This hotel has facilities measuring 215 square feet (20 square meters), including conference space. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Great dinner, cosy livingroom with fireplace, great atmosphere, beautiful surroundings.
Pros: Wonderful and lovely
Pros: Good atmosphere, just like a home feeling. Close to cross country skiing. Snow plising excellent. Good storage for skis. Cosy.
Pros: The food was good and generous, as were facilities within the hotel.
Cons: Distance from ski lifts/bus meant tied to hotel's daily shuttles, which meant a shorter ski day and less flexibility.
Pros: Beautiful and cozy place in an amazing location (could be called "middle of nowhere with scenic views" which for us makes it perfect!). Great facilities, including well equipped gym and sauna. Nice living room with a fire place, comfortable room and extremely nice and helpful hosts. But the best part was food! Simple, but high quality breakfasts and excellent dinners (so good that I could come back only because of them!).
When you stay at Pensionat Mullfjället in Duved, you'll be near ski lifts, within a 15-minute drive of Are Ski Resort and Are Bjornen Children's Ski Area. Featured amenities include luggage storage, a library, and a safe deposit box at the front desk. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Superb breakfast and dinner, excellent help with car problems
Pros: Very welcoming place. We were picked up at Åre St. (2ppl + a dog), and were daily asked if we needed a lift somewhere. We took this opportunity the day I went cross country skiing, and my son was dropped off at Kabinbanan, Åre, on the way. Lovely food, though my teenage son has a flair for more warm options for breakfast. But, bare in mind, this is a pension, not a five star hotel, and how Eva the host, was able to prepare all on her own, is beyond me. A firework of a human being. We did spend our first night at Hotel Fjällgården , Åre, but would choose the Pension Mülfjället without question, in the future. At Fjällgården the coffee came from a ‘Gevalia’ - machine, at Mülfjāllet the coffee tasted fresh, and of proper coffee. Wonderful to have sauna after back from skiing. Very clean facilities. In the morning and evenings there was lit up in the fire place at the reception. I miss it already. Thank you for an unforgettable stay and hospitality.
Cons: It would have been more cosy in the living room/ tv room, if the fire place would be lit for some hours after dinner.
Pros: I stayed there for 2 weeks and loved it. Especially Eva but also the other staff were super helpful (picked me up, drove me to places etc.) and just really warm and friendly. The food was fresh and tasty. In general the place felt like a second home away from home. The sauna was also a big plus.
Cons: not much, maybe just that the place could be closer to the cross-country slopes and skilifts but as the staff sometimes drove me there, it was fine. Also it means its nice and quiet there.
Pros: Amazing hospitality and the best sauna I have had during my 3week trip in Scandinavia.
Pros: Superb service and great food!
Pros: It was cozy and felt like a home rather than a hotel
Cons: Maybe a cozy bar around the fire would be extra nice but this is not a criticism
Pros: Pick-up at the train station; transportation to the ski station, nice and kind people. Cozy place to enjoy the mountains. Home-made dinner.
Cons: Shared bathrooms.

Featured amenities include a business center, express check-out, and dry cleaning/laundry services. Planning an event in Are? This hotel has facilities measuring 21528 square feet (2000 square meters), including conference space. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
Pros: Staff customer service was excellent, room small but clean
Pros: Pool, breakfast, staff, nice feeling to reception, comfortable room, wonderful views, kids club for our teenagers (just during Sportlov I think).
Cons: Room tidy could have been more frequent - once every two days? Perfect location for station, lake and apres ski, but difficult with skis in the morning and afternoon - perhaps provide lockers near the kabin or railway?
Cons: Breakfast was poor. Further, information about alternative food for gluten- and lactose intolerant guests was incorrect. This was a big disappointment. For the price requested for the room a decent breakfast with gluten- and lactose-free alternatives should be totally possible.
Pros: Room perfect : hot, space to dry ski clothes, Spa perfect Pool perfect Breakfast : really good with lots of space
Cons: Rooms are not cleaned every day. Nobody in the reception tells you about it during check in. I asked two days to the cleaning staff to clear the room, they said “yes” and it was not cleaned the last night of our stay.

