3.2 Mediocre
Pros: There were very few if any good points.
Cons: Could not check in until 6 pm. Room was small with no chairs. tv was small, ancient without a remote control. Despite particularly cold weather the heating never came on. From ordering breakfast, it took 40 minutes to arrive. Food was unimpressive and not value for money. Safe car parking virtually impossible.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Meals and breakfast excellent. Room excellent. Staff pleasant and couldn't do enough for you.
Cons: No bad points really except not being able to book in until 6.00 pm
6.8 Good
Pros: The breakfast was better than some 5 star hotels we've stayed in as was the evening meal.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Rooms were very nice, modern but classical. Food was excellent.
Cons: Check-in can be slightly problematic as it is only available when the bar is open, which is after 6pm mid-week.
7.2 Good
Pros: Charming location, very atmospheric pub / hotel with old world feel. Staff very helpful and competent. Food excellent. Bed very comfortable. Clean throughout
Cons: No shower over bath (I believe due to water tank installation problems). Lighting in room not in keeping with decor. Decor a little faded in both the bedroom and bathroom. Access to room from pub / outside rather tatty. Food, although, as above, excellent was rather expensive.
