Beautiful & historical property!
Shame about the impact of the drought - I thought the house would be incredible if complemented by a lush garden.
An amazing house and feel privileged to have the opportunity to stay there!
Loved the billiard room and the period features. We enjoyed meeting other guests and their dogs. The room was spotless and very comfortable. Enjoyed the peace and quiet away from the town. If we come back to Dubbo we will be staying again
The cottage was old and beautiful, the kids loved the pool and games room with a huge snooker table and movie screen. We loved the the setup and the old heritage look and location, however I also found alot of things disappointing on our stay.
The cottage was not clean, I found huntsman spiders crawling out of the lounge and in other areas of the house, also bull ants getting inside, and flocks of small ants taking over the kitchen. All of the kitchen utensils were dirty, and only parts of the cottage had air conditioning. It is cruicial to have AC in a location like dubbo due to the high temps. First 2 nights we had our privacy, however on last night we had a maintenance man come and hang around for more than 5 hours, going in and out of the cottage using fridge etc..was a bit odd! The cleaning lady was nice, but we were not too impressed about her turning up at 9am to clean when our checkout was 10am.
