Nice newly built hotel that was located in the middle of nowhere with lots of garbage in surrounding area.
No reading lamps in the rooms
Clean and superb location. Friendly staff and amazing views.
The maid took the trash down the street to a municipal bin that local authorities had not emptied in quite some time. It was overflowing and trash was everywhere. Dogs opened the trash bags from our room and our own trash littered the ground which was heartbreaking when I'd spent time on the beach doing clean up of other peoples trash mostly left during summer season. There was trash on the immediate beach area that the hotel could have, and should have, cleaned up including a large number of straws and plastic bottles. The straws were used in their beach bar. Why is an 'eco hotel' using straws at all when they are so unfriendly to sea life? It's not really an ECO hotel.
Very good location with the beach only a few meters away. The hotel is small and it feels like a family. The room has a decent size and the double bed is very large. The restaurant food is good but no desserts are on offer.
The access road has no asphalt for the last 200 meters and we got a puncture. The internet was a bit flaky at times. The breakfast was nice but always the same everyday (it is not a buffet), a greater choice there would be appreciated. There is no lift. The bar at the beach was not staffed.
It is possible to pay by card at the hotel and restaurant. The place is really great - the sea and the mountains. The room was spacious with high ceiling. Free beach towels could be obtained on the reception, free loungers and parasols at the beach.
It was the end of the season so the breakfast was not so reach as it could be. At the evening you have nothing to do - only to seat in the bar. Far from center and activitites No bedside lamps. Bad road near the hotel - asphalt ends in 200 meters before parking.
The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and WiFi worked fine. The breakfast was adequate. Good view of the beach from room and dining area, and very pretty surrounding mountain side.
Area surrounding the front and back of the hotel was a bit messy, but the actual hotel itself was an attractive building and looked nice from the outside. We had dinner at the hotel, but unfortunately the guests at the next table (the only other guests at the hotel having dinner) had put the television on so loud we could hardly have a conversation with each other, and they had a young child who was throwing cutlery onto the floor continuously and throwing a tantrum (this was also late in the evening). Although not directly the hotel’s fault, it just tainted our experience of having dinner there- we left as soon as we could. Perhaps the hotel could enforce turning the television off during dinner times (or moving it to a different area) would be better for everyone to enjoy their meals in peace. The Drymades beach in general had quite a lot of litter on it (not necessarily the hotel’s fault) although it does say “private beach” in the description, and you would hope the surrounding hotel’s would make an effort to clear up the litter left on the beach in front of them. We felt in general this was disappointing, as Drymades was rated as one of the best beaches in Albania. It was disheartening to see that no efforts are being made to clear up the litter/protect the coastal environment (again not necessarily the hotel’s fault). Especially since it is such a beautiful stretch of coastline, the local community should try their best to protect and conserve it. Hopefully in years to come this will improve. Thank you for the stay
