel with a quite spectacular lobby. Restaurant and bar very good by comparison with usual hotel offering.
Cons: Had to change room in the early hours due to noisy antisocial behaviour in the adjacent road. This then put us on the opposite side of the hotel alongside a very busy main carriageway end result three night poor sleep.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Good location and breakfast had a lot of variety with hot and cold food
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Location was very good, and the hotel was good value for money. Room was a good size and very comfortable.
Cons: Beware of the underground carpark, it was very tight and not easy to access in a large car, not to be tackled if you are a nervous driver!
6.8 Good
Pros: Good location within walking distance of most major attractions.
Cons: The air conditioning in the rooms only works from May - sometime in the fall. So even though it was 30 degrees C outside in April, the rooms couldn't be cooled off without opening the windows. However the street noise makes it difficult to sleep with the windows open. Hotel mgmt said there was nothing they could do about this. We were told "it's winter....". I just find it strange that the lobby was air conditioned & cool, but the rooms couldn't be. Also if you're bringing a car please note the parking garage is a very tight fit.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything
Cons: Heater continually on

Cons: local area traffic is a nightmare but that is common in Grenada. the buffet was not great but acceptable
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We stayed room only, lovely big room. The reception staff were amazing, even left my daughter a small gift as she was practicing her Spanish. Would highly recommend this hotel.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Very Friendly and helpful staff both on reception and in the dining room. Even the car park guy was helpful - I got a top up charge for my electric car for free. Location is an easy find from the motorway and a reasonable walk into the historic area. Getting the hop on hop off tourist train at the nearest stop to the hotel made visiting all the sites easy
1.0 Poor
Pros: Location
Cons: We are a family with 3 years old girl. When we came, we were offered to upgrade to family room. We did so and paid additional sum of many. This was a mistake. Every night other guests were smoking in their rooms and cigarette smoke came through vents into our rooms. A few times fire alarm went off during the night but nobody cared about that. When we spoke to personel, they did nothing. We were totally disappointed. Worst hotel we have stayed!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very good facilities, breakfast was very good and varied.
Cons: Nothing of note.

7.0 Good
Pros: Location close to Alhambra perfect for avisit
8.0 Excellent
Pros: In the circumstances of probable job-losses, etc., because of Covid-19, the staff were wonderful – charming, helpful, pleased with the attempts by my daughter & me to speak their language.
Cons: Access to El Alhambra! Out of the hotel's control.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Very close to Alhambra
Cons: A uphill walk from the main town
4.0 Okay
Pros: The close proximity to public transport and the Alhambra.
Cons: We paid extra for a terrace with a view. The trees were too close and too high to enable a view. The instructions on how to operate the room safe were different to the instructions on the safe. The A4 sheet of paper detailing Hotel “rules” was obviously very out of date. Started by telling us that the “Boy” who had shown us to our room would have shown us the usual services of the hotel and point out where we were to go in case of emergency. We found our own way to the room! Several needless notifications about not smoking in the room and to keep the ashtrays clean! Not to put tissues or handkerchiefs over lights. To ensure that the cardboard, paper or plastics tulips do not come into contact with bulbs. (Obviously not real). Presumably we should have had some in our room. The bathroom was very basic. Spacious yes but nowhere to put a wash bag. No shaving mirror. No tissues. The thinnest toilet paper we have encountered. Breakfast was passable, totally self service including hot drinks from a machine. Tried the a la carte menu which was good. Not a big choice, but at least hot. Also tried the buffet, had a cold buffet because the hot was also cold. This hotel should never have been accredited 4stars. Can only think that it’s proximity to the Alhambra and possibly views from other rooms gave it that rating. Would never ever stay there again.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Location was great and the breakfast was excellent.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: We had planned a two night trip to Granada and wanted to be close to Alhambra for an early morning visit, plus needed parking - the Hotel Alixares ticked the boxes! Excellent bus service into city but also walked and used Uber. City was vibrant at night with lots of little streets to explore.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was in a perfect location, 5 minutes walk to the Alhambra and bus stops. The buses were very easy to use. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We had to the buffet breakfast each morning which set us up for the day.
Cons: Nothing

Pros: This was the second time we made a reservation in this hotel. It is very well located, nearby Recogidas. The rooms are good, decent beds, nice bathroom.
Cons: For the second time we had a room giving out to an inner court yard, so no views at all. There is a bar at the hotel, but it´s not a very nice or inviting one. There are better options to have a drink in the same street.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly helpful staff. Great breakfast. Good location.
Cons: There was no view from our room. Hotel room was too warm over night as it was heated and we couldn't control it.