Pros: Location and very friendly and helpful staff
Pros: good staff
Pros: everything was great
Cons: the heating in the room
Pros: Nice sauna, excellent food
Cons: There could have been a drying room for ski clothes
Pros: Fjällgården’s location is just perfect - true ski in and ski out. Good food any time of the day when you wake up or come in hungry after a day in the slopes or skiing classic. SPA, sauna and outdoor bathtubs are really nice - the view from the bathtub is so beautiful, in particular in the sunset. And afterski - is fun, loud & short (meaning that the place is quiet again for dinner time, not to mention by the time you go to sleep). And great to be home already when the afterski ends. Taking the old, cute Bergbanan to the village and back home again is nice. Travelled with family - both adults and our teenagers liked the place very much and we would certainly come again if we are back in Åre.
Cons: very disappointing anniversary trip my partner and I took to Åre, Sweden in December-January where we stayed at Hotel Fjällgården. We were charged an enormous amount of money for what was advertised and promised as an “easy access”, “ski-in, ski-out” hotel charging a huge premium for supposed convenience. The issues that we encountered during our stay initiated as soon as we arrived and lasted throughout our stay right up until the minute we left. Some of the main issues were as below: 1. The Bergbanan (Funicular) was unoperational and dysfunctional: The only available method of transport to get to the hotel from Åre village, was to catch the Bergbanan (which is a very old single cabin trolley also known as a funicular), TWO KILOMETERS up the mountain unless one wishes to walk the two kilometres carrying their suitcases, and snow gear, or fork out hundreds of SEK to pay for a taxi out of pocket as the hotel does not provide any other form of transport to get there. No shuttles, no buses, nothing!! The Bergbanan was out of order on three out of the six days that we stayed in Åre and the staff were unable to advise us when and if it would be fixed at all as supposedly this is an issue that happens all the time. This meant that on multiple occasions, including on New Year’s Eve, instead of being able to enjoy our stay in a hotel which we paid close to $3,000 AUD for, my partner and I had no choice but to walk the entire 2Km up the mountain while wearing our ski boots and carrying our skis and other personal belongings. This was further complicated by the fact that the uphill winding road that we had to walk to get to the hotel re many nicer, larger, and cheaper hotels around, which in hindsight, provide much better access to the slopes as well as the village centre. 2. Our room had to be changed THREE TIMES: Upon our arrival on the first night, we were given a very small room directly above the hotel bar where the daily after-ski celebrations take place.
Pros: Good location with reasonable price. However, skier has to be intermediate level if they optimize this great hotel location (this is personal opinion).
Cons: It was perfect for us If there was bath tub in the room.
When you stay at Åre Torg Hotell in Are, you'll be near the beach, within a 15-minute drive of Are Ski Resort and Are Bjornen Children's Ski Area. Featured amenities include luggage storage and laundry facilities. Limited parking is available onsite.
Pros: Property location was great! You just arrive on ski to the lobby.
Cons: Way below our expectations for the price paid
Pros: The circus decorations at the restaurant and entrance made us smile directly but the tasteful decoration inside and in the rooms gave us a really nice feeling. The bathrooms are share but always clean. We missed windows because it was so beautiful outside. Great breakfast, friendly service personal gave a touch to our staying. I definitely recommend.
Cons: Miss windows
Cons: The bed was only 140cm wide, the room was very small and had no window.
Pros: Location, convenience, friendliness of the staff! I was impressed with the cleanliness of the toilets and shower facilities on a daily basis. Sauna was great too!
Cons: Too hot in the rooms at night time. More air to breathe!
Pros: The location was amazing.
Cons: Very small rooms with no fridge.
Pros: Location is perfect. Staff were all great.. Especially "DAVE" you know who I mean..... lol Beds were comfortable Bathroom (private) was small but clean and functional Plenty of choice for breakfast Are is a lovely place.
Cons: Nothing really

Pros: Nice Hotel with very friendly staff.
Cons: rooms are Little bit old
Pros: Lovely place with lovely people. Great breakfast, comfy bed, warm and cosy, amazing dinner and they make a really good G&T.
Cons: Literally only one small things...There was no shampoo/conditioner.
Pros: The hotel was lovely - lots of social space to relax in, and a huge roaring fire. Breakfast was excellent and served in a room with lovely mountain views. Dinner in the main restaurant was superb - so much so that we ate there a couple of nights. Staff were attentive and friendly.
Cons: Soundproofing in the bedroom was not good - we were awoken each morning at 6am by the kitchen below preparing breakfast. Just check where your room is located!
Pros: The hotel looks very nice and the room was cozy. Good location.
Cons: The remote control didn't work. Only on/off button. It was dust on the shelfs and in the bathroom.

