Very friendly staff who spoke good English and were extremely helpful. Allowed us to check in earlier than stated. Rooms were clean and had lovely views across the valley. Breakfast was good with great coffee. Free use of swimming pool at a club a couple of miles away.

Excellent! Very good bed, breakfast, decor, and air conditioning. The view and balcony (on request) were among the best for the money I’ve had in Portugal. Beautiful shiny coffee machine making lattes on demand at breakfast. Lovely setting in a most comfortable, newly renovated hotel. The sports theme is more charming than you might think, and it means there’s a full gym, not a hotel-style one. Great place.
Hall and stairway light motion detectors come on slowly, which is great from an eco standpoint, but not if you’re nervous about personal security (no matter the safe feeling of the country/location).
