Pros: Amazing hosts so warm and genuine. The 5 course meal and accompanying wines were just extraordinarily & an absolute taste sensation.. Phillipe has chef's in nightsbridge had his own restaurant and now this fabulous couple have this lovely converted barn where the fine dining continues.... fabulous 5 star all round
Pros: Everything was amazing, The food was fantastic, great hosts in every way
Pros: Phillipe, the Patron was a star. A charming host and superb cook we were treated to a most sumptuous table d’hote and an amazing breakfast. Very rural and not an easy place to find as it is well outside Vicq, but google maps took us to the door. Very comfortable rooms
Cons: No problems
Pros: We were warmly greeted by both the hosts. The location was rural tranquility. The room was well equipped and comfortable. We really enjoyed both the evening meal, and the breakfast. The meals and the wine with the evening meal were outstanding. The atmosphere encourages communication with your other dinner guests. It’s certainly a returner.
Pros: Fabulous dinner accompanied by good wines, included in price. Go with an appetite.
Pros: Third time staying here. Made welcome (as usual); property clean and fresh. Dinner and breakfast were superb, as usual. If you want an outstanding dinner, stay here.
Pros: The Dinner prepared by the proprietors served with matching wines was superb. David and Jeanette
Pros: We liked the stylish bedroom and bathroom and the whole conversion of this former farm building was very well done. Our hosts were very friendly and helpful and we enjoyed our conversations, particularly as they spoke good English, which made up for our limited French. Most of all, we enjoyed the food, which was of a very high standard, beautifully presented and explained by Phillippe, who was clearly very keen to ensure we were delighted with everything on the plates.

Pros: Very tastefully decorated. Owners very friendly. They cooked a superb dinner for us (had to book in advance). Our bedroom was very comfortable and spacious. We were staying with our 4-year old son and he had his own full-sized bed to make it a family room. Lovely grounds, which will be even better when the weather improves.
Pros: Atmosphere, food.
Pros: Beautiful place, delicious breakfast a very friendly welcome. We arrived late at night so when we got up and saw the place during the day we were amazed. It is simply breathtaking!
Cons: The room was a little cold.
When you stay at Maison Du Prince De Conde in Charroux, you'll be in the historical district and 17.5 mi (28.1 km) from Gorges de la Sioule. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Attractive old building with an interesting history.
Cons: The reception from the proprietor, the condition of the building and garden and restaurant closed for 2 days each week. A ridiculous power bath too large for the bathroom with a hand held shower rose and no means of mounting it on the wall and with a sloping ceiling over which prevented one from standing upright. A repositioned independent shower cubicle in lieu of a bath would have been far more practical and a better use of the space.
Pros: Beautiful village. Lovely Hosts. Wonderful breakfast. The actual hotel is bursting with character and charm
Cons: Nothing. Everything was better than expected
Pros: Beautiful bedroom - very ‘French’! Beautiful new bathroom. Lovely breakfast in a courtyard. Very comfy bed. A unique place.
Cons: The room we had was approached via a dark and gloomy stone turret with a spiral staircase. It was tricky climbing this with heavy cases. We didn’t ask for help but it would have been nice to have been offered it even if this meant waiting for a strong person to arrive later. Some guests might find this entry daunting (if not beyond them) so might be useful to check ahead of arrival if someone might be available to help.
Cons: Excellent food! Wish we could visit more often.