Pros: This is a lovely hotel with really attentive hosts. The room was really cozy and we loved the view from the hotel. The town and slopes are only a short walk. Breakfast was amazing and the breakfast room is really nice. Would definitely recommend
Cons: We loved our stay. Normally we prefer private bathrooms but didn’t mind at all in this place.
Pros: Personal touch with the service.
Pros: The breakfast was prepared perfectly with attention to details.
Cons: There is nothing that you wouldn't like at Åre BnB place. Its hard to find it even if you look for.

Pros: I liked this one a lot. Especially that every detail was in place. Extremely nice receptionist, good breakfast, very good bed and awesome products in the bathroom. Cannot say anything negative actually.
Pros: Staff location and comfort
Pros: Perfect location. This is a hotel with traditions.
Pros: Very nice hotel in the mountains. Everything was clean. The staff was very helpful
Pros: Great staff. Very helpful accommodating my schedule around mountain biking. Great location in the center of the village. Right next to all the mtb rental shops and restaurants.
Located in Are, Buustamons Fjällgård is within a 15-minute drive of Are Ski Resort and Are Bjornen Children's Ski Area. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. Guests may use a roundtrip airport shuttle for a surcharge, and free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Fantastic mountain hut. One of the best breakfasts I’ve had anywhere, excellent 5 course dinner of local specialties. Hot tubs, big sauna. Location is ski-in, ski-out. Hidden in the woods and a 25EUR taxi ride to town though, so not the best place to explore Are. All the staff were superb. Shared bathrooms not a problem, there are plenty and never had to wait.
Cons: Ornate carvings on bunk beds look nice, but continually smacking myself on them. Would be much easier to get in and out of a simpler bed. Comfy once in them though.
This hostel is just 100 metres from Åre Train Station and the Bergbanan Funicular. It features free Wi-Fi and a popular restaurant and bar with a wide selection of beers. A TV and seating area are provided in each Parkvillan room. All have access to shared bathroom facilities in the hallway. Nordic-inspired cuisine is served in Parkvillan’s restaurant. During nice weather, guests can enjoy relaxing on the terrace. A light breakfast bag is also offered. Åre Square with a variety of restaurants, shops and nightclubs is 30 metres from the hostel. Area activities include skiing, hiking and fishing.
Pros: Nice rooms and perfect location in the middle of Åre. I can really recommend this place.
Cons: There is a restaurant/pub on the first floor from which you will hear noice at evenings.
Pros: The breakfast came prepared in a box. It contained a sandwhich, juice, an apple and yoghurt. Coffee and tea was available. Although basic, it was what most people would need or want anyway. The room was very beautiful and cosy.
Cons: The toilets and showers are shared. There were three showers for six (?) rooms, but only one toilet. We were the only people staying that night, so it was totally fine for us. But during busy times you probably need to be willing to queu up at times. The TV was some kind of weird high-tech solution and there were no instructions to be found. So no tv for us.
Cons: Sandwich in the breakfast package was terrible. Everything else perfect!
Pros: The hotel is good on really nice location. The personal at hotel is trying help you as possible they can. The price is good for Åre and really clean w.c and duschar. Nice breakfast and really good bar got this hotel with a lot of beers to choice and nice irish music to play background.
Pros: My second stay. I love this place, warm, comfy, close to everything. Breakfast is a bit lame but could be fantastic with better bread and if we could have juice/yogurt options...like plain yogurt, instead of sweet. Looking forward to next stay.
Cons: Internet kept dropping one night and there was no way to ask anyone for assistance if you don’t have a local phone! But no biggie.
Pros: Clean, comfortable place. Very practical arrangement for those with skis. Good restaurant downstairs.
Cons: Simple table, utensils and plate would be nice. It would make preparation of the breakfast much easier. Coffee machine did not work (there was instant coffee available).
Pros: Loved the location absolutely amazing. The people in the village were a ton of fun. Reasonable price.
Pros: Perfect spot in Åre. Clean, close to lift, great burgers, great beers and friendly staff.

Pros: Central location and great value for money. Simple check in and check out procedure. I have nothing to complain about and look forward to staying here again.
Pros: Location is very central. Apart was neat and clean. Landlords were really helpful.
Cons: It’s like cherry picking now but I can say washing machine was not that great.
Pros: Small but cosy! we were able to use the washing machine , the dryer machine and the sauna as much as we needed/ wanted.
Cons: I do not get why you have to pay for the cleaning or the lining....anyway, at least it had all the cleaning gear needed for you to clean before leaving, so all in all, not bad.
Pros: The guest house has a good location. It was right in front of the train station. You can do great walks towards every direction. However, considering you have to make your own bed, it is quite pricey.
Pros: Everything. Perfect location and amazing views.
