Staff was helpful and friendly. Room was spacious and clean. Free wireless internet in the room worked very well. Hotel feels like a base of old-style with the beginnings of modernization/stylization. Bathroom, for instance, was well renovated and new while carpet and room furnishings were from another era. Breakfast was fresh and plentiful, with juice, coffee, cheeses, meats, cereals, bread, butter, jam, and small pastries.
Only complaint - and it's minor - is the beds. Mattresses are a little thin. Not uncomfortable but quite what you would expect.
Hotel is clean. The room is clean. Celaning service is coming every day.Breakfast between 7-10 is good.
The distance between Megalos and Mamaia center is 10km, same between Megalos Constanta center. Mamaia center can be reached only by car and by taxi. Taxi trip to Mamaia Center costs about 4 euro daytime and 6 euro during night.Be carefull because are many taxi drivers with counterfeited taxation units.
The breakfast was good.
The most unexpected thing was that I received a twin room instead of double room. I made the check in at 8 PM, in this time the hotell staff called me twice but I could not answer. I called them back at 7 PM to tell them that I'm on my way. When I arrived at hotel, the lady from receiption gave me two twin rooms instead of two double rooms. Now I understand that he called me because I was delayed and he gave my rooms to someone else who had reserved twin rooms. I was not satisfied by her answer that "those are the only two rooms available" because I did want rooms with a double bed, not with two single beds. Even after many discution with the Director of the hotel or with booking staff I could not obtained what I reserved.