Pros: This is a traditional Spainish hotel in a converted older mansion. The rooms were comfortable with all ammenities provided, even a comfortable chair. The bathroom was clean and shower necessities were provided, too.
Cons: About the only negative thing I could say is that since the hotel is right next to the Alcazar which is undergoing revovations, there was construction noise starting at 8 am each morning.

Pros: This hotel is perfectly located- easy to get to with a car, not too central but with a nice walking distance to the sight seeings. I was absolutely surprised to see how clean and well kept our room was, as we were travelling with our small dog and it was pet friendly. We even had a balcony!! The service was great, the room very clean and comfortable. I will for sure go back!
Cons: The SPA area.. It has everything listed on the booking and the photos are accurate, but it doesn't make you feel like you are in a SPA. The saunas were not very hot, the jacucci was alright. Some more love to this area would be great.

Pros: Hotel is in a good location, within easy walking distance of many things. Helpful staff. Room was clean and tidy.

Pros: Superb views of Granada from roof top terrace. Great location for central Granada. Room was spotlessly clean.

Cons: A watercooker or coffee facilities in the room would be nice. The bar and restaurant though are very good and Ysla next door is an awesome place for coffee or breakfast.

Pros: The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. I received outstanding service from check in to check out.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is probably the best hotel I have stayed In as the staff are exceptional. Making this the reason I would never stay anywhere else. Awesome base to see the city . I will be back !!!
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff was most welcoming. Room beautiful. Prices amazing.
Cons: I could only stay there one night.
10.0 Excellent
Cons: When I arrived at 3:30, I and other guests had to wait thirty minutes for our rooms to be cleaned. I was tired from traveling and I really wanted to get into my room as soon as possible so that was my only disappointment.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Located within a few blocks of the center of the city, this beautiful hotel is a prize. Friendly multi-lingual staff; comfortable, clean, modern rooms; roof top bar -- what is there not to like? Really enjoyed ourselves.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very large bathroom and comfortable bed. The candy in the lobby and the treats in the room were a nice touch as well.
Cons: The windows did not isolate sound very well. We heard a lot of noise from outside such as cars and people from nearby bars. Also, the shower leaked from the bottom and water pooled up on the floor.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We never ate breakfast in the hotel as thought it was a bit expensive but lots of eating places nearby. The hotel was very central for Plaza Nueva, Alhambra, Albaicin district, Puerta Real district and cathedral etc.
Cons: Couldnt fault the hotel at all. Only criticism would be for the rooftop bar maybe to be open in the afternoon as we went up a couple of times late afternoon and it wasnt open.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Location was excellent, located a few blocks from the cathedral and right next to the Albaicin neighborhood. We took a 10 minuter Uber ride up to the AlHambra then walked back to the hotel in under 15 minutes. Bed was absolutely wonderful.
Cons: The terrace is only open Thursday to Sunday. You have to pay 22 Euros to use the spa for one hour.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Basically, we stayed there for one night and we made the most of our trip. Everything was walkable distance. The hotel is at the center of everything. The room was spacious and the staff were too friendly. I could not get my eyes off their smiles. They made feel very welcomed.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Right in the middle of two tourist friendly parts of Granada: the terrain around the Cathedral (flat) and the Albaicin district (lots of walking up and down). The Gran Via de Colon street is one of the most important ones in the city but the traffic is not too noisy. The hotel is inside a beautiful buidling and has got a rooftop restaurant with a nice view of the Alhambra, not the best one, but at least not as crazy crowded as the Mirador de San Nicolás. The rooms are comfortable, clean, and with a great view of the Gran Via and the Cathedral if your window faces the street.
8.2 Excellent
Pros: It was close to the tourist sites & modern.
Cons: Only English language TV was news programs.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location is great, staff super nice
